Great company

My whole experience of Think Green was positive, from the initial consultation with Mike to completion of the work. Everything was done to a high and professional standard and I am very pleased with the result. I also feel safer in my home. Thank you Think Green, I would happily recommend you

Jonathan from GTP - what a great guy

Jonathan the guy that came to give us advice on our existing solar system which has been failing us was a very personable, knowledgeable young man. Most of all he wasn’t pushy. He showed my husband all around the system pointing out failings which all pointed to a poorly installed system in the first place. We were under no pressure to make a quick decision but we have decided on a care package, new wiring and new batteries, we were very happy with the company. Jonathan came on Wednesday and they are here today fitting it all.

Trapped

Did not realise that T.G.P.are only middle men, who send out other companies to do the work! They sent someone to me who had travelled from far too far away. He was a really nice guy, but did not fully understand my system which I had specifically asked for help with. I'm now trapped in a contract with T.G.P. for 5 years.

We are sorry to hear that you feel this way, however some of the information within your review is inaccurate.

T.G.P. does not operate as “middle men” and we work directly with qualified engineers and specialists to provide support and services to our customers. We also aim to ensure that all technicians attending are suitable for the systems they are attending to.

We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your concerns directly and clarify the information mentioned in your review. Please contact us so we can look into this further with you.

In light of this, we kindly ask that you either remove or amend your review to reflect the correct information.

Marc, the sales guy was very thorough with both the system survey and information relating to its day to day usage. We have now signed up for the comprehensive 10 year cover plan which included a yearly service and clean. Obviously, we currently have no experience of how efficiently problems are resolved, but, for now we do feel confident that we made the right decision with the purchase and using THINK GREEN PARTNERS.

Better than average by a good distance

This is definitely a much better company than the usual Solar company. We had some issues after the installation but they responded so quickly and sorted out the problem all the fitters were polite and good and special mention to Luke head of installation who responded so quickly and efficiently good company I would recommend

The installation was seamless. The team worked quickly but carefully, and they left everything clean and tidy afterwards. You wouldn’t even know they’d been apart from the great new system!

We’re sorry to see this review, but we strongly refute these claims.

We have been an established and reputable business for almost a decade, providing services to many satisfied customers over that time. We take accusations like this very seriously, and we have no record of any genuine customer experience that matches what you’ve described.

If you believe this review has been left in error or you would like to discuss a legitimate concern, we would encourage you to contact us directly so we can investigate further.

Aggressive and deeply unprofessional sales behaviour after cancellation

We were initially contacted by the marketing team at Think Green Partners and offered a “free assessment” of our solar panels. After some persuasion, we agreed to a survey, which was carried out by their engineer, John Henderson.
During the visit, we were sold a 10-year maintenance plan for £4,000. As we did not have the funds available to make a one-off payment, John then assisted us in applying for an interest-free credit card in order to pay for it. We were also told that our inverter was broken and were offered a “free” inverter replacement if we signed up to the 10-year plan.
After taking time to think about it and doing some research, we decided we were not comfortable proceeding and exercised our right to cancel. We contacted the company by both email and phone to cancel the plan.
We were told that John would call us to explain the next steps.
What happened next was absolutely unacceptable.
When John phoned, he initially seemed unsure why he was even calling. Once I explained that we had changed our minds and cancelled the plan, his entire attitude changed. The conversation quickly became pushy, confrontational, and deeply inappropriate.

For around 20 minutes, instead of simply accepting our cancellation professionally, he repeatedly questioned our decision and demanded to know what we were going to do about our broken inverter and cleaning/protecting the panels. I explained that we had our own plans in place, but he would not let it go.
He then went so far as to start making personal comments about my son, questioning whether he was qualified or insured to help us, and even *googled my son’s workplace during the call in an attempt to “prove” his point. This was completely outrageous, intrusive, and none of his business whatsoever.

Even after I clearly told him that:

* our family arrangements were none of his concern
* his assumptions were inappropriate
* his tone was becoming unpleasant and unprofessional
* and that he needed to accept that customers are allowed to change their minds
…he continued.
He then tried to pressure us again by offering a **5-year plan for £2,000**, while claiming he was “not being nasty” but was “very offended.”
Let me be clear:
A customer cancelling a service does not justify being spoken to in a pushy, berating, defensive, and frankly intimidating manner.
By the end of the call, I felt extremely shaken, angry, and upset. I had to hang up because he simply would not stop.
This experience has completely destroyed any trust or respect I had for both John Henderson and Think Green Partners. What began as a professional interaction turned into one of the most uncomfortable and aggressive sales follow-up calls I have ever experienced.
My advice to others:
Be extremely cautious.
If you decide to cancel, do not expect that decision to be respected professionally.
This felt less like customer service and more like harassment after cancellation.
No customer should be made to feel pressured, interrogated, or personally criticised for exercising their right to change their mind.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to think very carefully before signing anything.
Absolutely unacceptable customer service.

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We take all customer concerns seriously and would like to address several points raised in your review.

Firstly, we want to be clear that our intention is always to provide customers with accurate information about their solar systems and offer solutions where issues are identified. During the assessment, our engineer highlighted concerns regarding your inverter based on his professional judgement, and any recommendations made were intended to prevent future system inefficiencies or failures.

Regarding the maintenance plan, this was offered as an optional service designed to provide long-term protection and support. The pricing and terms were explained at the time, and the decision to proceed — including the method of payment — was made with your agreement. At no point is any customer obligated to move forward, and we do respect the right to cancel within the appropriate period.

We do acknowledge your decision to cancel and confirm that this was processed. However, it is not unusual for a member of our team to follow up to ensure customers fully understand the implications of cancelling a service, particularly where potential system faults have been identified. This is part of our duty of care, not an attempt to cause distress.

That said, we do not condone any communication that could be perceived as personal, intrusive, or unprofessional. While we have not found evidence that the situation unfolded exactly as described, we will be addressing this internally to ensure all conversations remain appropriate and focused on customer needs.

We are sorry to hear that you felt uncomfortable during the call, as this was not our intention. Our team is trained to provide guidance and explore alternatives where appropriate, which may include discussing revised options such as shorter-term plans.

We remain confident in the quality of our services and the integrity of our team, but we will take your feedback on board as part of our ongoing efforts to improve. Should you wish to discuss this matter further, we are happy to review your case directly.

Kind regards,

Think Green Partners

I’ve been trying to be a customer of…

I’ve been trying to be a customer of TGP for about two months now. Had a call about fitting pigeon protection to my solar panels, had the engineer out, expected a quote. Nothing. Asked for a call back, nothing, left voicemails, nothing. Got a quote on the phone, asked for it to be emailed. Nothing. Promised an email by the end of the day. Nothing. It shouldn’t be this hard to give someone your business.

Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback, and I’m really sorry to hear about your experience. You’re absolutely right — it shouldn’t be difficult to get a quote or a follow-up when you’re ready to move forward, and it’s clear we’ve fallen short here.

We apologise for the lack of communication after your engineer visit and for the missed promises regarding the quote and follow-up calls. That’s not the level of service we aim to provide, and we understand how frustrating this must have been after two months of trying to progress things.

We’d really like the opportunity to look into what happened and get this resolved for you properly. Please could you contact us at contactus@thinkgreenpartners.co.uk / 0800 292 2929 with your name, postcode, and the date of your appointment so we can answer your enquiry and make sure you receive the information you were promised.

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and we hope we can still put things right.

Kind regards,

Each year they come to service my system, they persuade me to spend money, this year I had optimizers fitted as I was told my system had high voltage, last year I paid what I thought was more than necessary, and again this year, I am not an electrician so I am having to trust that I am not being sold something I don't really need. When I purchased the batteries, I was given a 10 year guarantee. ! I cannot afford to keep paying out money every year

Hi,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you feel this way following your recent service visits.

We understand that it can be frustrating to feel unsure about recommended work, especially when you’re relying on our expertise to guide you. Our engineers aim to identify anything that could affect the safety, performance, or longevity of your solar system, and any recommendations — such as fitting optimisers — should always be explained clearly so you can make an informed decision before proceeding.

We also want to clarify that the yearly service check is included as part of the ongoing maintenance plan you have with us. This annual service is carried out to ensure your system continues to operate safely and efficiently.

We never want customers to feel pressured into spending money on work they’re not comfortable with. Your comments about cost and communication are important, and we’d really appreciate the opportunity to review your service history and the advice that was given during your visits.

Regarding your battery warranty, we’d also be happy to check the details of your guarantee and clarify what is and isn’t covered so you have complete peace of mind.

Please feel free to contact our team at contactus@thinkgreenpartners.co.uk / 0800 292 2929 with your name and postcode so we can look into this for you and discuss your concerns properly.

Kind regards,
