Fully supportive every step of the process which at times was overwhelming for me selling and buying in one process solo. Someone was always available to provide information and advice. Special mention to Ian who with Emma suggested a beautiful property and made what was an emotional move much easier.

From the day we visited the sales office in Clitheroe Sam and Alison have been excellent. Apart from being friendly and welcoming they were helpful, knowledgeable and totally professional and have made the journey for our purchase smooth and stress free. They are a great team and in our opinion, a valuable asset to Taylor Wimpey.

Very disappointing after-sales service – be careful before buying

I purchased a bungalow from Taylor Wimpey at the Lockside Wharf development in Stratford-upon-Avon, and my experience has been extremely disappointing.

After moving in, I discovered that there was no shaver socket in the bathroom. I contacted Taylor Wimpey and even offered to pay for the installation myself, but my request was refused. This was particularly frustrating because their website states that bathrooms are provided with a shaver socket.

Another major issue is the garden. Before I purchased the property, I raised concerns about the slope and was told by the sales office that there would only be a slight gradient. However, the reality is very different. The garden is uneven and becomes extremely steep from the middle to the end. I believe I was misled regarding the extent of the slope.

When I raised this issue with Taylor Wimpey, they refused to help and simply stated that I had signed the documents. I found this response very disappointing and feel that the information provided before purchase did not accurately reflect the finished garden. Prospective buyers should be very careful and ensure they fully understand what they are agreeing to.

Dealing with Taylor Wimpey often feels like a constant battle. They seem to have little regard for customer satisfaction and no longer appear to care about their reputation. As a homebuyer, I expected much better service and support.

To make matters worse, my neighbour purchased a property from Miller Homes, and the difference in customer care has been remarkable. Miller Homes have been far more responsive and have looked after their customers’ needs much better. In comparison, my experience with Taylor Wimpey has been extremely disappointing.

If it were possible to give less than one star, I would. What should have been an exciting experience buying a new home has instead been overshadowed by poor after-sales service, misleading information, and a lack of customer care.

The process of buying a house is good, but my son brought his house in Burton-upon-Trent and no end of problems with windows not opening, window locks broke & front door canopy faulty.

We first meet Alison in November, when we decided to move back from Spain. She was very helpful, and helped us to pick our dream home. When ever we needed some help or guidence Alison, Sam or Eloy where always there at the end of the phone to give us advice.

Fantastic staff and experience from start to finish. Nathan, Jodie & Amy at Perry fields were sensational. So friendly, welcoming and really cared for our journey.

Can’t thank TW enough! We love our New Home already!!!

The team in the site office are fantastic. They do amazing work.

(Short-lived). The staff at the Manchester and Warrington sites are awful! My gosh, what must it take for a customer to actually lose their cool with staff like that... really really really rude staff, that is what!

This is my second review to Taylor Wimpey as my first one was all about the sales experience from Lisa.

Outstanding customer care at Stoneridge Hall Washington.

Next stage, we are in and settled. What I would say is, yes there will be a snagging list but Lucy our customer relations manager has equally been outstanding.

Everyone will have a Lucy. Speak to them. They are there to help you. Everything was explained professionally…. How to use your oven properly, shrinkage, paint work, solar panels, and so much more. Don’t ignore it, It’s valuable information and actually very interesting about new builds.

We are now in the process of getting our snagging list done some things pretty much straight away other maybe 2-3 weeks but Lucy keeps us updated weekly.
Albeit there has been some terrible workmanship from some companies but NOTHING that can’t be put right.

Overall experience from Lisa, Lucy and the tradesmen who have completed our snagging list - outstanding.

I have just reserved a house. Customer service has been excellent so far, kept informed and up to date. Very accomodating from a time perspective and helpful.

Both Millie and Amanda, where extremely friendly, open and we felt that they portrayed Taylor Wimpy in a very positive light.
We felt no pressure then or now as we continue with our purchase, which is something we have experienced with other builders.

My experience with buying a property is that I am moving from England have lived their for 36 years so I am coming home to Scotland which has its own challenges. Mya has been brilliant all the way through. Helpful on phone calls and emails and always friendly during appointments.

We have reserved a plot at the Marske site and the process has been really easy. Holly has been great at answering all my questions and making sure I have all the information and paperwork required. I Jeff emailed a few times and the response has always been quick. The house is beautiful, well made and I love the attention to detail . Would recommend to friends and family

We purchased our second house on the same development Greendale Park 12 months after our first due to a new arrival in the family and needing more space.

Lisa has been fantastic from start to finish for us, our first home has been really well constructed and any small issues we have had were sorted promptly and efficiently. I am confident when we get into our new home in August/September we will have the same support and ease as last time.

I would 100% recommend Taylor Wimpey!
