Really positive experience with TSH
Really positive experience with The Small Home. I had to exchange some emails (with Anna) regarding my order and the communications were timely, friendly and helpful. The rug and candle I bought are both beautiful.

Wonderful bag and fast delivery
Not only is the bag absolutely beautiful but it arrived very quickly. It’s a great size to throw everything in but not so big it flaps around. The finish is perfect and the colours are distinct but subtle. Very happy!

Beautiful Grey and Purple slippers. Soooo cosy. Not for wearing outside as just a soft leather sole. Great purchase. I love that I don't leave tread marks on the carpets now.

These were my only birthday present and they didn’t fit. I’m normally a 5.5 and my boyfriend bought a 6. They were more like a size 4. I paid to exchange them to a 7. But they’re still too small. I didn’t want to pay again for an exchange so now they are gathering dust as too painful to wear.
On their website they say to opt for the next size up but It’s ridiculous to ask your customers to do such a thing, especially when you don’t offer free exchanges. Just change your sizing.

Thanks for your feedback. I can see that this review posted in March 2023, relates to a purchase made in May 2022.
Our returns & exchanges period is 30 days. We would have been happy to help had you been in touch within this period. However, even allowing for the flexibility of goodwill, raising an issue 10 months after purchase is too long a gap to resolve this. I do hope you understand.
You also say your slippers are too painful to wear. As our slippers comprise of softest sheepskin uppers and firm leather soles, which quickly soften with wear, I am not sure to suggest what could be causing pain.
We are sorry you have had trouble with the slipper sizing and have noted all your feedback on this. Thank you for taking the time to share it with us.

I am a repeat customer and always an amazing experience! Absolutely adore my new leather slipper addition, already had a shearling pair and now wen for a pink and gold number with stars and they are just stunning! Will go wonderfully with a pair of jeans in spring and summer as for now using them indoors. Wonderful bath mat too, all very well made and if a high quality. Again, a pair of slippers I had for years are still going!

Moccasin slippers
Moccasin slippers. Took ages to arrive and lack of sturdy sole meant I returned. Which as well as postage I also had to pay for. Two weeks since I returned them and not even acknowledged receipt and neither have they replied to my emails querying the lack of acknowledgment.
Have learned a lesson, will never go near this brand again. The pictures online are beautiful but the customer experience is ugly.

We can’t acknowledge the return of items until they have been processed by our fulfilment centre.
As you don’t say who you are, I can’t track your return to give you an update. If you want to get in touch at info@thesmallhome.co.uk or even better, via DM on Instagram, with your tracking number we can find out the status of your returned slippers.
To address your other point, a moccasin, by definition, is a soft leather slipper without a separate heel. The soles of our slippers are made from unprocessed leather which is long-lasting and firm, but is not a sturdy sole like a rubber sole for example. I am sorry you were unaware of this. The design of our moccasins and details about our soles, plus images of them, can all be found on our website.
