The resume service is awful, sent me a resume I'd be embarrased to use. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and they blocked me from the job seach membership I purchased. This company is... See more

Very professional and thorough
Barbara dela Paz - Very professional and thorough in helping me with a question. Responses were quick and I didn’t get lost in the many many emails Barbara gets.
They use your email to SPAM you
They use your email to SPAM you. I have 100% evidence since I used a personalized crafted email on their site and now I am bombarded with SCAMS and SPAM emails every day.
Helped and Happy
I was helped and my issue was handled immediately and fixed all while being respectful and nice.
Time saver job searches while working full time
Huge time saver! Instead of re-entering your entire resume every single time you apply to a job on a new employer's website, The Ladders Chrome extension does it for you. I use it will LinkedIn for jobs that are not EasyApply. I just open a new window, click the Ladders Apply4Me button in Chrome, and the next day I have an email confirming my application was received. It is very helpful if you are looking for a job while working full-time or have a lot of experience.

prompt action from Ladders' customer associate
was rightfully reminded by email of a pending Premium subscription renewal and the associated rebate was very quickly processed/confirmed after I made the payment
Melanie: Great customer service
Melanie Madrona went the extra mile to ensure that my application was accurate and complete. I appreciate her prompt and thorough service.
TERRIBLE COMPANY
Hands down worst company I have ever had the displeasure of working for. They promised working with only Fortune 500 companies and the majority of my leads were people who were non existent, left the company, or were just fake numbers altogether. They laid off their entire work staff without any warning and left about 30 people high and dry. Terrible management, terrible owner, terrible product. Don’t ever spend your money with The Ladders, they are a scam company and their founder Marc Cenedella is a snake oil salesman. I repeat NEVER spend your money with this company.
No relevant positions, and a lot of spam.
The Ladders takes your resume information, but is more interested in getting you to sign up for premium membership (and scraping your contacts) than finding any relevant open positions. From a week on this site, not one relevant position came up, and I received a number of spam emails from shady (pay to play) recruiting services. Stick to LinkedIn!
Just a search engine for jobs
Just a search engine for jobs. Nothing special. No special treatment, even with Premium. Not even a bite. Got more from LinkedIn free edition than paying for this crap show.
Very unprofessional - Owner has child like rettaliation tendencies
Very unprofessional - The owner, Marc Cenedella, was CC'd on every email I had with his other company, leet resumes, due to the initial delay that he had caused. I had to reach back out to them several times to see if my resume was started to being worked on after a while.. It wasn't being worked on... it was delayed because I didn't include enough bullet points (they asked for 12 bullets in personal emails but the survey on the website upon signing up only requested 3-6) so some serious discrepancies in their workflow.. Not sure how this caused my resume to be delayed by a large amount of time but it did, After i started cc'ing the owner on the emails, it took probably 15-20 different email communications across more than TWO WEEKS to get them all the information they "required". Marc sometimes took two or three days to respond to one email I sent, I often had to CC the leet resume builders team as well to get the ball rolling internally.
He kept harping on the fact that I didn't have a word document .docx version of my current resume. I only had a PDF.. This is the reason I was coming to him in the first place! To get a resume built! lol! My pdf resume was not copy, pastable so he refused to work with me. My linkedin has all the same information as my resume + a LOT more. So I copy pasted all the info from my linkedin and sent it to him(also provided the direct, publicly viewable link for my linkedin). He simply responded that he doesn't work with "linkedin data" LMAO it's literally the same thing as a word doc. They could've copy and pasted my linked in data directly into the new resume in the same amount of time it would have been to copy and paste from a .docx into. He also said he would've had to train his employee's on how to use linkedin. LOL WHAT?! your employee's don't know the basic functions of a computer? Click link > open's webpage > copy sections of data > paste into word processor or pdf maker... LOL They can't do that? did you hire a bunch of apes or first graders because I'm pretty sure opening a web page and copying text was one of the FIRST things I learned on a computer. What a bs excuse. I'm pretty sure marc put me off due to some personal reasons, which really speaks to the child like nature of how he interacts with other humans. Grow up man.
I had previously pointed out some technical bugs across two of marc's business's websites. I believe this may have been a factor in why i was treated so lamely by him and his company. Not really sure how attempting to help out two companies you want to do business with, improve their process's and websites would result in the owner treating one like second tiered garbage(I had intentions of paying for both services he provides as well).
I guess some people will never grow up. Leet resumes and his other company ladders was a good idea but unfortunately it lacks the proper leadership. Proceed with these services at your own risk!
I personally wouldn't trust the integrity of any responses Marc may reply to my public review with. People get crafty sometimes when they're left with public, negative reviews 👍
What a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a joke, Please do not fall for this companies fake promises and products. I have never seen this much fraud. I assume it is about time for Ladders CEO to start up another company. First upstart, then the ladders, what should be next is the OUCH. That is the feeling we have received for the amount of wasted time on this site. APPLY4ME is a complete joke, a scam of the highest proportion. I only found this out because they sent me several letters saying they my applications needed something else. I went into to adjust them only to find out that a very large majority of the information was never submitted to the employer. GEE, wonder why I have sent 50 resumes and haven't received even one response. This company then has called me each and everyday now that I dug through the red tape to find the cancel of my auto renew. Man are they interested in helping me now, well interested in helping me click it back on. They keep the money low enough that no one will sue them for what they tried in the past which was 649++++ That made enough people go after them. The only way to have them shut down is a class action lawsuit but then they will just file BK and arise like a phoenix again as some new company looking to fleece you. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS I AM SURE IT WILL BE SOMETHING NEW BY THE END OF THE YEAR. I only wish I had checked out reviews before giving these crooks my credit card number for one month. To the CEO of this company I challenge you to find one person a job this week, just one but I am sure you are to busy fleecing the next unexpecting sucker. WOW. If you give these people your money than consider it a donation. Good LUCK!!!
Salary projections on posts are higher…
Salary projections on posts are higher than realistic benchmarks you get on other sites. The Apply4Me feature can return worse results and progress notes than blind applying on other job sites like Indeed. They prioritize keeping you on auto-renew over actually expediting results, and even after paying for subscription the experience is clunky. The website is also not designed to search for remote-only roles well.
Their resume templates seem good, they do have a decent network of people at target companies you can outreach, and the posts are fairly relevant provided you are only seeking 1 kind of job. The recommendation settings are not friendly to job seekers with multiple role searches.
Fraud/ Scam
Almost every job that The Ladders recommends me as a "remote" job is in reality for a very specific location in the US or even abroad! Today, after applying to three of the jobs they recommended me, and which clearly stated "remote" on their website, I realized that the real job descriptions (the ones on the companies' websites) indicated that these positions were for San Francisco CA, Lafayette LO and Valencia Spain (I live on the East Coast).
This is the literal definition of fraud.
The word "remote" did not exist in any of those job descriptions, which means that The Ladders intentionally misrepresented the locations of those jobs so users will think that they have a lot of opportunities.
Again, this is the literal definition of Consumer Fraud, which is why I have requested a full refund and I am in process of filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.
As for the "Apply for Me" feature that they have introduced and which another user was praising, is actually a very lame tool. It literally saves you 3 minutes per application. Why? Because this tool does not work with those horrendous career websites that make the user fill out every previous job, every previous school (including the GPA) and which take at least 30 minutes each. No. If you have recently looked for a job, you might have noticed that more and more companies provide very fast applications. They only ask for your contact information, they ask you to attach your resume, check two checkboxes and you're done. This literally takes 3-4 minutes per application, therefore you do not get any benefit that's worth paying for.
Anyway, that was just my take on the Apply for Me feature, since it seems nice (and it might be for you, if you want to save 2 minutes), but the bottom line is that the job postings are fake. Check the location of the job on the company's website (or, even better, move away from The Ladders entirely). Failing to do that will lose you a lot more time than the Apply for Me button will save you and, much worse, it will give you a false sense of hope. 6 months later you will wonder why no one called you. Because you applied for a job 1,000 miles away from your location.
Scam Sesen Bio
OMG this is a scam place. Jobs are old and got contacted by Sesen Bio and turned out to be a scam. They wanted my bank and address etc. Super unethical. The person who contacted, Mark R. Sullivan, actually is a dead man from up north. Wasted my time for 2 days and thank God for intuition. Lately companies take your resume and add you to a database for mailing and it turns out to be either scams, entry level positions or sales.
Total waste of my time!!!
