Too expensive for shat it is

This gym is not taken care of at all. Rusted machines, ceiling falling on people, showers not working, toilets filthy, and the air barely ventilated (the smell is moving your nostrils).

entrance blocked to flexi stretch class

Went to attend a flexi stretch class at lunch time on a wednesday, instructor had put a no entry sign in front of the entrance to the room for the class, i arrived over 20 mins early but sign was not removed to allow entry to people attending this class! Also, tap water was flowing onto gym floor, no one came to mop it up.

ZERO customer services

Ive been a member of this Gym twice now and I should have learnt from my experience the last time .
I recently needed to have a Hernia operation , so I tried to contact someone at the Gym to freeze my membership for a month . ( The gym has a facility that the members are offered this with their membership ) As there were no contact details of my local Gym , I did it on line and requested that my membership be frozen from Feb 14th to March 14th .
A couple of weeks ago ,in the middle of April , my friend and I went to the Gym. I had hoped to be back sooner but there was a longer recovery time than I had initial been told .
When we got to the Gym , he got straight through with his PIN number but mine wasnt accepted , as there was no one I could speak to at the Gym, I had no choice but to go home .
I checked the details on my Freezr period and they had frozen my membership from the 7th of APRIL to the 6th of MAY !!! Nothing like the time period I requested !!!!!
It is almost impossible to discus any problems with anyone at the Gym group , there are no phone numbers on their website and google search doesnt have any contact details either .
The gym itself isnt too bad as its open 24 hours but they have absolutely ZERO customer services . Basically youre screwed if you need to contact them directly .
I will be looking to go to another Gym.

Not even had chance to visit due to inactive pin

Signed up a week ago and still haven’t been able to use the gym due to my pin being inactive until the gym manager emails me to arrange my first visit, I have used gyms plenty in the past , I know my way around , there should be an option to waiver this when you sign up, I have tried the online support only to get stuck in AI generated replies saying my query has been answered and closed , when you click for more support it goes through the same loop, my app states if I have had no contact in 3 working days to use there support which ….. loops me in AI replies, even accounting for the bank holiday weekend I should of had something by now , no contact number or email service for a 24 hour gym that won’t let you visit until they contact you, I have tried calling customer support and after being on hold for 10 minutes the phone was cut off, live chat is AI generated replies that repeats itself and asks if it has been helpful. I just want to use the service I have paid for !

The worst customer service ever

The worst customer service ever. Overcharged me for 2 months straight. I switched to an off peak membership at the Battersea gym and should have only been charged £23.99 but they kept charging me £37.99 for 2 months straight. I called the customer service today which is outsourced to a 3rd party and the guy who I spoke to Jamie was not very helpful.

When I asked him to give me something in writing that I will only be charged £23.99 from next month, he asked me to get that from the management at the Battersea gym. Why should I call the billing support customer service team if they can’t do this for me?

When I asked him to refund the extra money that I was overcharged, I was told that it can’t be refunded and only be deducted from the next months payment. What kind of logic is that? What company refuses the customers right to get a refund when they clearly admit that they’ve overcharged the customer?

Good gym

Good gym, spacious, decent equipment, but could be a bit more modernised, in terms of machines.
but so much better since the referb.

1 huge negative is the very shady group of youths that hang about outside.
And once in, they vape and make a mess of the locker rooms, also they can be seen going through people's belongings.

Ideally there probably should be a female only section, just to make it a bit more comfortable for females that don't want to be stared at or feel a certain way.

Unsafe

I’m sharing this because of a recent incident where two young men stole my wallet at this establishment. When I reported it to the staff, they were completely unhelpful and clearly had no procedure for handling theft.
A business should have basic protocols to assist customers in these moments so they aren't forced to take risks to get their property back. I’d suggest being very careful with your belongings here, as you're on your own if something goes wrong.

After 10 pm there are no staff

After 10 pm there are no staff, that has left weirdos acting weird, Off late there are two boys acting weird around girls. They both are loud too. There should be some sort of cover / check weirdos like these. Atleast sign board regarding behaviours.
Note : this comment is from a parent who uses this gym accompanied by daughter.

Mediocre Gym Needs Improvement

It is an ok gym, the staff are quite friendly and helpful and lots of new classes starting up.

Some of the men can be bullies and both me and my daughter experienced someone telling us they were using equipment which was free to use. The person who approached me was using two
pieces of equipment at the same time and seemed to think he had the right to do so, however, a guy came along later but he said nothing to him. I later asked why he said nothing to the other guy who started using the same piece of equipment moments later but he claimed he was now finished….

My daughter mentioned her situation to a male staff member but he offered an option where she should resolve it, but said nothing about the other man’s bad attitude.

Another annoying thing is men skipping with no regard for the safety of others. The staff let these men do as they please.

I am not sure I want to renew my yearly membership unless things improve.

Worst Gym In London!!!!

Worst Gym In London!!!!! Highly NOT Recommended…… Their staff is really unprofessional, first instance my hoodie was stolen from the locker room and when i complained they just laughed about it.

After few days the member of staff have thrown away my tshirts and when i complained they just did sarcasm about it!!!!

They have alot of faulty equipment which can cause serious damage to your health, better save your money and time, find another gym as i have been here last 5 months and all i had really shit experience than a local gyms in neighbourhood!!!

Long-standing member — ignored and dismissed

I have been a member at The Gym Group Watford on and off since the gym opened. Over the years I have seen a steady decline in how members are treated, and have watched people leave permanently because of it.
The Thursday 10:30 AM class was recently cancelled with no prior notice or member consultation. A group of us regular attendees wrote a formal email to the branch manager requesting reconsideration — we received no reply whatsoever, and the class was cancelled anyway.
I then escalated to head office, who responded by simply redirecting me back to the same branch management that had already ignored us. This is not a resolution.
Cancelling classes without consulting members has become a pattern at this branch. Loyal, long-standing members deserve better than to be ignored and passed around. I genuinely hope head office takes this seriously, because the Watford branch is losing good members who have been there from the beginning.

I was physically threatened when I was…

I was physically threatened when I was entering the gym by two customers. I told the member of staff who was literally metres away and he did precisely nothing. I then told the manager and he did nothing - indeed he actually laughed. I hear he is supposed to manage another gym. lordy lol

What a joke this company is

What a joke this company is. Despite having a decent gym. Their terms and conditions are annoying. If you wish to cancel your subscription you need to cancel your direct debit 5 days before. Once you cancelled your direct debit. You lose access to gym immediately despite having a week access left lol. Until, you call customer support. The guy there will tell you this in the most condescending tone like it's universal truth. When the fact is it's silly. Never have I heard this nonsense anywhere outside the UK.

The punching bag still hasn't been…

The punching bag still hasn't been replaced, so I spoke to the gym staff about it, and their response was that it's the second one they've replaced and supposedly there's no money for another. That's what I gathered 😬. It's unbelievable that a gym in the center of Edinburgh on Princes Street doesn't have the money to replace it. I don't believe it, do you?
