Worst breakfast ever

Good location, very nice rooms, nice staff, totally sub standard service at the restaurant. The breakfast was the worst I have had in years. Eggs and soldiers… the eggs were hard boiled. The spoon was absent and then I was given a silver teaspoon spoon. No butter knife. Ham and cheese platter consisting of two slices of ham and two slices of cheese ( the square one used for cheap toasts) slammed on a plate.
The slowest service ever !

Disappointed with mesl

Whilst the ambiance, decor etc. and quality of wines was 5 star I was very disappointed with my meal. I have eaten there several times in the past . My meal last night was so heavily seasoned I found it inedible- so much salt it made my tongue and roof of my mouth burn. I did send it back and was not charged. However , what was a special evening with a close friend was spoilt.

Goring afternoon tea

We came for afternoon tea on a Sunday before Christmas. The Veranda was quite busy but we sat for nearly 40 minutes before we were approached by anyone. It was over an hour before we were fully served. The sandwiches were very sparsely filled. Considering that the bill for 2 people was over £200, overall an underwhelming experience.

I have been to the Goring many times, the Afternoon Tea is a NO GO

I have been to the Goring many times, the bfast, cocktails summer evenings always a lovely experience. But the Afternoon Tea was a total FAIL.

This last weekend we went for the afternoon tea with another couple who were visiting and Thankfully it was not the only thing we planned while they were in London.

The Service to start was absolutely horrid, the tea sandwiches they came they dropped it off and that was it, I had to ask twice for tea refill.... The actual sandwiches left something to be desired and when we asked for more sandwiches it took me twice to ask to get them. The filling was bland, one of the WORST Goring experiences ever and for £70/each to be treated so badly it was just appauling.

If you're interested in a proper and complete experience please go to the Ritz they have never disappointed. The service is ALWAYS top of the game in every experience, from the moment you walk in to the moment you check out. I cannot say that for the Goring after today. It was a total embarrassment infront of my friends and business associates.

The only reason I am.giving it 2 it is because the Doormen are always Fab!

Just the best hotel experience

What a fantastic experience. The room, the service, the food, everything. Relaxed, comfortable but highly professional service, its the tiny details that shine through.

Excellent & perfect and busy finding a reason to return as soon as possible. Brilliant!

By far the best hotel in all of Great…

By far the best hotel in all of Great Britain. 5 star service. 5 star accomodations. 5 star dining. This is a legit historic hotel and is true to its origins. You won't find tacky modern junk art or poor mans loft style architecture. Stay here and experience true luxury and refinement.
