I wanted to resolve this directly before leaving a review, but unfortunately I’ve had no response whatsoever.

My order (#290686) was delivered to the wrong address, meaning I had to locate and collect it myself. More importantly, I ordered 1 kg of British fillet steak, but what I received looked nothing like the fillet steaks advertised on the website. The pieces were irregularly shaped, poorly trimmed and had visible fat, membrane and connective tissue. In my opinion they did not resemble a premium fillet product.

I emailed customer services on the day of delivery with photographs, followed up the next day, and also emailed the additional addresses Darren has provided in responses to other Trustpilot reviews. I haven’t even received an acknowledgement.

I appreciate that mistakes can happen, but I do expect a response and an opportunity to resolve genuine issues. At the time of writing, I’m still waiting for one.

I would firstly like to say a massive thank you to you and your team for the no hassle and fast response and delivery of our replacement order.
I am utterly in awre of your customer care and work ethics it's a great comfort to know that not only is your meat the best we have had but everyone behind the scenes are 100% on the same hymn sheet.
It was not my intention to ask for or expect a replacement order as the issues with the first one were out of your control and nothing you could do about it. I just wanted to bring to your attention what had happened and unfortunately it was the hottest day ever when it occurred.
I took a big gamble initially ordering from yourselves the first time as I'd never heard of your company before and you were along way away but I'm glad I did , the meat is delicious and tasty and the Christmas turkey and gammon was out of this world.

Keep up the brilliant work and I can't wait to get our next order in.

Awful service. You order and then they don’t have the stock. Shop locally they are incompetent. Never had such poor service I will not be using again

I cannot say my first order was a good experience the whole lot got binned it had melted ice packs do clearly they did nothing to preserve the meat bloody awful alot of wasted money

It was my First order placed, and now await full refund as order completely messed up! Never again

Absoloutly disgusting i ordered meat for delivery today dpd have delivered at 15.40 the meat is stinking the whole box i could smell as I brought it into my house. Absoloutly mortified that is wasted £60 on meat 😡🤬 i can't even feed my dog the dog food i ordered bcps everything is completely off absoloutly disgusting i will never ever ever order again. I have emailed them so im hoping to get my refund other wise I shall be taking it further and I will be making social media aware if I dont recieve my refund. Shocking dont use this company

Another lovely delivery,i can highly recommend this butcher,the meat is top rate,and really fresh,well prepared and packed well,try these lovely butchers,you wont be disappointed,Well done The Fat Butchers.

Had out delivery yesterday. For the second delivery the chicken has turned up smelling awful. The chicken has now gone a green colour and smells even worse. It was delivered by DPD in a normal van during the summer.

Sent several chats on the app and filled out a form on email and no reply. Will not be ordering from them again.

My first order was absolutely spot on. My second one was placed during a heatwave and the delivery was delayed. The meat was spoiled but I didn't know this immediately because I had just opened the box, chucked it in the freezer and gone away. So it was two weeks, once I'd started to defrost some of that packs, before I emailed The Fat Butcher to say the meat wasn't okay to eat. I didn't ask for a refund or replacement, I just fed back my disappointment. Any business owner knows that feedback - even constructive - is important. Without hesitation, Darren replied to say a full replacement was booked in and would be with me next week. Cannot fault the customer service at all. Emails aren't always replied to immediately but a little patience goes a long way when trying to have an issue resolved. Would still highly recommend and order again, even after the hiccup with my order.

I previously received a order which wasn't great ( the ice packs on delivery had melted ) I contacted fat butcher and they dealt with the issue swiftly sending me my order out again .

The steaks that were chosen with our package were horrendous!! Full of fat all the way through. Never ordering again

Sometimes the quality slips but on the whole they’re excellent.
Have been buying from them for a few years now. Have recommended them to friends who too have used them.
Lately my husband has been disappointed with the quality of the sirloin steaks. Very chewie and lots of fat plus gristle. I just gave mine to the dog.
Hopefully they will get back on track. I believe in them!!

Really good value for money, arrived before said time which is very good, I will be buying my meat here from now on, only downside no sea food

After what must have been a frustrating few weeks for them with delivery issues my meat arrived in good order. Good quality and value!!

This is to follow on from my previous review. Darren from the fat butcher said online to Trustpilot that the issue had been sorted. Well it hadn’t I’m yet to receive a refund, he said he’s now done it but given all the broken promises
I’m not hopeful. I’m going to contact my bank today as I paid by card. Please do your homework before buying from THE FAT BUTCHER

I ordered a box of products I waited it to be delivered the day I asked for i sent them a message to see where it was and I got it's delayed so why no curtesy email or text telling me
It makes you wonder if I never emailed them would I have gotten it it came the next day I always check my orders and items missing no note or email saying why so if I didn't check the conning baskets would have gotten £13 98 out of me free i tried to get in touch but email ignored a few days later I got a reply from one of the owners making up excuses about being busy so where was the note in the box or email saying what was missing
How many other people have they done this to and coining in for short shipping customers
Anyway I got an apology I wanted what was missing but got i will get a refund I wanted the items not a refund
SO PLEASE EVERYONE STAY CLEAR OF THIS SUBSTANDARD MEAT AN A SUBSTANDARD COMPANY WHO ONLY CONS ITS CUSTOMERS WITH LITTLE REMORSE OR NONE AT ALL SO IN FUTURE I WILL BE BUYING FROM MUSCLE FOOD ANOTHER PROFESSIONAL COMPANY WHO I HAVE BOUGHT FROM THE PAST AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFFF WERE FRIENDLY AND SO SO HELPFUL UNLIKE THE UNPROFESSIONAL FATBUTCHER SUBSTANDARD MEAT COMPANY

Terrible…meat delivered not fit for human consumption at temperature was too high 14.9! No response from Fat Butcher at all! Stay away people

Meat was inedible, smell was terrible. Steak black around the edges, mince sour unedible, would not buy again or recommend to anyone
