Absolutely disappointed
Very disappointing "terms & conditions". I was travelling for the month of May so I put my membership on freeze but I was still charged the full monthly fee. They explained that it was because I didn't cancel before the 26th of the previous month. Doesn't matter.
Later, I need to cancel because I was moving out of Canary wharf and thought that the extra money i paid for could be used to pay for the 1 month notice required.
BUT NO. "Any fees paid prior to a freeze taking place cannot be used to cancel the membership".
So I am only left with the option of continuing the membership for JUNE & JULY. Which I absolutely have no use of and I have to pay until my membership terminates.
Very tricky & disappointing tbh, reconsider before you sign up with them.
Edit: in response to ALL replies from Thirdspace
I will greatly appreciate that your response team actually took the time to read my review accurately. I am not complaining about freeze fee. I have been charged FULL membership fee of £180 despite already freezing the membership for the month! Jesus

Signed up today - thanks Ross!
Signed up to join today, amazing experience of joining with Ross.
He was patient, honest and built up trust with me from the phone call and through the entire time spent on site today.
People buy from people, and Ross is definitely a huge part of the reason I happily signed up today feeling comfortable in my decision, which he gave me ample space to make.

Be wary: frozen memberships vs cancellations - unavoidable charges
After being a member for several years, I opted to freeze my membership due to the pandemic and because I was having a baby. Unfortunately returning to the gym was not feasible given my change in circumstances, so I gave more than one month’s notice to cancel my (frozen) membership, more than one month before my account was to be unfrozen. However a small note in the contract requires one to have an active membership to cancel. And an active membership unavoidably requires a minimum payment of one month of membership.
Per Eleanor from the retention team, I’m being required to pay a full month’s membership, despite giving a clear month's notice and having no intention to use the service. This hardly seems a fair policy.
So if you’re thinking about freezing your membership, and you’re not sure if you’ll return, just cancel it instead and save yourself the trouble and confusion later on.
My husband and I shall try out the other gyms in Canary Wharf when we are in a position to do so. We’ll give Third Space a miss in the mean time.
1st rate gym- it's as simple as that
1st rate gym- it's as simple as that.
Yes, the prices are premium. BUT. the place is immaculate. Equipment rarely breaks. Rarely do I queue. Gym staff are friendly and helpful as are the reception team and cafe and housekeeping staff. Sandor Toth (now a PT) conducted my re-programme after lockdown which was brilliant for refocusing my training and giving me a space to progress in strength and fitness. The class instructors are also exemplary. I would pay the membership price purely for yoga. I do a treble class every Saturday, booking is simple and orderly via an app. David's classes are worth the membership alone and my practice has advanced immeasurably. Suzan Altay is also brilliant, as is Liz Higginbottom. The instructors at Third Space truly *care* and it shows. Yes, it's spenny. But I believe in the marketplace it holds it's place as a premium brand.

CW Thirdspace is the best gym in the UK
I’ve been a member of Thirdspace since the CW branch was Reebok. I must say, today while using the shower area I was sitting and waiting for my face mask to dry and to pass time I ended up watching the housekeeper cleaning the showers. This housekeeper really went above and beyond with the cleaning. I was just amazed at how she thoroughly cleaned each cubicle covering every square inch of the shower area. Really scrubbing it down. This is no exaggeration. I felt rest assured that the showers are the cleanest in the country. People complain about the price but that level of cleanliness is part of the value for money you receive. Although the price goes up but so does the service and facilities. The shower area is a massive space and a lot of work goes into keeping them thoroughly clean at all times. Well done to all the staff in all areas of the gym for keeping the space clean to a high standard and to management for employing the best people providing a more than 5 star service. Thank you! I wish everyone working at CW thirdspace a very happy new year and I will continue to highly recommend and use this gym for years to come.

Very expensive
Very expensive . You don’t need to pay 175 pounds a month for a gym . Much cheaper gyms have the same equipments ,and for someone like me who doesn’t swim , third space doesn’t add much.

Lovely gym with fantastic facilities
Lovely gym with fantastic facilities.
Only complaint is that in the Canary Wharf gym there is no deodorant in the men’s changing room. It is provided in the City and Tower Bridge gyms so seems a bit strange.

Yoga Classes third class for first class prices
i am afraid management has a poor understanding of yoga. variety is poor and teachers second class. there are so many great yoga teachers in London and they don’t work for Third space but for the price i am paying they should be. In addition so they minimise their cost they have the most of the time same yoga teach doing 3 classes back to back so you don’t have a choice to be with the teacher you might like - hence i cancelled my membership. Don’t join if you are serious about yoga or actually want to learn - you don’t learn anything here.
