I love Thistle!
The food is great! Everything tastes so good and the flavors are so interesting, not your typical prepared food. Everything has been fresh and high quality and I always look forward to my Thistle meals. It’s super convenient and I love not having to prepare and shop for delicious meals. I do wish the meals were lower in calories. I have to give up on the yummy snacks because they are just too calorically expensive. I try to keep my meals close to 500 cals and that is difficult to do even with substituting dressings. I would love to see more lower calorie/higher protein options.

Thistle meals are designed to provide complete and balanced nutrition. Our average breakfasts contain 300-400 calories, while lunches and dinners range, on average from 400-600 calories. This number is slightly customizable though, should you choose to leave off some of the dressing or toppings that are cupped separately from the meal. Thistle does not provide different sized meals at this time; our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. In regards to weight loss - while our meals are not designed specifically with the intention to promote weight loss, many customers find this as a natural occurrence due to the high protein and high fiber nature of our products. In combination with the healthy fats in Thistle meals, protein and fiber rich ingredients (think beans, nuts/seeds, leafy greens etc) help keep our customers full without breaking the calorie bank. Our meals are crafted to leave you satisfied while effortlessly consuming a more moderate amount of calories.

Delicious, Healthy, and No-prep…love it
Thistle has delicious food first of all. The fact that it’s healthy and doesn’t require any shopping, preparation, or cooking on my part has been a huge bonus. I was spending so much money on other food delivery companies that Using Thistle is saving me money. I love it. My partner keeps trying to steal my food. I keep telling him to buy his own. Ha ha. Everything I’ve tried (lunches and dinners) have been amazing. The red curry was my favorite.

All of the convenience aside, Thistle's menu is fresh and delicious! I am an absolute fan of their smoothies, their salads are creative and tasty, and their dinners are hearty and scrumptious. Top that with extremely healthy, reasonably priced, and you have a winner :)

Positive and Negatives
I love the variety of options within each meal and the ability to customize. The food is delicious and super easy to prepare. I don’t find myself feeling unsatisfied or seeking food outside of the Thistle meals.
I’ve had a lot of issues with missing meals and snacks. I’ve been using Thistle for about 3 weeks and I don’t think there has been 1 week where I didn’t have at least one item left out of my delivery. My most recent delivery was missing SEVEN meals.
I can understand one or two missing items per week, but missing seven meals, for me, are days worth of missing food. I am strictly sticking to food provided by Thistle only, so with this much food missing, it’s very inconvenient for me to replace whole days of food when I wasn’t anticipating having to do so.
The customer service is very responsive, apologetic and helpful, but it seems like the issue lies within the distribution centers. There’s a lot of improvement to be had here.

I like thistle a lot but ……
I like thistle a lot . There are three reasons I might not continue . 1 - all the plastic. I feel awful throwing so much plastic out. 2. I can’t take spinach with every salad . Having too much spinach is something I react too. If you have choose of greens that would work. 3. I’ve had items missing from my first order and I think my last order.

We want to ensure that these containers would meet our strict Quality Assurance (QA) standards prior to incorporating them into regular deliveries, and make sure there's a high return rate.
We are pursuing parallel paths — (1) shorter term, making our current containers more sustainable by ensuring they are comprised of 100% recycled material/no virgin plastic; we’ve been working with a few vendors and actually just sent out 100% PCR containers to customers as part of a larger scale test recently; and (2) we’re continuing to work with our partner Dispatch Goods on reusable containers: we are expecting to receive their new reusable containers very soon for internal testing, and are excited to see how these perform and scale testing pending those results.

We’ve been getting food for multiple…
We’ve been getting food for multiple weeks now and overall the food is really good. It gets a little repetitive; every pasta has pesto, and it seems like the main vegetable ingredient in most dishes is always spinach. Changing those two things up would be cool.

Convenient and healthy but bland
I love the convenience and the health. It’s making life as a brand new breastfeeding mom much easier. I don’t love how subdued and at times outright bland the food is. More flavor please!!! I know you’re trying to appeal to the masses, but can I opt to add an extra spice packet or extra sauce?

Great option for plant based meals
I love the meal options, variety and the fact that they are 100% plant based meals. The ease of not having to worry about grocery shopping, meal prep, figuring out what to make for lunch/dinner or any clean up after cooking really makes the price worthwhile. The only negative aspect would be the use of certain foods within the meals that are often used and in abundance. It would be nice to have the option to remove those foods. Also, would be nice to get a reminder to customize each delivery before a certain date for the following weeks meals.
Overall, I'm enjoying my experience with Thistle.

Well though the meals taste great
Well though the meals taste great, I am a little confused on your menu that I receive each week that is not what I’m getting. I feel like everything looks the same and I don’t know lunch from dinner. I feel like there’s not a lot of breakfast variety in my menu box and it doesn’t match up when I get my menu for the week.

The food you offer is definitely…
The food you offer is definitely delicious and fresh. Unfortunately, most orders have been missing at least one item. Sometimes I get an email ahead of time, but sometimes I do not and have to reach out. The only thing you can offer back is a credit which forces me to continue utilizing the service. Then the next week I am missing another item and get another credit. In order to cancel, I will have to “eat” the money for the items I did not receive.
Also, though your snacks are healthy some of very rich and decadent and very high in calories. Therefore it is difficult to have these snacks if you are a person who is looking to lose weight or to make sure you are getting appropriate nutrition such as protein.

Helpful and good but…
Hi! Loving how easy thistle is for dinners and lunches. Giving me extra time for my busy schedule. I also thought most meals were 500-700 calories but lately reading the ingredients and they have been equalling closer to 700-800. If I could give advice personally I would like some lunches that are not salads (more grain/Buddha bowls? Maybe? Other ideas?) I also am 90% sure I got food poisoning from this weeks edamame salad, right after eating I was nauseous for a few hours and had food poisoning things happen (ick!) I know vegetables are often at EColi risk, wondering if anyone else got sick this week on a bad batch of veggies?

I subscribed to Thistle a month ago and I have been thoroughly impressed! I chose the vegan option and the food is delicious! I don’t get bored because there is enough variety to keep me looking forward to what’s next.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent delivery experience. I received a text message notifying me that the order had been delivered, but I never received a call on the intercom to let the courier inside. I was unable to locate the package anywhere in the building or its surroundings.
It's very frustrating because this is not the first time I have encountered issues with your delivery service. I previously reported a similar incident where the driver failed to buzz in and left the package unattended outside my building. Regrettably, I never received a response regarding that complaint. It seems that a similar situation may have occurred this time, assuming the delivery was made at all, although there is no evidence to support this claim. The provided photo only shows the front of my building and does not reveal the actual placement of the food bag.
Given these circumstances, I kindly request a refund for this undelivered order. I am deeply dissatisfied with the level of customer service I have received, and I would like to cancel my account immediately due to the consistent lack of response and recurring delivery issues.

Thistle is a godsend! The billing pages need a little tweaking
Honestly I love Thistle SO MUCH. It's saving me a LOT of time and energy while I am still reconstructing my life post-pandemic.... It's sad to think so many of us are still picking up the pieces after so much time but it's the truth. This service has been a godsend and is WELL WORTH the money.
The only negative thing is that my orders are still getting messed up... Firstly, the delivery person at least TWICE has not rang the doorbell when dropping off.... I work at night and am not awake at the dropoff time of 5am-8am... For that reason I made a point to put in the delivery notes PLEASE RING THE DOORBELL..... I can't hear a knock at the door the way my apartment is built. So when they don't ring the bell, my expensive groceries are left out in the Vegas heat until I wake up!!
Also, I get occasional items I didn't order. I don't think I paid extra, but.. it's also kind of hard to decipher between the "upcoming" page, the "my orders" page.... I always have trouble figuring out exactly what I paid for when there's errors that way.
In general I tell all my friends about this company because I love it so much. Lots of great food options, the ability to pick and choose based on my food preferences. I particularly love the peace of mind knowing that everything I order from this company is based on whole foods and almost no preservatives or fried crap. What I eat is crucial for my job so this makes my life a lot easier. Maybe consider an app or email notification to remind people the order cutoff so they can make changes before it's too late?

The food has been delicious, but delivery has been inconsistent.
The food has been delicious! I’ve had some delivery issues. Most recently, my bag was delivered into my neighbor’s backyard and my return bags were not taken. So I’m developing a collection!
I’ve also had times where I’ll get an email that my order will not be complete due to a production issue. I wish that they would substitute a meal if that happens as opposed to simply adding a credit to my account, because I’ve already meal prepped the week and was counting on what I ordered!

Food is most often great, unique and i feel good just eating it, good or bad. i am currently conflicted by the prices. i would rather have one delivery than two as i'm away. garlic seems to be in everything which i do not favor.

I love the food...but delivery is bad
I love the food. Very flavorful and I imagine it would be fresh if it was ever delivered on time. Company guarantees delivery by 8pm on Thursday. Not once in my 6 weeks has that happened. It always comes on Friday and by then the ice packs are defrosted and just barely cool. One time they weren't cool anymore and 1/2 of the meals had to be thrown out. Just wish the delivery could be more reliable and they'd get 5 stars.
