I used a key cutting self service machine in Nottingham and when I returned home and tested the key it did not fit the lock. I took the key to Timpson shop in West Bridgford and had a new key cut. Ver... See more

I went to a Timpsons store in a Morrisons store in Leeds for a key cutting. The key was cut and cost me £10.00. When i got home the key would not fit in the lock so I had to return it. I had another key cut and returned home only for the same problem, it wouldnt work in the lock. I returned again and asked for a refund due to the poor service which i got with no issues. May i add that each time i returned the staff concerned were apologetic and friendly with no problems there. I went elsewhere in the end and the key i had cut worked perfectly, and i paid half the price. Timpsons need to train staff better or whats the point of the service. I will never use them again.

The professional service at the Timpsons Ealing shopping centre on the main piazza is fantastic ! Very polite and prompt as well. I have gone there regularly and went there recently on 7th March Saturday. Both of the staff were great. Please make sure they get recognised.

Timpsons Lion yard in Cambridge. The lad is called Kai i think. Always goes above and beyond. Yesterday he engraved something last minute even during a busy period. Always friendly

My experience with Timpson has been a nightmare from start to finish. I originally took my vintage leather bag in for a professional colour touch-up; the result was amateur—patchy, uneven, and covered in a transferable black residue.
When I complained to point out the poor quality, the staff member was incredibly unprofessional. He refused to admit any wrongdoing and actually falsely accused me of "insisting" he perform the treatment. This was a total fabrication used to cover up his own lack of skill and a complete lack of professional integrity.
I escalated this to customer service and agreed to drop the bag off strictly for a specialist inspection. I provided clear instructions that no further work was to be carried out without my express consent and a formal assessment.
Timpson completely ignored these instructions. They performed an unauthorised "treatment" without any communication, and the black residue is now significantly worse. Because I was not informed that more product had been applied, I handled the bag normally, and it has now permanently stained my white clothing.
From the dishonesty at the branch level to the total lack of administrative control in their "specialist" centre, Timpson has proven to be incompetent and untrustworthy. I am now forced to find a genuine specialist to attempt to salvage the leather.

Twice I've been to my local branch( Sainsbury's Selhurst Park)to get a passport photo taken and twice it has been declined by the government site because the background they're using for their photos is inadequate. You're better off taking it a home yourself against a white background. Do not use their services.

I have always had an excellent, friendly professional service from all the staff at Timpson's Great Barr Birmingham. Staff are helpful and cheerful, up for a friendly chat and deal with you without haste, you don't feel rushed by staff when you are handing in your garments. I recently dropped off a wedding dress to clean, and forgetfully handed it over in a personal garment cover and thought after I drove away "I probably won't see that again." However, I was pleasantly surprised to find it had been returned to me when I went to collect the wedding dress two weeks later. Many places would have probably discarded it, but Timpson's did not. Great service.

Leo in Wolsey Walk Woking branch was fantastic. I went to Morrisons and they were not able to do my key. Leo was very professional, fast and friendly, he cut 3 keys for me without any issues.
Would recommend.

I took a pair of motorbike boots in to be resoled. The boots were sent away and I collected them the boots now afford all the wind and rain protection of a pair of flip flops. I contacted Timpsons as I would prefer to give them a chance to rectify the problem. Apart from automated emails I have had no response. I have had to replace my destroyed boots at a cost of £465 plus the costs of paying Timpson's for their incompetence. I would not trust this company to fit a watch battery.

Had my lovely leather handbag repaired at the branch in North Street Brighton - I was impressed by the quality of the repair done - I am now able to have years more use of my bag, Thanks to all at Timpson's.

Had some fully leather trainers "resoled" by timpsons for £40. Turns out that just means gluing a piece of sole over the old sole, getting glue all over my shoes, and then trimming it with what looks like their teeth. Absolutely piss poor quality. Employee told me it just needed polishing off. No idea why a proper job can't be done the first time, but then apparently I don't understand much about shoes. Got a full refund, won't ever use them again.

Glen in Timpson outside Asda, Gateshead was absolutely fab! He went out of his way to fit a new strap to my dad's watch. It's very precious to me. He persevered by using and adapting replacement bars, so the strap could be fitted. Thanks so much Glen. It meant more to me than you'll know x

I took my £200 Paul smith scarf in to be cleaned and it had about 30 different buttons on the edges and they sent it back with some of the buttons melted into the wool and where the wool had gone hard from the melted buttons. They never put it in the comments on the paperwork. The manager Michael at alfreton store was brilliant and couldn't do enough for me, but they offered me £25 and my dryclean amount back. This was a beautiful vintage scarf. So you have been warned. Don't take anything here unless you are willing to get your item back ruined and a laughable compensation.

Dont use a self service kiosk! First time i have. Took over 15 mins to work. It then chucked out a key that doesn’t work and two pieces of scrap metal! Called the helpline…’Miss AI’ told me to go to a shop. I did, helpful guy cut 3 keys in 5 mins! He said it is happening all the time….and he has to re cut them but does not get paid!!! I tried to tip him but he refused saying not allowed!
Use a person folks, the kiosks will ‘bust’ the people if not! Shame on you Timpsons!

I had my shoes heeled in Carmarthen Tesco south wales and they were badly done as one of the heels was lost and the other came straight out. I went back and the lovely guy Pete admitted they were not the right heels and put them right for me he was so kind and didn’t charge me as it was his colleagues mistake. Thank you Pete for sorting my expensive gorgeous shoes

Went here to get two small keys cut for a padlock as needed more for a building site security gate. Said he couldn't cut them but if I bought a Timpsons padlock from the shop it comes with three keys and he could cut two more. 'Padlock with 3 keys is £5.99'... 1 minute later he cut two new extra small keys for it.... 'That's £23.95'. Absolute scam!!

I bought a pair of shoes at the Mayfair branch in mid December. I was told at the time that the shoes would be repaired by early January. I stopped by the store twice (in January) and no one was able to provide an update. I was only told that the factory was very busy. I followed up via email and got a reply on 5 February stating that the shoes would be ready in 2-3 weeks. It will be 3 weeks tomorrow (26 Feb) and I have not heard anything back... I suspect that there will be more delays, albeit no one is capable of explaining why that is. Very unreliable and very poor customer service!
