Cancelled my paid reservation mid-stay, left me without housing

EDIT: They replied saying THEY relocated me. They refused to cover the difference of a new apartment with their services. The difference was around $500. They said they could not cover that even though it was their fault I landed in a foreign country without accommodation. My reservation STARTED May 21st. I was NOT notified till May 23rd that my reservation was cancelled. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. I was forced to book accommodation on my own at the last minute. Blueground does not care about their customers.

Booked a Blueground apartment in Paris over a month in advance, paying $3,300 in full. On May 23rd — while I was already mid-reservation and boarding a flight to Paris — Blueground notified me my apartment was cancelled due to plumbing issues. I had no ability to respond or arrange alternative housing while in transit.

Arrived in Paris on May 24th as a woman alone in a foreign country with nowhere to stay and had to book an emergency hotel for 2 nights, costing $1,464.81. Blueground refunded my original booking and offered $415 toward the hotel plus $150 for the inconvenience — leaving me roughly $1,050 short on hotel costs alone. The replacement apartment I ended up being forced to book on a different platform costed me $162 more than my original reservation and didn’t have the requirements I needed for my stay.

I understand maintenance issues happen, but cancelling a confirmed, paid, in-progress reservation with zero notice while a guest is traveling — and then only partially covering the resulting costs — left me in a genuinely difficult position in a foreign city. Be cautious if you're relying on Blueground for time-sensitive housing.

Sometimes, when we get an apartment back and start preparing it for the next stay, we discover issues that can take longer than expected to resolve. Rather than offering a unit that is not in the best condition, we try to relocate or refund our guests.

In your case, you chose to be relocated to another unit, and in the meantime, you booked a hotel for the amount mentioned. Since you referenced the amounts, we would like to clarify that your daily rate for the apartment you booked with us was around €89. We more than doubled your daily rate and provided additional support, as we refunded €415 for your hotel stay. This was well above the daily rate you paid us, and on top of that, we added €150 as compensation.

While we understand the inconvenience caused, sometimes circumstances outside of our control occur.

We hope to turn your negative experience into a positive one, especially now that you have already moved into the new apartment.

3 months after checking out I am still…

3 months after checking out I am still trying to get my security deposit refunded. They claim they sent it but have not and their support is not very helpful. Very disgusting!

Blueground was just amazing

I rented an apartment for a 12‑month…

I rented an apartment for a 12‑month period, with the agreement that payment would be made in two advance installments of six months each. I fulfilled this obligation and paid both installments in full.
Shortly after making the second advance payment, I was informed—with only two months’ notice—that Blueground would be exiting the Istanbul market and terminating operations.
Following this notice, I was in contact with the landlord directly and signed an agreement and exited with Blue ground. My advance payment is due from Blue Ground to me. However, despite repeated attempts to contact the company, I have not received the remaining balance of my advance payment. Furthermore, my emails and follow-up requests have gone unanswered. This situation is unacceptable. I have effectively paid for accommodation that was not provided, and I am still owed a significant refund. The lack of communication and failure to return my funds has left me feeling seriously wronged. I request immediate reimbursement of the outstanding balance, along with a clear explanation for the delay. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate it to the relevant consumer protection authorities and pursue legal action. I'm very disappointed with the unethical business of Blue Ground! I didnt expect this company to be like this.

DO NOT TRUST!

DO NOT TRUST!

1) NOT LUXURY! Not worth the prices they are charging. I paid over $6,000 for a 3 month stay in a super-basic shoebox apartment.
You can notice from their website that many of the apartments they are renting look like showroom apartments used to advertise to longer term tenants. The furniture was newish, but poor quality.

2) The apartment building I stayed in had a very strange feeling... there were cleaners always around who would follow you and look over your shoulder.

I generally got a weird feeling from this company from start to finish. I will not be using their service again and I do not recommend them to anyone else.

The first time I stayed at a Blue…

The first time I stayed at a Blue ground property was wonderful. It was a tiny log cabin in the woods. It was beautiful and clean, peaceful. I would love to stay at another property.

I settle in quickly and feel comfortable right away

I've stayed in several Blueground apartments over the years, and I've always had a great experience. Every apartment has been clean, comfortable, thoughtfully furnished, and equipped with everything I needed.
What I appreciate most is that Blueground apartments always feel like home. Even when I stay for several weeks, I settle in quickly and feel comfortable right away. The apartments are well designed, practical, and make everyday living easy.
The check-in process is simple, the instructions are clear, and everything is always well organized. Blueground has become one of my favorite accommodation options when I travel, and I would happily stay with them again.

Cigarette smell

I arrived to the apartment and there was a very strong cigarette smell despite the non-smoking policy.i repeatedly complained to blueground, however I only received an air purifier and a spray, all the cleaning and washing of textile had to be done by me on my own expenses. I repeatedly complained and received a discount on rent, which was at least something to compensate for the very hot, loud and smelly apartment.

Everything was easy

Everything was easy. Moving in procedures went very smoothly. All in good order
The apartment was clean and tidy
Your support before, during and after having moved in has been excellent. Effective, punctual and ready to assist - up until now!
Our only issue is the alarm system. It is not activated and from what i have been informed by your team the owner does not want it activated which i find rather strange !!! It is very easy to activate. All you do is call a security company
