Do not buy

Do not buy. Homes are not worth the money. Very poorly built. Bought this home in March 2021. Nothing but problems. Blown render reported within 1 year. 20 months later still waiting for repair. Had to have floor repaired because they did not put the right screws in. Too short. Needed damaged work tops replacing. Sent a electrical engineer to fix gas problem. The problems are endless. You could probably buy a better built shed from a DIY store.
Since they changed the customer care team they are a waste of time, no help at all

They have now gone into boat sales, if they are as bad as their park homes please stay away especially as you will be on the water!!!

Pity you can't give 0 stars, once again more problems. Only been in our home for 7 years and have now had to replace every soft closing hinge. I must implore people not to buy a Tingdene home as there customer service is non existant. If you want a park home go for Prestige Homeseeker their customer service is really good. STAY AWAY FROM TINGDENE.

I have to agree with the other comments…

I have to agree with the other comments on this site, Tingdean are absolutely useless. We have been in our home on Hall Hills park in Boston for almost 3 years and we have been waiting all that time for them to replace our internal doors for some that aren't sub standard. There was lots of snags on our original list after purchase that took ages to get even looked at, the repairs are shody and they need to come back again, There are a number of cracks on the exterior walls that are getting bigger all the time, the timescale for repair on these keeps slipping further and further back. The worst part is that thier customer service team don't actually sort anything out, there are lots of platitudes but no action. The customer service team as apparently all been refreshed several times to improve the service but alas nothing changes. They even flat out refused to replace bathroom tiles that were incorrectly put in at the start. Think very carefully before buying from them, once you've paid they don't want to know you.

Extremely poor customer care

Having received such shocking customer service and after sales I feel I should inform future prospective buyers of Tingdene Homes to stay well clear. Having purchased a Tingdene home on a site last year , not yet 12 months ago to be told you are out of warranty for a faulty front door locking mechanism. They don't want to take any responsibility for repairs and we're extremely inadequate when dealing with my complaint. They move the goal post when stating their so called policies and procedures to suit them. We were told that we had 12 month warranty from occupancy but then tried to say it was from when the home was put on the site not from occupancy so basically there is no warranty at all. The customer care is disgraceful with no loyalty or compassion for the customer at all.

The worst company I have ever dealt…

The worst company I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is the most incompetent service I have ever experienced. I have even contacted and complained to the directors and chief operating office with no resolution to the multiple issues I have with a luxury lodge I have purchased 18 months ago. I would advise anyone thinking of purchasing a lodge from them to look elsewhere. Don.t buy from Tingdene.

Absolutely horrendous company

Absolutely horrendous company - stay away!! Me and my husband purchased our park home in Norwich in 2014. All has been well until the roof developed a significant leak. We reached out to the customer team and were told the guarantee that was offered with the home was void and we should speak to the company who intially provided it. That company said we should speak to the original manufacturer. Since then it’s been 6 months going back and forth and no resolution. Me and my 84 year old husband are now sat in a cold and damp home with faulty electrics and considerable health concerns. Not good enough!! Shame on you all Tingdene.

Poor Quality.

Moved into our new home in Saltburn in March 2022. Found 45 snagging points and counting! Many windows to replace, Kitchen units and tops chipped, utility room....still not able to use all cupboards due to poor workmanship ,floor scratched to bits, fireplace to replace, tiled bathroom floor uneven, wardrobe doors scratched and ill fitting, etc etc!! (I should say some items have been fixed but still waiting for many things to be done which is causing nothing but stress, instead of being able to enjoy our new home) There is no quality control with this company and even a Tingdene manager said it should not have come out in this state! Customer service is a farce with promises of getting things sorted....still waiting 8 months on!! Need I say more?

One of the worst companies for customer service

One of our double glazing units became faulty in Feb 2022, we arranged with Tingdene for a replacement which they said was free.
Their engineer came in March but the window he brought was the wrong size, something we predicted would happen based on previous experiences.
We then called them every month for an update each time being told its all in hand but then nothing happened.
Eventually we were told a replacement would be brought on Oct 4th 2022 and there was a fitting charge of £140. The first time any charge had been mentioned.
We waited in on Oct 4th and at midday when nobody had visited I called Tingdene to be told they were not coming today. We were not surprised.
Tingdene’s customer service in the past two years has become terrible if you are considering buying a home from them you should think very carefully about using a company that cannot look after you once it has been delivered.
I am very surprised this is the first review for Tingdene on Trust Pilot there are plenty of complaints about them on sites like complaintsboard.com
