The resume service is awful, sent me a resume I'd be embarrased to use. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and they blocked me from the job seach membership I purchased. This company is... See more

Upgrade nag emails m
They continuously send you "Upgrade nag emails" whereas there are many other websites that offer you to apply free for job openings.
Think Before You Pay
A respectable amount of ads but the majority of the jobs do not exist. Most seem to be recruiters shopping for perspective jobs that they do not have commitments to fill.
Calling "The Ladders" is not much better they seem to open only limited hours and they never returned my calls.
My advice save your money, and use the free aspect with several grains of salt.
Avoid interacting at all cost.
I second the comments/reviews left before. I didn't even sign up to their newsletter, my personal data was sold by their sister/partner company in Europe (experteer.com).
Avoid interacting at all cost (unless you get stuck in their impossible to unsubscribe from newsletter!!!!!)
Shady business..
Never subscribe for the newsletter + Impossible to unsubscribe.
Moreover, shady business..
Crook or not crook that is the question?
I had a skype call with the London office today. This company appears to me not transparent at all.
first there are hiding the camera for a skype call;
second my contact point does not appear on social network as linkedin
third I am not sure that the jobs opening are existing as they are making a confusion on the first and second jobs positions I have been proposed
fourth I asked for contact reference that were pleased with the paid service ,they give me one witch does not match in terme of salary with what I proposed ,when I asked more contact reference compliant with the time of jobs they proposed I got no answer.
Fifth they ask an upfront fee for the applicant without any professional work done
in conclusion and this is my own opinion, their business model is based on naive applicant that are seeking for a job and not on professional services

Malicious Spammers
Not only are they just a regular, run-of-the-mill job posting site, they're emailing policies are outrageously invasive. Apparently, they found several different email addresses for me and subscribed each of them to all of their lists. I have contacted them multiple times to have my names removed and I have actually succeeded ... Twice. Unfortunately, this morning they showed up in my inbox again and this time there is no way for me to unsubscribe.
Clicking the unsubscribe button takes you to a page that forces you to log in. But, since I don't have an account I cannot unsubscribe. I have reported them to spam-at-uce.gov. Please do the same.
Not sure any of these jobs exist
Not sure any of these jobs exist. If you sign up and enter all your information you will begin to immediately receive unwanted job offers to "sell from home:" or "unlimited earning potential". These trolls seem to be the only ones using the site to find candidates.
This is my second time paying for it and I had hoped it was better. All the jobs on there you can find for free.
Someone opened an account in my name …
Someone opened an account in my name with all my info. Not sure but may have been an internal job. Be careful. Like I said, this may or may not be a legitimate company. Read all reviews.
These people are complete idiots
These people are complete idiots! I have unsubscribed at least a dozen times and am still getting their emails!
So called jobs do not appear to exist
So called jobs do not appear to exist. Well all the ones I checked out were not confirmed by the employers.
Looking at these reviews I'd say there is still doubt as to the value and honestyvof this job site.
This is a waste of money
This is a waste of money. Irrelevant listings. Recruiters apparently download your resume and never contact you. Reaching customer service is impossible. Don't waste your time, money, or effort on this.
I wouldn't waste my money on this service again
Quality of search and job postings are very bad, waste of money!
The Ladders is a scam site
Red flags all over the place on The Ladders job postings. I first became aware of The Ladders from a posting on Glassdoor for a position at a company that I had previous applied, interviewed and was not chosen. The posting showed it was 3 days old. Caught my eye because it was worded exactly the same as originally posted 6 months prior. I thought, wow, maybe the chosen candidate did not work out and they started a new search. Once I applied on The Ladders,I was then requested to pay $99 to join as a member. Since I knew employees at the hiring company, I double checked the status of the position. No issues, the new hire was working out great. The Ladders is just a bait and switch company that reposts third party jobs in order to get desperate job seekers to pay for what seems to be a leg up on the competition.
Nice site , Haven't gotten resuts though
I think the Ladders has a well organized site and that it gives good information about jobs. I have had no response from any of the jobs that I applied to that I got from The Ladders, so I feel ambivilant.
Plenty of Opportunity
Knowing what YOU'RE looking for is the single most important thing. It took me 4 months to wade through a career full of "additional duties as assigned" to figure out what I wanted. The additional resources really helped.
Free Is A Waste of Inbox Space
Rarely can you access any of the postings that show up in your alert. Be prepared to pay for service to even get beyond the job title. I'm not willing to pay for a service I can't verify ahead of time. How about a free 30-day experience?
Great site's consumer interface makes applying for jobs easier
Great site's consumer interface makes applying for jobs easier and keeps you informed of recruiters and / or companies interaction with your documents be it your profile on the site and / or the job application documents.
The only (big) negative is that in all the years I have applied to jobs via The Ladders I have never gotten hired by anyone.
Helpful as a job aggregator, difficult for little else unless you are in IT or Finance
Job aggregator from other sites, with some additional listings from recruiters thrown in. Difficult to justify spending $ to be a premium member over the long-term unless you are in a role constantly sought out by executive recruiters. Wish site had more customizable search functions, right now limited by broad categories that often result in large # of search results with irrelevant positions.
Good site but job matches could be better.
The Ladders articles and resume advice are excellent. Job matches could be better. The "Industries" selector under job preferences doesn't remember my choices. I also get jobs for Java positions and the word "Java" does not appear anywhere in my resume. How about a skill selector to list skills?
Valued Online Job Search Service
TheLadders is a valued online job search service. The search tools make setting open position alerts easy. Applying for positions is straight forward and efficient. The submission status tracking feature is helpful in monitoring review progress. A great overall service.
