Horrible Hosting Company

I've had servers from them for about a year now, and I'm planning on moving. I've got a number of grievances.

First off, their shared hosting setup is pathetic. I set up a DNS system to forward a domain (mc.example.com) to the IP, (for example 74.24.334.41:25968 -- that is just made up, fyi), and it looks like they set up a "dedicated" server on the same node because every so often, the domain resolves to a server on the default port instead of my own server. This happens at least once or twice a week and persists for a few hours.

The second issue is how they handle resource usage. Because they want to cram as many servers as they can onto a single node, the close servers that are inactive to make room. It's rather frustrating when your 24/7 server closes at 3am because no one is online when you are *PAYING* for a service advertised as being 24/7.

The third issue is the support team. Good god, they are bad. Very frequently, when I've had issues, I've submitted tickets. Anything related to technical issues either takes days to be answered, or, sometimes, the ticket is just closed before an answer is given. Closing a ticket after leaving it unanswered for five days sends a very negative message. Also, touching on my second issue, I asked them about the server stopping the first few times it happened and the response was, essentially, "it's online now." To which I replied, "Yeah, because I turned it on. But if you look at the logs, you will see that the server randomly turned off at 4am without shutdown notification being written to the logger by Multicraft, which means the server was shut down from outside of the panel." On top of that, a lot of the responses I've received felt emotionless or even argumentative. Also, the support staff names are never shown, so in the ticket log, there is my name and then "Support Agent." It often feels like I'm talking to a robot rather than an actual human.

PLEASE READ THIS ONE!
My fourth issue, and this is by far the WORST, has been hosting nodes being deleted at random. This has happened twice. The panel will go down, and after a week it remains inaccessible. The first time, I sent them a ticket after a month of waiting, the second time after a week, to be told that the node either had an error or was deleted, and that they would create me a server on a different node. First off, there was no warning of this--I, therefore, could not back up the files and lost hundreds of hours of building and configuration work. Second, they didn't set up a new server until I explicitly asked about the outage. This means, if you don't ask them about it, you may never get a server back up and running. Third, they gave no compensation for the downtime. The first time around, I lost a month of time, and they would not give me any sort of extension on renewal, meaning I paid them money for absolutely nothing. The second time was a week or two, but still no compensation.

My fifth grievance spans several other problems including them setting up so many servers on a node that they run out of ram on the system, causing my server to be unable to start, and running out of storage space, causing my server to be unable to save its data.

In short, it is a crappy service. If you want a server that is stable, stays online, isn't randomly deleted, and has a support team that gives a crap, look elsewhere.

UPDATE: It is now November 15th, nearly two months since I made my review. I wanted to give a little update the second server I had be deleted. After they finally recreated the node, the server wouldn't start, saying that the network port was occupied. I did some investigation and found that on the IP I was given, there is a dedicated server running using the default port, and my server is attempting to use the same port. I reached out to support and got a response in Spanish for some reason, though luckily I do speak Spanish. And the response asked, "Is it okay if we delete your server's files?" Obviously I don't want that, nor is that in any way a solution to the problem. So I have, at this point, been unable to use my server for about three months. And I'm still waiting for them to fix the issue.

I would love to give them a 0 star review.

Thescammerhosting - The only thing you will get here is a headache, DO NOT RENT HERE.

Okay, i rent a server for a month and after a few hours i realize that i had few problems with some files, i went to open a ticket like a normal person would, i explain the problem in detail and i told them if the problem couldn't be fixed then i want a refund because they said it's 24h for refunds (i open the ticket like 2-3hours after renting the server) i wait to the next day for an answer, over 3 days without an answer and they closed my ticket, since i realize they are not willing to fix my issue or respond my tickets because they never did and close it btw, i went ahead and open another ticket just asking for the refund, at this point i realize they were thieves, now that i open a ticket called "REFUND" they answer right away, no delay, no waiting, they just answer in less than a day LOL but when they have to fix issues related to their services they won't answer, they only answer when you ask your own money back, the person now responding my REFUND ticket was blaming me for opening a second ticket when in the first place they never answer and closed the first ticket i open and now they will just give me any excuse to avoid giving me my money back, they said i open the ticket after the 24h hours but they are looking at the time and date of the second ticket (refund ticket) i had to open because they never answer the first one, they refuse to accept responsability that they never answer my first ticket which was inside their policy of 24h for refund, i send them pictures of that ticket and gave them the ticket number many times so they can see it on their own system but they won't do it, literally one of my worst experience in hosting services EVER, i don't recommend this company unless you want to get scam.

Experience

Great server stability. Easy to use with files. Support is a bit wonky but they will help!
Pricing is not so expensive so that's a plus point.
