Are you sure?

Okay here I am again. I was prescribed sleeping tablets a while back but have to be aware of clashes with other medication. I went back for a prescription and was told that I shouldn’t worry about clashes (despite the numerous other tablets I take) and should just buy OTC medication.

So which is it? Is it safe or could there be clashes. According to the NHS website Nytol has a moderate clash with most of my medication. Really worried that the advice I'm receiving is dangerous.

Deserted

Well the reforms are certainly working. My practice is completely void of patients this morning. Does that mean that we are all hail and hearty? No. We just can’t access your system to get an appointment. Even if we can then it will be a telephone appointment.

I can see surgeries going the way of bank branches. It’s not healthy.

Totally useless practice

Totally useless. Have had an infection for nearly 2 weeks. Have tried over the counter medication from the pharmacy but it just isn’t strong enough.

I requested a telephone appointment but instead was called by a receptionist who told me that I had to see the pharmacist again as they didn’t treat that condition.

So I’m not going back to the pharmacy and paying for more medication that won’t work (especially as I’m exempt). Instead I will wait for the infection to spread and then go to A&E.

Would it not have been just as quick to write a prescription as it was to call me to say get lost?

Basically the NHS is being privatised! Healthcare for the rich only!
