Normally quite happy to visit Toby Carvery Redhill but tonight was very dissapointing to say the least. The amount of meat was hardly enough to make a sandwich. They had run out of vegetarian bak... See more

Very poor carvery at Stanway Colchester,
Lamb was old dry not able to eat! Told waiter, she said no one else had complained took my meal off bill, no offer of replacement. I had a sandwich from local supermarket instead
I am a regular Toby user, had one in Harlow recently which was excellent
When we placed our booking one of out…
When we placed our booking one of out party was gluten free, special requirements section option was 1 gluten free menue would be provided, no such menu exists, they stated the only gluten free option were the meats, the same meats that we witnessed cross contamination. The table hadnt been cleaned and the toilets were shocking! Way over priced, the quality of food was extremely poor.

Just had another lovely meal at Tobycarvery widnes, fantastic staff and very filling meal Debbie was our waitress and Matt did a fantastic job as the chef , with very good portions and an affable friendly nature and all at a fantastic price , why people pay £30 plus for meals in restaurants only to come away hungry is beyond me , I will never do that again

Toby Carvery Formby, GREAT EXPERIENCE!
So happy to say my wife and I visited Toby Carvery in Formby today. Excellent food served on a warm plate, made better by first class service provided by Steph. We will definitely visit again. The beef, turkey, pork and gammon were all best quality, and the server gave us only prime cuts, fat free. Superb value, top quality, and great friendly atmosphere!
BEst Carvery we have ever had!
We are regulars at Toby Carvery in Bolton, we go every week as the offers are brilliant. The food is great, the two people that stand out to us is Kayleigh and Rosh, Kayleigh remembers us every time we visit and knows exactly what order we have, Rosh always has our drinks on the table when we arrive as he knows exactly what we order. They are both amazing and make our visit a great one. There are also others which I dont knoe all their names, Becky and Niamh are 2 others, they are all fantastic and make us feel welcome every time. Thankyou Toby Carvery, always a please to visit
THANKYOU ETHAN AT ROOLEY LANE TOBY CARVERY.
We recently had a carvery at the Bradford Rooley lane Restaurant.
We were served by a lovely gentleman called Ethan, who is a credit to your company.
He's always so friendly and helpful and nothing seems too much for him even when the restaurant is at it's busiest.
Thankyou Ethan and keep up the fantastic customer service.
Many thanks,Brett n Trish.
Dudley toby carvery Service bad staff…
Dudley toby carvery Service bad and staff are rude the food is awful it was supposed to be a breakfast with santa.
Worst experience ever was only seated 5 mins before breakfast closed we arrived there early table not ready told to pay so we all paid we was told see santa first he is going soon then we was told as we put drinks on table have u been to breakfast it closes at 11am this was at 2 minutes to 11am and we was sat at 1055am we then had to rush to santa like a fast pitstop and then get to breakfast kids was rushed and food was not great what was left and available plates were all dirty dried egg black bits and grease staff responded what you expect 350 plates out there and was so rude and i didnt eat it but others had hash browns which was all burnt as they was bringing mash potatoe out so service was finishing and bacon was swimming in grease and pot washer john rude as hell did not want to give his name absolute disgrace so complained whilst there but manager not in so had to see shift manager who agreed it was not good and she would not be happy either so we complained to head office and got a generic email back saying breakfast service finishes at 11am stated on website and staff have been spoken to and we will use for marketing improvements in the future. I think disgusting to say the least so my question is well why take bookings for a 1050am slot even your own shift manager agreed she dont know why toby allocate that slot and regarding staff spoke to i dont believe you did even the manager never contacted us and others have said on reviews staff are rude so they have not had this addressed as its still happening i think a disgusting response so we emailed back and got no answer either so we phoned head office talked to a lady saying the manager hasn't even got in touch she said she will pass it all on for someone to get back to us that was well over a week ago with no call just shows the level of care they have in head office so save your time avoid this place the food has gone downhill this is true other i know have said the same and staff are rude and service is poor so be warned better places to go and eat they toby dont care they dont even respond to reviews either that speaks volumes they just dont care about the customers

I wouldn't do deliveries form Toby carvery if I were you. It was horendous.

Finally received my order. One slice of turkey each, beef horrendous, no mash for either, ordered additional Yorkshire puddings, not received, gravy was water, freezing cold. The worst meal I have ever had.
Don’t bother. Unless you are in the restaurant pointing at it you won’t receive it. Inept. You ll upload some photos some how
I wouldn’t be ordering a takeaway unless you don’t want it 2 hours later. Just eat is terrible. Fraudulent updates. Last tobi I have.
Dreadful Christmas Day Meal
Dined at the Toby Carvery in Knowle (Wilsons Arms) on Christmas Day. Unfortunately, the entire three course meal was equally disappointing. The menu descriptions were misleading and bore little resemblance to what was actually served. Starters arrived poorly presented and lacking in both taste and quality – far removed from the enticing descriptions provided beforehand. The starter in question was the Camembert Cheese Fondue. This was nothing more than cheap cheese flavoured packet mix, two thin pieces of stale white bread smeared with some sort of oil and a few flakes of greenery coupled with a plastic pot of cheap imitation cranberry sauce. Either the chef had run out of this particular starter and made up the one we received or that’s what was being served to guests throughout the day. I’m an avid lover of camembert cheese fondue with toasted rosemary focaccia and cranberry sauce and that starter was nothing like it in every respect. It was a dreadful cheap nasty imitation. The main course was similarly unsatisfactory: bland, overcooked watery vegetables, dried out meat, hard burnt roast potatoes and the Yorkshire puddings were awful tasting of old dirty used greasy cooking oil. Presentation was uninspired, and several items appeared to have been prepared in haste, with little attention to detail or flavour. The dessert course was no better, the toffee apple crumble was inedible, the so called toffee apple filling was minimal and tasteless with the crumble being hard as rock with substandard taste, leaving us all thoroughly dissatisfied. Given the occasion and the price point, we had anticipated a festive and enjoyable meal. Instead, we were left feeling let down by the quality of the food and the misleading nature of the menu. The overall standard did not reflect the premium price charged of £70 per person, nor did it meet the expectations set by your establishment’s reputation. Regrettably, what we received was an underwhelming meal that failed to deliver on its promises, compounded by the distress and inconvenience caused by the booking confusion. The value for money was wholly unacceptable. Will not dine there again.

Great service from all the team at Toby, Norton Canes. Food was good, missed the sprouts and parsnips but there was plenty of other options. Lewis was very welcoming despite being very busy due to the £6 deal and Emma who was on the deck and was very friendly and did a great job carving. My husband was very happy with his gammon and the crispy turkey skin.

Went to Wakefield Toby carvery and had a lovely experiance. It was busy but our server Patrick went above and beyond to make us feel like valued customers
Rude staff poor quality food and not worth it
Rude staff poor quality food and very dirty plates and crockery chef wears a very disgusting dirty apron draping over the counter as he leans near the food and he looks homeless and unkept to be honest really off putting experience will not return.
Very Hungry Unhappy Customer
I ordered a breakfast and coffee from Kings Norton Toby Carvery. I only received half a cup of cold coffee. This cost me £15. Attempted to contact them via telephone and email and just got answer machine with no supply. This is not the first time. Very unhappy with service at Kings Norton and would recommend that you use one of the many other Carvery's in Birmingham.
