Good facilities but needs more staff…
Good facilities but needs more staff and pool tables need to be prebookable, since people just hog them.

Staff were brilliant, venue not so much
Staff were brilliant, venue not so much.
All the staff I saw and interacted with were pleasant and professional. One in particular was brilliant - she was on the front desk while we were there and she was helpful, kind and went above and beyond. (She had curly hair, in two french plaits and I think she was from up North).
It was good to see the place so busy, even on a Monday morning. It's obviously well used and loved by the local community.
But I hadn't been for a few years and I was disappointed by the building itself. There's mould spreading across the ceiling at the entrance, a musty smell of cigarettes and the carpeted lift has obviously been urinated in, the stench was so awful. I had no choice but to use the lift since I arrived with my baby's pushchair. It was so unpleasant, it was enough to put me off returning again.
Added to that is the fact that it has become so expensive - it's such a shame to have to limit my child's enjoyment of bowling and avoid ordering food and drink because of the cost.
Bowling was part of a special day of fun on the final day of my son's half term holiday and unfortunately it kind of ruined it for me.

Paid for an hour bowling
Paid for an hour bowling, but the game was cut off after 45 minutes.
Complained to the manager, and after a lot of back and forth he eventually put it back on.

It was a fantastic morning, but the big screen wasn't working and so it spoilt our experience a little.

Fantastic atmosphere and top-notch service!
We had an absolutely brilliant time at Tenpin! From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making sure everything was set up perfectly for us. The lanes are well-maintained, the atmosphere is vibrant, and the energy of the place is just fantastic. It’s the perfect spot for a fun night out. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a seamless and enjoyable experience!

Really poor
Checking in took ages, only 1 member of staff checking people in even though there was another member of staff behind the counter.
Got to our lane which had glasses from the previous players still there.
Ordered drinks to be delivered to the lane, they didn't come. I had to go and ask a member of staff to see if my order was ready, it wasn't.
Overall, the staff had no urgency or customer service skills. The whole place felt completely chaotic.
We won't be coming back.

Waited far too long and kept being told the food was coming when it wasn't
We waited over an hour for food and the children became very restless because of this. It didn't help that we asked 3 times if our food was coming and were told yes, 5-10 minutes.
The staff there seemed to be trying their best but it felt like they needed much more staff. I'm reluctant to visit again and would certainly avoid ordering food.

I visit this venue regularly
I visit this venue regularly, purely because it's the nearest centre to me. The bowling itself was fine, what lets it down is the lack of maintenance in the arcade, cleanliness of the toilets and attitude of the staff/manager on trying to deal with issues when reported. Its in a great location and could do so much better with a decent management team

Fine for bowling but the rest is pretty terrible
The bowling alleys are great busy overall the place is pretty bad. Smashed door quen yoy walk in and its very run down. Could do with an update as has been like this for the last 10 years I have been. Won't be back soon

Potential being wasted
We do like the Tenpin in Bexleyheath but last couple of times we’ve visited there seems to be a string of issues which is partly due to it being so busy but mainly due to insufficient staff numbers. When you have a 25lane bowing alley at 100% capacity I think you can afford to pay more staff given the money it costs to go bowling these days.
Some of the issues.
Bowling booked for 2pm on a Sunday, arrived at 1.45 didn’t get on a lane until 2.20pm. Not ideal when you have excited young kids.
One person manning the bar. Overrun. Can’t keep up. Doing his best but what do you expect. Disgruntled customers waiting ages. Probs lots of people just give up and don’t bother. You’re losing revenue because you can’t be arsed to employ enough people during busy times.
Food was appalling. I’ve never seen such sad and dry, thin burgers in my life. They are a crime against humanity. The price of them vs the quality is a joke. Chips passable but dry and over cooked. Either do better or stop serving food as this is a total rip off.
Gents toilets were absolutely rank. The smell of urine coming from them was seeping out in to the pool table area. Seriously unpleasant.
The bowling itself was fine but the machine and scoreboard went out of sync on two occasions and we had to wait for this to be fixed.
Overall the experience has the potential to be a lot better. The staff are polite and doing their best but honestly they are overrun.
We will return and hope it’s improved but if not I think we’ll go elsewhere in the future as it seems based on current setup they are only interested in how much they can profit from your visit and couldn’t give a hoot about the customer experience.
This is a top tier management issue, not the poor staff on the ground that work there who are clearly trying their hardest.
