If your experience with Tony's has been less-than-perfect, we'd love the chance to put things right before you leave us a review.. So pop an email to mailuk@tonyschocolonely.com, and our Choco Fancare team will work their magic. Tony’s Chocolonely is an impact company that makes chocolate, committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. And not just the cocoa in our chocolate, but in all chocolate worldwide. Tony's Chocolonely was founded in 2005 by 3 journalists from the Dutch TV show ‘Keuringsdienst van Waarde’ after they discovered that the world’s largest chocolate manufacturers were buying cocoa from plantations that used illegal labor. Since then, we've dedicated our efforts to raising awareness of and eliminating inequality in the cocoa industry, becoming the #1 chocolate brand in the Netherlands. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example and show the world that chocolate can be made differently: in taste, packaging and the way we do business with cocoa farmers. Starting with paying them a higher price. Alone, we’ll end exploitation in our cocoa supply chain, but together we can change the industry across the globe. That's why we invite everyone to join our commitment. 'Cause it's only together that we'll end exploitation in cocoa.

Very poor chocolate
Very poor chocolate, I would compare this to asda smart price chocolate but at a premium price, I would not recommend.
My favourite chocolate!
I am so shocked to see some of these reviews. Yes the price is higher than other chocolate bars. You do get a lot of chocolate in the bars and you know that the price is higher because it is fairly paying everyone who helped to make it.
I have tried most bars and I am such a big fan! My favourites I think are the salted caramel and the milk & dark.
Someone said how it doesn’t taste anywhere near as good as Dairy Milk. This is shocking to me as Dairy Milk is a cheap chocolate, where as Tony’s is a luxury chocolate. The tastes do not compare.
Ethically you may want to buy this bar however if you can’t afford it, particularly in these hard times it’s ok to go for the cheaper options. I’ll go for a Cadbury’s every once in a while.
But to me, Tony’s is an ethically treat that I always look forward to.

I love the brand's image and message but the price and the taste just do not compete with the most popular brands like Cadbury.
Replaced and refunded 👍
When DPD lost their parcel, they were quick at chasing it up, and immediately sent several replacement bars via another courier. They also issued a refund without further prompting, great customer service!
Overpriced & Terrible Taste
Overpriced & Terrible Taste!
Great concept but poorly executed. The price for starters is very high compared to other chocolates in their target market. They have a good idea about ethically correct chocolate but it’s so poorly made I would not consider buying it again nor supplying it or recommending it.
The packaging is very helpful for…
The packaging is very helpful for allergies as it clearly stated what was in each of the eggs very happy!
It was supposed to be a simple bar of chocolate…
It was supposed to be a simple bar of chocolate, nothing more. But throughout, it had hard sharp lumps that hurt my tongue.
I tried several pieces, and had to spit out each of them.
If they wish to be ethical, as they claim, they can start by not ripping off, their customers with stuff not fit to eat.

Love this chocolate my favourite ❤️ don’t know why I see bad reviews I think it’s the best , very smooth and full of flavour *****
Ethical company, fantastic product
Delicious chocolate. Almond sea salt is my favorite but all the flavors I've tried have been great. And I'm very happy to be able to buy from an ethical, mission-driven company.
Good ethics, terrible service
I've been wating nearly a month for items that haven't arrived, have emailed them multiple times but had no response. Absolute joke.
This company clearly have good ethics but they're not going to do any of the good they want to achieve unless they can do basic things like dispatch items ordered and respond to customer emails. Sad to say I won't be buying from them again
No dispatch or communication
Bought several packs for Christmas and Hanukkah but they weren't even dispatched! Didn't respond to emails and nothing arrived.
Had to chargeback on PayPal.
Wish I'd read the reviews. You would think that such a brand would have better service. Perhaps they are too big now to care.
Customer service non-existent
Ordered a load of chocolate several weeks ago and it's been stuck in processing since. Have emailed 5 times (no reply), tried calling but nobody picks up / goes to answerphone and nobody replies via social media. Cannot cancel order and stuck in limbo. What an awful company with rubbish customer service. I just want a reply...
Disappointed
I usually buy Montezuma chocolate but decided to give this a go given how popular it seems to be. I bought a dark bar and loved the packaging and back-story - but the taste…eek! I suppose it’s edible but that’s being kind. I was expecting a premium quality bar for that price and this tasted like I’d bought a 50p basics bar or cooking chocolate. Back to Montezuma then!
A fun Experience - making my own bar
When to the shop in Amsterdam to design our own chocolate. There was no queue so we could get it ordered straight away. There was a slight delay in the picking up process due to the shop becoming overwhelmed with orders, but we just popped back later on and it was seamless.
The advent calendar is a disgrace for…
The advent calendar is a disgrace for the price you pay. Chocolate tastes cheap and plastic like. Despite the huge box, you get one small chunk - not even every day as they’ve left some empty to demonstrate the unfair chocolate industry…so I’ve paid full price for a partly empty calendar. For the price I was expecting at least one larger bar or a full size one for Christmas Day. Honestly so disappointed and will not bother again. Terrible.
Poor Advent Calendar
Purchased a Tony’s Chocolonely advent calendar from Fenwick. Really disappointed in the quality and quantity of the chocolate, the box is so much bigger than what it actually is and number 12 is missing completely, I understand the reason behind it but when you pay so much it would be nice if they made it clear beforehand. Customer service is poor, attempted to contact Tony’s and Fenwick 3 times, neither of which has responded. Would stick to Hotel Chocolat in future.
Didn't like it
Didn't like it, the milk chocolate was waxy and oversweet and not nearly chocolatey enough. Tasted more like American candy than decent chocolate. The dark version was better, but not great.
Yummy choc doing the right thing.

A company trying to make a real difference. Well Done Tony and team.
