The location gives stunning views across the harbour. The studio, though small, is very comfortable, clean and a delight with everything required on hand. The hosts, Julie and Colin were very friendly and accommodating. We are looking forward to staying again in the near future. Excellent.

The Old Laundry, Crown Hotel, Exford
Lovely comfortable cottage. Well equipped and warm, this was our
second visit, plenty of walks near by to do.
Second visit to Coachmans Cottage and…
Second visit to Coachmans Cottage and just as impressive as the first - its certainly bijou but absolutely perfect for a couple (and their dog of course). The orchard is brilliant for an energetic dog and the access onto the footpath behind the house is great for walks to both Porlock and Porlock Weir, and beyond.
Would also highly recommend the Ship, or Top Ship as its known locally, excellent beers, especially Proper Job, and the food is super too!
Thank you once again for your hospitality David.
The accommodation is cosy and…
The accommodation is cosy and comfortable. Central Exmoor location great for reaching all the great walks.
Ideal for visitors with mobility issues.
Clean,, comfortable all essential amenities available.
Ample parking.
Enclosed large patio and seating area at the back of the property.
Will most certainly book again.
We came first time last year so…
We came first time last year so couldn’t wait to return. House is perfect for our size family with pool and facilities. Has been let go quite a bit unfortunately arrived with no hot water pool pump not working and not particularly clean. Had to wash all the cutlery and saucepans before using as had food on them still. Same as microwave and cooker and bbq. The rooms smell damp now so house needs a good airing some rooms have wallpaper peeling off door handles missing and drawer handles broken. One shower and toilet stopped working and a couple of days in we lost all water supply for nearly 24hrs. Julia was great brought us up bottled water for the day but no bath showers or flushing toilets not very good with 14 of us and a baby too. Pool was exceptionally cold on occasion and baby got a chill so didn’t use again. Garden table had disappeared just chairs and only 3 chairs in the kitchen which is crazy tbh had to bring dining room chairs through to use. Just sad the place has been let go compared to just a year ago. Even the tumble dryer wouldn’t stay on would click off constantly needing resetting. We had a great week as made it our own visiting other places etc..

Great company and lovely properties
Specialists in Exmoor properties. Have visited two so far, both excellent with accurate and honest descriptions. Easy to contact and book. 100% recommend.
Great house: ideal family location
Great location, plenty of room and ideal for our Spaniel Frank who loves the garden. Location gives you the opportunity to enjoy Exmoor; Lynmouth and it quirky shops; there is a riding stable only 5 minutes away, ideal for young children; lots of walks nearby. Dunster; historic village with its Castle and numerous walks. You will find bigger bigger shops and supermarkets in Minehead.
An ideal all round family holiday, short walk into Porlock for fresh food, unusually two butchers and convenience stores.
Our third time here and "The Best of Exmoor" a small business who can be trusted; contacted very easily with no waiting on the phone to get through to someone on a crib sheet and no local knowledge.
Cant get better.
Limescombe, Simonsbath, Somerset
A great location to visit lots of interesting places. Make sure you allow time to get off the farm as it is quite a way from the cottage to the road! But great to see lots of wildlife along the way. Kitchen well stocked with utensils, pots and pans and crockery etc. very homely, great showers, clean, comfy beds. Played lots of games around the kitchen table and great to be able to have meals altogether. Great views across to the hills. And being remote can make lots of noise as you won’t disturb anyone!
Holiday booking
Booking the holiday cottage was quick and easy on line. The booking and deposit were acknowledged promptly.
When I had to cancel the booking due to one of the party being injured in an accident, all queries regarding claiming for a refund of the deposit under the policy I had taken out when I made the booking were answered very promptly and gave clear advice and information
The owner of the cottage sent a sympathetic and independent email having heard the reason for the cancellation. I would definitely book through this company again
The cottage was so well equipped and…
The cottage was so well equipped and having the garage was a real bonus. A bit scary getting the car in the first time. We had great weather and sat in the garden a lot and the garden room. The location is really good, both to explore Dunster and the surrounding area. Also easy to get to many other coastal villages. Plenty of places to eat out too.
Stoke Pero, Exmoor
Lovely, isolated location Exmoor, very close to Dunkery Beacon and many other nice walks. Nearest villages/pubs were 20 min drive, with plenty toâ µ choose from.
Very clean, traditionally furnished Exmoor farmhouse with many period features. Plenty of space for a family of four with a dog.
Kitchen was well organised with plenty of cutlery, crockery, pans, baking trays and dishes, so cooking was made much simpler.
We loved our stay at Worthy Cottage
We loved our stay at Worthy Cottage. It was perfectly positioned to be close to Porlock Weir and the coastal path. The cottage is lovely and very cosy, with everything we needed. Alan was extremely helpful and we felt very welcomed. A lovely peaceful stay, we loved it. Thank you so much.
Horner cottage
Horner cottage
A delightful cottage with a small private garden which was flowering beautifully. Spacious for two people. A roomy bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Very well equipped. Nice area. Very quiet.
I have stayed with this company a number of times. I find it a reliable company and it has been easy to book.
Elthorne, Porlock
Beautiful clean and comfortable house with everything we needed for a lovely holiday. The view and the garden are amazing, although lots of steps and steep drops for our blind dog! We knew this and were prepared though.
The area is great - lots of interesting and useful shops in Porlock and Porlock Weir is lovely to visit. The whole place is very dog friendly. Thoroughly recommend!
Monks Cleave
House comfortable and welcoming
Quiet location only minutes walk from the village centre
Good pubs and excellent tea room (really recommend visiting the tea room)
Lotsof good dog walking in the area
The Cart Shed
The Cart Shed exceeded our expectations. It was incredibly good value. We stayed for 2 nights for a walking break and was looking for a budget break away. The accommodation was much more than that. Yes, it was basic but the hosts had thought of every home comfort to make our stay enjoyable. It was spacious, clean, comfortable and it the most beautiful location. The farm dogs gave us a lovely friendly welcome, Pickles couldn’t wait to curl up at my feet for a cuddle and the hosts were so friendly, making us feel at home instantly. I thoroughly recommend The Cart shed to people like us, away on a budget but still wanting somewhere decent to stay. Although we went as a couple with walking in mind it would also be a perfect base for a young family looking for a great value holiday.

Homer Cottage, Luccombe
Fantastic cottage in a beautiful location. Highly recommend.
Old Post Office Exford
A great stay in the Old Post Office in Exford. A lovely apartment with everything we needed for a few days get away in July. Local amenities near by and easy to get to by foot. Gerry was a great host too . Will be back there for sure
The Old Malthouse, Monksilver
we enjoyed our stay in Monksilver very much.
The accomodation was fine, with room enough for the five of us and we were able to go on many excursions from there and explore Somerset. The place was clean and well equipped.
There is plenty to do and see locally and in Williton nearby there is everything one needs in the way of shops. The local Pub was excellent.
Harbour House Studio, Porlock Weir
The immediate location overlooking the weir with the assortment of boats and the far reaching views right and left to the sea and over the marshes is quite stunning and rare. Porlock weir itself is charming with both pub and Weir hotel - I enjoyed supper there. The cafe (run by the owner of the property) serves a fab breakfast and great cakes.
The studio itself is tiny and charming - it suited my requirements perfectly. The well shuttered windows gave as much privacy or view as wanted.
