Bought the little cone things to go in…
Bought the little cone things to go in the ceiling void. Great solution to an otherwise stupid design for a smoke alarm which does not have space for connections and thus requires a hole in the ceiling (and thus the fire barrier!) directly above it. Arrived quickly, easy to fit. All good.
