Hi,
I found TGP online after searching as they are local and had a good rating. Along with 3 other Solar providers who came to my home and explained the costs, what I would be getting, how it works, what's covered, the process, the install, after care, customer service etc I picked TGP.
Overall the best option. The reason being because I was going to add a loft extension in 4 months time (installed in 2022) and I wanted to add as many panels to the converted loft roof, run cables in the wall etc. The second stage was to run cables after the kitchen extension was complete (installed in 2023). The soalr panels on the kitchen extension roof was the last part to be installed along with the inverter and battery (was recently installed out May 2024). Having the ability to come out in stages really helped. They even saved me costs by utilising my existing scaffolding and gave me a referral fee due to 2 other recommendations.
It can be quite daunting and almost going into the unknown with solar panels, but TGP broke down exactly how it works, giving real world figures and setting expectations. They helped with the payments and breaking them down into stages of work completed.
They always respond to my calls and whether its questions, support or something else.
Thanks to Hardeep, Liam, John, Charlie and Kayden.
I was stuck. My air source heat pump had a fault.
I had not got around to taking out a maintenance contract.
After numerous phone calls to heating engineers, none were willing to do the work unless I took out a contract with them.
On calling think T G P, they too wanted me to have a contract with them and sent a representative that day, Jeevan, a very pleasant, none pushy person.
When we realised we had missed him, by a few minutes, he was contacted, and headed back to us, although it was late on a Friday, and he had a long journey ahead of him. To me, that is service.
With a very agreeable contract, signed TGP got to work locating the faulty part, which was shown as a code on the operating screen.
I had located a company that sent me a replacement part but, when it was installed through TGP, it too was faulty. I contacted the company that had sent me the faulty replacement par. I was told they could not supply me with another replacement for another month, due to being out of stock.
I informed Preet, who is a member of the customer service team, and the person who I communicated with. I was told to leave it with her and she would try other suppliers. They too seemed to be out of stock or unhelpful. The customer service team worked hard behind the sense on my behalf. I know this because somehow TGP got a company to speed things along, and a replacement part suddenly arrived. Two days later the part was installed and working.
My many thanks to TGP.

The comment about double glazing tactics re equipment dropping by £2,000 after a few phone calls is what happened with my 87yo mother. They called it “staff discount” cost price to them was about £800, mum ‘bought’ it for £2,500! Persuaded mum she needed hybrid inverter to replace the “fire risk” old inverter. Of course they had to persuade to buy the hybrid inverter so that it worked with the batteries they were determined to sell her! The Lux Software they provide is just a minefield! No information about how to get the most efficiency from the very expensive equipment. HIES trading body, are toothless to try and remedy our complaints. Purely a tick box exercise for compliance calls.
AVOID!

Delighted to report a great improvement to the service provided by TGP. Excellent response from the office and good service from the field operative. Special thanks to Preeta and Eden. I will continue to use TGP for the upkeep of my solar energy setup.
Monitoring system is great. Knew that a problem had arisen with the units and an appointment was arranged quickly, work was then completed within 30 minutes when they came

I was 'cold called' about my solar panels. Jake the engineer came on 23 March 2024 and was very polite and gave me a price for a new inverter and a price for insurance. He phoned the office and suddenly the price dropped by £2000. I signed the contract and paid the deposit. At that stage I said it was like double glazing used to be with the price dropping when they phoned the office. Over night I had second thoughts and the following day notified Think Green Partners that I was cancelling the contract. The contract says deposits are refunded within 14 days. I've waited 14 days and still had no refund. I've now been told it's 14 working days, not 14 days. I will wait and trust I will be refunded and suggested that paperwork that customers receive state '14 working days'.
Update. On the 13th working day I was contacted to say I was refunded. It took a couple of days for Visa to process but I have been refunded as promised.
I have since been contacted by Think Green Energy asking me to remove this review as 'it's factually incorrect'. I cancelled on 23 March & was refunded on 12 April.
During all of this I was initially very impressed with how I was spoken to, but in later phonecalls I had someone talking constantly, not letting me speak and had them shout at me amongst other things that they were 'a 26 year old woman'. Not sure how that's relevant and I didn't need to know that. They then hung up on me.

When our inverter packed in, this was when we contacted TGP to see if they could help which was great and very helpful. The downside is that we ended up spending the same amount and more for that than the old system cost, so the chances of breaking even are practically 0, but at least the system is working now. Could not use the original "company" as they are not operating now.

My experience with think green partners was a bit stressful on my part,my inverter was showing a fault so I rang customer service and spoke to a nice young lady who was asking about my system, I'm no good at technology so I haven't a clue what the components are, so she asked me to take pictures and send them through WhatsApp, again I am not familiar about putting a new number on WhatsApp but tried and ended up with a local electrician replying to me, I assumed who was working for think green but he wasn't, don't ask me how that happened but he resolved the issue, it cost me£30 but I'm just glad my system is up and running again. Thank you for your patience customer service. Thank you for your generosity

Presentation was professional and informative. Communication to arrange Installation was prompt. Technicians were excellent: courteous, tidy, patient, communicative, skilled. What impressed the most about both technicians was their teamwork when needing to decide on an alternative location for the charger and batteries. The planned location close to the inverter in the loft was too small. They consulted us about alternatives and, without drama, resolved the problem and proceeded with the install with minimum disruption. As the public facing front of Think Green Partners, the consultant and both technicians should be commended for the quality of their work and their excellent interpersonal skills.

TGP's rep, Amar, was extremely helpful and courteous. The battery was fitted the next day. At our age, we shall probably not see the full benefit of the battery, we hope that we are doing a little bit to resist climate change.
One small complaint - although outside TGP's control - is the App they recommend for monitoring the function of the battery. It gets only 2 stars (as confirmed by other users) although monitoring on the PC is simple.

I didn’t have to remember when to get my LG heat pump serviced. The company rang me and booked in a service the next day. The engineer, Josh, arrived bang on time and gave the system a thorough checkout. His full written report is to be emailed to me very soon but basically everything was in working order.

After upgrading our system, with both inverter and added battery, we had a problem with the supplying company's software and Preet patiently teased out the problem, resulting our being able to engage properly with new equipment

Have been with TGP for some time and always found them on the ball. Appointments always kept on time, work done efficiently and cheerfully, and follow ups always completed There are many cowboys offering solar services, these are the good guys!

The technician, Nick, was polite and very helpful. He dealt with a not very helpful Solax help desk in a very patient and professional way so that eventually the problem was resolved.

This review is about the service, not the product. The door to door sales rep sold my olderly parents a battery for £4,000.00 and installed it the next day. Their Winter quarter electricity bill was £230, which is extremely cheap so imagine how cheap their annual bill is. They will never see the profit from this product as the repayments cost more than the energy bill. We tried to cancel and explain but they said as the product had been fitted, they would not refund.
