None receipt of rug. Took money no customer service whatsoever. Do not use

I ordered three matching rugs from this company, however, when they came the rugs were all different sizes and slightly different colours. It took many attempts to get the Customer Services to reply.
However, when I sent them the exact measurements of the rugs which are all very close to each other (by patio doors) which look ridiculous as they are so obviously different sizes - Rug 1 148cm x 99cm
Rug 2 148cm x 102cm Rug 3 153cm x 100cm
I had a reply from Customer Services "As stated in our Terms & Conditions, "Handmade and machine made rug sizes may vary by up to +/-5%.", the dimensions received do fall within this allowance". Also, no mention of the slightly different colours. Do not use this company if you expect to receive exactly the same rugs as you will be disappointed!! and they use this +/- 5% allowance as a cop out!!

Please be wary of using tis company
They seem to be of the opinion that if a rug develops a fault after a few months its wear and tear not a manufacturing fault as it wasn't present at the time of delivery.
These faults can become apparent whilst in use despite doing everything correct when using a rug also.
A warranty appears to be useless with this company, decisions are made on a photo, you are not allowed to complain or escalate never received such rude patronising emails before.
Explanations given of how rug was cared for but amazingly they make their own assumptions of how you have used your hoover even but this cant possibly be a manufacturers fault due to not happening on delivery or as soon as the rug was in place, rules are made up as they respond.
They don’t appear to conform to the T&C's of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 regarding an item being unfit for purpose.
Do you buy a decent rug to expect to be replacing it after 10 months ?
I have read previous reviews and wish I had prior to purchasing !
You can’t make assumptions of how people have cared for things or be rude.
I will liaise with trading standards as they are involved in other cases re this.
Please be aware if purchasing.

Ordered a rug. Was told delivery would be in 3 to 10 days. Received a dispatch notice with no tracking number. Heard nothing after that. Contacted The Rug Seller and they said it would dispatched in several weeks. All in all not a good experience.

I bought a Katherine Carnaby rug and it arrived in just 2 days.
The rug is absolutely perfect and the service from The Rug Seller from start to finish was first class.
I would highly recommend this company as they do exactly what they promise which is a rarety when buying online goods.

I bought one rug from this company years ago. I am still getting two spam emails a day from them. Trying to block on Google is useless, trying to block the email is useless. I emailed their sales team - took two weeks to respond to say they will take my email off the list. Still getting spam. Really wish I'd never given them my email; if you use the company make one up and then delete it!
Edit in response: I did contact sales. Took 2 weeks and a chase up to get them to respond, so far ineffectually. Surely you pay for Google advertising...pretty sure Google doesn't do it from the goodness of their corporate heart!

I really thought about buying from the the rug seller after reading some of the reviews but i can say that everything was perfect, the rug was as described and was shipped immediately.Great in that respect!

What was annoying and was part of the reason i bought form them was the Quidco cashback which made it cheaper that it's competitor's and then they declined it!

It's a bit of a cheap shot and has left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth and because of this i probably wouldn't buy from them again, maybe don't offer cashback if you don't want to pay it!

I ordered some Sanderson wallpaper, it was a great price and came quickly will definitely use this service again

Went to purchase a rug that was on sale, but saw that I had a discount code which would give me a further discount and which could be used on everything on their website.
I could not see the discount code box on their website, so I emailed them.
I received a reply the following morning stating they had removed the discount code box whilst their sale was going on. I thanked them for their reply and went online to purchase the rug.
They had put the rug up by over £100 over night.
I contacted them and explained the situation and asked if they would honour the price I was going to pay the day before, whilst waiting for a reply to my email.

This was the reply I received…

We have been advised the general sale period ended last night.
We are now only offering discount on items which are physically in stock within our warehouse as part of a clearance sale.
Therefore the prices now advertised on our website, are the best prices we can offer for our items.

Yet they sent me an email today, after the alleged sale had ended last night, telling me “Don’t miss out! You’ve left something in your basket”, at the price I was going to pay originally.

So did it or didn’t it end last night???

What awful customer service!

I ordered a rug on a 2/3 day delivery to be fair more or less right away they told me it was out of stock and best delivery late October - 10/12 weeks I had three options I choose the third which was cancellation / refund ( 16th August ) I was told moneys returned 3-5 working days that time has elapsed no funds - customer services seem on the ball - may have to go through credit card company 🙁🙁

I found the rug I wanted on the Asiatic site then looked online for a supplier. The Rug Seller offered the best price by a long way. The rug arrived quickly, well packaged and in good condition. It looks great. Many thanks

Beware!

Essentially these people are fraudulently trading.

The item I ordered was posted on their website as dispatch within 1-2 working days.

3 weeks later I have received nothing other than stories about the item "coming into their warehouse."

Their website still lists the item with a dispatch of 1-2 working days so the are knowingly and willingly taking people money for goods they know they are unable to supply. Fraud!

Sometimes putting things right when they don’t go well defines how good a company really is. We’ve bought many rugs from them before - this time an identical model to replace a worn one. When I reacted against an uncertain delivery date, Leonie in Customer Services reacted swiftly and the rug arrived the next day, and an excellent rug it is too.

I ordered a rug on 22/07/24
Still no rug has arrived. Sent 3 emails and I phone call, where you have to leave a message and someone will reply, still no response to any of it. Very quick to take your money customer service is terrible.
Have no idea if I will receive this order ?!?! Disgusting.

Have liaised with Citizen's Advice who have confirmed this is indeed in breach of the CRA 2015.

I don't give a flying one what you confirm. I told you when the rug was bought and why there was a delay in laying it. It was out of the plastic 2 months due to a delay with our building works before the binding on one of the ends started coming apart and unravelling.
Passing the buck and using every excuse known to man in order to not have to honour any kind of warranty seems to be a habit of yours judging by reviews and feedback left elsewhere on various social media sites from MANY disgruntled customers.
Blocking people on social media who voice their dissatisfaction is never a good thing either. Just adds fuel to the fire.
Like I said TS can handle this.
Companies like you need to be held to account.

If I could put zero stars I would. Delivery time advertised as 1-2 days. Didn’t hear anything from them so chased them on this to be told there is technical issues between them and the warehouse. Asked for a refund to be told they are not able to do this at present due to technical issues. They have no idea when this issue will be corrected. So I am left out of pocket until who knows when! I have passed to my credit card to dispute.

Very good quality mats,this is my second one of them.
Delivery is good as well.
I only get the indoor/outdoor mats as I have pets and find them really easy to clean and manage and they still look nice

I have bought three rugs from this store. Lots of choice, great prices,came well within delivery time, packaged well.. and beautiful quality.. I will be buying another shortly ( if I could make my mind up which one to buy) 😊
