Let me start by saying the food is amazing, I was very skeptical but I love it! Here is the big but, it’s a week long food program and the food expires on Thursday?! I’m trying to figure out how to order so I have food all week. Plus, I would like to change things on my order and I’ve had difficulty in doing so.

The meals have been really good and fresh. I love that they collect the used bags and ice packs on the next delivery.

I’ve been using Thistle for over a year and it has made eating healthy so much easier. With working full time and caregiving for elderly parents, I have little time to cook like I use to and little time to care for myself. Things had to change.
Thistle has helped me achieve at least part of that goal. I like their salads. Yes, sometime it gets a little old but if I skip for a week or two, I miss the access to easy healthy eating. Sometimes I supplement the meals with my own protein (nuts, seeds, shrimp, sardines etc)
I truly appreciate the accommodation to my peanut allergy although I do miss their pad thai meal a lot
Desserts are good. Dinner meals are good as long as they don’t involve non-Asian pasta.
I’m not a juice or breakfast person so can’t comment on them.
I’ve recommended them to friends. However, they got tired of the salads so I may be an anomaly.

I love that Thistle's food is actually all GOOD for you - real vegetables, real proteins, and tasty and not-too-sweet sauces (trying to avoid all the sneaky sugar!). Even the desserts feel like a big step above anything else I might eat as a treat - and they are delicious. I often add some extra protein to my mains, but at least they've done all of the rest of the chopping and cooking for me. When we're too busy and tired to cook, I can at least feel good about what we're putting in our bodies.
Just wish there was an alternative to the plastic containers...

I am so glad I decided to go with this subscription. I have tried several others, but the quality, freshness, and taste of these meals is superb! Every time I have a meal I feel I am doing something great for my body. The ingredients are fresh and the flavor combinations are innovative and delicious! I also appreciate that they reuse the delivery bags. I am so pleased and will continue with Thistle.

I just started the plan this week. The food was fresh and delicious, far exceeding my expectations. The portions are filling but just right and not excessive. Although I am not dieting, I would guess that this plan would be very good for those interested in dieting for weight loss. The delivery was as promised. I would highly recommend this service!

I stayed at Thistle Bloomsbury and it was a great stay with a lovely fresh breakfast. It got off to a good start with the reception staff member, Genevieve, welcoming us with a smile and a chat. Yes she went through the information and gave us our keys but it always makes a difference. Once in our room we had two beds, a sofa and a comfortable chair. Vitally, the fan was working as it was super hot outside. Breakfast staff were equally helpful with lots of choices from berries and yogurt to a full English. Our day got off to a great start. Thank you.

There is much to love and a few dislikes, but overall I'm happy with Thistle. Pros: unlike other greenwashed meal kits, Thistle is ALL organic (at least I think LOL), reasonably priced (I was ordering kits from Green Chef for same cost per person, but still had to do the cooking and some prep and only veggies were organic, Green Chef charges extra for organic meat which wasn't always an option, their tofu, seasonings/sauces and other items like tortillas were always conventional, yuck, that's why I switched to Thistle), I feel great that they reuse ice packs and bags, meals generally taste great

Cons: I don't order every week because eventually the meals do start tasting the same, they use Rice Bran oil (better than vegetable oil or soybean but not nearly as good as avocado or olive oil), their website is not super easy to navigate, delivery times change at the last minute (but I understand it's tricky to make fresh food and have local deliveries on an exact schedule when I live over an hour away with lots of traffic between me and their kitchen), many times the amount of sauce/dressing is not enough

I really love the pink sauerkraut and the cilantro seasoning as well as dressings. I also love the teriyaki and sesame seasoning and dressings. Another favorite is the chai seed morning smoothies they help with energy and digestion

The food is good and much more interesting than if Iattempted to make food with lots of greens. I like that it is courier delivered.

Thistle serves up great healthy food in a super easy process. You get to pick/customize your meals and then schedule 1-2 deliveries a week. I love that they take back the bags and ice to re-use, so while there’s some plastic not like some of the other food meal services i’ve tried that feel extra wasteful. The pad thai is my favorite! Only reason 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish options changed more, I find I get tired of the choices after about a month. But, then you can easily skip a few deliveries or change # of what you order and come back when you’re ready.

So far so good, I've liked 6 out of 8 meals. I do wish they had more choices though, I didn't order an entire week because I wasn't thrilled with the menu.

At first, I was very excited to try Thistle. In general, very satisfied with the convenience and delivery. The meals have ranged from a solid 3/5 to 5/5. However, I've noticed a general decline in the variety and quality of
meals over time. This may be due to changing seasonal menu or change of regulations, but at this point every week is largely the same and not particularly inspiring. Owing to the lack of variety, I'm finding it very difficult to make my selection worth the price and I don't think I will continue my service for much longer.

I love the twice a week delivery. I love the healthy, nutritious food. It saves me money by keeping me from wasting cash at the supermarket. They could upgrade to better insulated delivery bags with better ice packs. If thistle didn’t deliver to my house at 2am, there would be much more spoilage. Cook unity has much higher quality of both. I also HATE THE PLASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COMPOSTABLE PACKAGING PLEASE?!? I could go buy Trader Joe’s salads with the same plastic for HALF the cost. The meal selections are somewhat repetitive and the selection doesn’t compare to other companies like Cook Unity or Factor. Hoping Thistle eventually goes 100% Organic to avoid pesticide residue but only time will tell. All in All this is a great company with great customer service. The meals are what they say and they help me eat vegan and healthy 5 days a week. The weekends are my guilty pleasure. Thanks Thistle! 😘

I’ve always had great service with Thistle, the food is very tasty and quite healthy. I like their delivery schedule and if you need to travel, it’s pretty easy to pause or shut off right from the website.

I LOVE Thistle!! So very much. They are fantastic in taste, service, and customer care. I even order their food for retreat! FIVE STAR!

I love Thistle for the healthy meals they deliver. They are just the right size, not too big but enough to keep you full. I know that I get more vegetables through them than I would eat on my own. And they are so delicious, more than any other service I have tried. Another big plus is that there is so little waste. Delivery bags are returned for reuse. All the boxes can be washed for recycling. Now that some of their meals have meat, I would recommend them to anyone. Give them a try!

I love Thistle. Life has been insanely busy lately so I started buying thistle to make my days easier. The food has been delicious! It’s always fresh, the ingredients are great quality. Delivery has been smooth too, usually I just do Monday deliveries but I’ve had a few on Thursdays as well. I have zero complaints.

One of the best decisions I have made for myself. The diversity of nutrition and quality of food is exceptional. Delivery is predictable and accurate. And the subscription is extremely flexible. Absolutely no notes! I am planning to move to southwest Colorado soon, and I am just hoping Thistle will expand their coverage area so I can take this habit with me.
