I recently bought a chrome curtain pole, fittings and runners (for the curtain hooks) and was very pleased with my purchase. It's a quality product at what I considered a reasonable price. The person who cut it to size and fitted it for me had no problems with the job.
Delivery was good too. I was told when it would be delivered, it was easy to re-arrange the date and time (as I was going to be out) and it was handed to me at the door (i.e. it wasn't left on the doorstep, as is the case with some couriers).

My items arrived quickly, well packaged and as ordered. I had managed to choose the wrong size for one item and contacted to ask for a replacement. I received an immediate reply with full details of what to do, and the replacement item came within a couple of days. The personal contact is really appreciated.

Decided to buy a curtain pole from this company instead of going to amazon as we prefer to support smaller business where possible, but it hasn't been great. Firstly, tracking info wasn't provided and I had to chase it up. Then, when it arrived we had to decline it as it hadn't been pacakaged well enough and pieces were missing. They sorted that quickly and a new pole was delivered but unfortunately the fixings provided are cheap and the screw provided to fix the ball onto the end is softer than the metal, meaning it won't screw in properly and now the thread has worn off. We can fix it, but something that wasn't the cheapest option we feel should have been better quality. It's turned a 30min job into a much longer one and is just overall a dissapointing experience. Wouldn't use again unfortunately.

Bought replacement finials for two bedroom windows in antique brass. Products were just as described and fitted the pole perfectly. Just what we wanted ! Delivery was fast and efficient with email updates as required. Would not hesitate to use this company again.

I am really pleased with the service from Debbie at this company. Before making an order, she was really helpful in putting together bespoke elements in the bay pole system. The package arrived promptly with useful instructions. At a reasonable price, I found the system to be good value for money.

Great customer care and support from initial enquiry to order. Smooth transaction and then poles delivered within days.

The bay system pole we purchased is of very poor quality. It would not even have held up the flimiest of curtains. Having ordered the “system” we only found when we were going to install it that the most crucial part, the pole joiner, was not included, despite it being clearly referred to on the diagram as crucial to installation. Very poor to have this essential part as an added extra which has to be purchased separately. But aside from that, the quality is very poor. The pole simply sagged when the pole joiner was fitted between the two parts. The brackets are so flimsy too that we are basically just binning the whole thing. Attempts to rectify this were met by rather unhelpful responses which did nothing to improve our poor view of this company.

My review for this company is mixed as there are issues here with the delivery and tracking.

I needed a screw bracket within a week for a rented property so I place an order on a Friday, needing it by the following Friday. Checked the delivery options and have Free 2nd Class (~3-7 days) or Free Courier 72 2kg (~3 days). Clearly the 2nd Class is risky so I choose the Courier 72 2kg. Place order and am told I can track my order on the Hermes website - all good! Get another email on Saturday that it's been dispatched - perfect. However I do not have a tracking code yet!

Fast forward to Wednesday. Still no tracking code. Not desperate, but do want/expect my item on Thurday (4 working days from dispatch), Friday at absolute latest. Spend half an hour going over emails, checking PayPal summary and even creating an account on the website. However website does not retrospectively show orders - so no tracking to be found anywhere!

Finally, I try the chat on the website - no response so am resigned to sending an email for an update. In this respect, there was a positive and I received a response from Debra within 35 minutes. The negative was that my order was not sent by courier but by 2nd Class and on Monday, not Saturday, to boot. Yes, it could arrive on tomorrow, Thurday (4 days), but it might also arrive too late next week.

So pop quiz: Do you put your faith in Royal Mail or re-order the same item again with a next day delivery option? Well with the risk of losing a week's rent, I splash the cash re-order with the priciest delivery option: Courier 24 180 cm. For a mere £9.99 (and duplicate order) my worries are solved! Send a quick message to Debra to check that I'll get the order the next day and everything is sorted.

Thurday comes, and the postman doth treat me with two packages - oh, you do spoil me! Now, yes you would also be annoyed as the original order did arrive on time and you've essentially wasted the cost of an order plus £9.99. However this is not the negative point, after all I was not forced to make another order ...

The annoyance is that again, the delivery service was not what was selected, and in this case paid for. I paid for the £9.99 Courier 24 180cm service but the UK Special Delivery option for £8.49 was used. I've been overcharged £1.50! That is until you look at the packaging: 100g Large Letter Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1PM: £6.85 - that's £3.14. Then you look at the 2nd Class post for the first order, which was free but actually costing £1.55. Obviously that's included in the price so in fact I've paid £4.69 more!

It's at this point I state the cost of the order: £6.99. Yes, I've been overcharged ~67% of the order due to incorrect postage costs and have paid this cost and a double order because the first order was not sent with the originally selected delivery service. Now again, no-one has forced me to buy from this company. But it does *feel* bad.

Overall I am grateful that this company does sell a difficult to find bracket at a reasonable price. I am also grateful that with the second order it did arrive next day, despite overcharging delivery. I don't know if it's normal but from ordering to acceptance at the Post Office was about an hour so top-notch service there! And I cannot fault the communication with Debra. I think for non-urgent order there would be not problem, just pay extra if you need something within a week!

However there are three improvement points. 1: better communciation if the delivery method is going to be different from that chosen by the customer - if I had been told this before shipping, I would have asked for the first order to be sent using a faster method. 2: retrospective viewing of orders if the account is made after the order. 3: better delivery options at checkout - prices should be accurate to what's put in the basket (weight and size, the customer shouldn't have to choose from 17 different options!) and if you are going to use a cheaper method of delivery anyway, remove the more expensive unused options! (For example the location specific options should not be shown if it's not relevant to the shipping address). Fully understand that this requires some backend website wizardry which not everyone can afford but these QoL improvements would be helpful!

Overall: first order 2*, second order 5*: average 3*. Although I will admit it does leave a bitter taste to my mouth and emotionally, I want to give a lower rating!

Brought a recess chrome curtain pole with brackets and rings. The pole was easy to cut to length needed and was very easy to hang up. Very good quality and speedy delivery! Would recommend

Ordered some replacement antique gold curtain rings with rubber inners. Very good price, packed well and arrived within a couple of days. Can now close my curtains quietly!! Very impressed with service and quality of product.

We had 4 28mm curtain poles from a well known retailer. Unfortunately, there were not enough rings for all of the poles, and spares were not available from them. We have tried a few suppliers, but they were either too small or unwilling to slide open or closed.
Although, we had an idea of what we needed, a quick chat confirmed what we needed, and how best to buy the quantity required.
They are now in place, and work better than the ones originally supplied. Delivery was quick and painless. Couldn't have been better service.

Found exactly the curtain pole brackets I needed on the website (amongst a wide selection available) and after clarifying the actual size via a live chat on the website, I placed my order. I received the brackets 2 days later and they are perfect. Good quality, heavy duty. I would recommend this company for any curtain pole related items.

Terrible experience with delivery. No notice provided in advance of deliveries and then charged £20 non-delivery fee.

Shockingly bad customer service!
Make sure you have noting else to do for several weeks after making your order. No notice will be provided as to when to expect your delivery, and no option to put in a safe place /leave with neighbours.
