If your experience with Tony's has been less-than-perfect, we'd love the chance to put things right before you leave us a review.. So pop an email to mailuk@tonyschocolonely.com, and our Choco Fancare team will work their magic. Tony’s Chocolonely is an impact company that makes chocolate, committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. And not just the cocoa in our chocolate, but in all chocolate worldwide. Tony's Chocolonely was founded in 2005 by 3 journalists from the Dutch TV show ‘Keuringsdienst van Waarde’ after they discovered that the world’s largest chocolate manufacturers were buying cocoa from plantations that used illegal labor. Since then, we've dedicated our efforts to raising awareness of and eliminating inequality in the cocoa industry, becoming the #1 chocolate brand in the Netherlands. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example and show the world that chocolate can be made differently: in taste, packaging and the way we do business with cocoa farmers. Starting with paying them a higher price. Alone, we’ll end exploitation in our cocoa supply chain, but together we can change the industry across the globe. That's why we invite everyone to join our commitment. 'Cause it's only together that we'll end exploitation in cocoa.

Disappointed
Thought I'd buy a bar to see what justifies the price.
Yuk!
My wife and I both said the same thing. It tastes like the chocolate that cheap Christmas Tree decorations are made from.
Threw it in the bin
Inadequate communication
I emailed you multiple times requesting that you to delete my data. You said I do not have an account with you. I explained I keep receiving marketing emails from you regularly. It's been several weeks and I've followed up twice with no response. Absolutely ridiculous
Placed an order back in August 2023…
Placed an order back in August 2023 emailed them asking for update on order did not respond before I asked for refund through PayPal which was done in September 2023 the order arrived shortly after I received the refund I then received the email from Tony’s saying your order has been delivered by which time I had reversed the PayPal payment and closed the case now today I have been sent a reminder for payment but the amount they’re asking for is double the original order of £21.60p so I have emailed asking what’s going on and how the amount has double they expect payment by 29th November and that they have had the money back check with PayPal I sent them the proof of original order refund from PayPal and then the payment made back to PayPal. I will never use this company or buy the bars else where the chocolate was not very nice oily and no flavour so Tony’s sort it out because I’m not making payment check your emails before 2024 I look forward to your response
I love this chocolate 🍫
I love this chocolate 🍫 good variety and I understand why it’s the price it is. Tastes better knowing how it’s sourced
Delicious and ethical
I am baffled by the poor reviews of Tony’s. I love their chocolate. It tastes delicious, there are lots of great flavours, AND it is ethical. What more could I want

Very expensive and tastes like cheap Easter egg chocolate
Ben & Jerry’s dark chocolate brownie:
Ben & Jerry’s dark chocolate brownie:
- Better than a dairymilk coz has texture
- Can eat dark chocolate and don’t usually like dark chocolate
- Reminds me more of a cookie than a brownie
- Would have been nicer with milk chocolate
- Brownie prices would have been nicer if they were bigger and softer
- Good idea but bad execution
Flavour combination: 3/10

Love the chocolate so ordered some…
Love the chocolate so ordered some online, still hasn’t arrived 2 weeks later. They do not make it clear on their site how long you might expect to wait for shipping, and they make it very hard to contact them. Asked me to verify I was not a robot before I could submit my question but was no facility to do that
Terrible customer service
I really love the chocolate so with that in mind ordered a gift set and a card to be sent to a friend after an operation and still not received.Emailed to chase and no reply!terrible customer service and a shame all round
All opinions matter
I may be in the minority here. I very much liked this chocolate. Its smooth and certainly not overly sweet as others suggest - with the exception of the white bars, which are super sweet.
It is an expensive chocolate, but it is up there with the luxury tastes. Its great for a little treat to yourself
James is correct but it's only worth 1 star
James, you absolutely nailed it, I had just said the same thing to my partner, pretty much word for word.
Get that cheap chocolate taste for 3 times the price!
Got a free bar thanks to a shopping app. Very chunky like a Yorkie bar, but very unappealing chocolate flavour. Tastes like the chocolate you get in a cheap generic Christmas calendar.
Very disappointed chocoholic…
I’m a chocoholic and have seen these loads. Decided to buy the box of mini’s to try different flavours, which cost £6. Really not worth the price at all. It is similar density to yorkie, which is way cheaper. The flavours are over powering and the chocolate might be chunky but it’s not a good quality. Definitely won’t buy again. Save your money and stick with dairy milk or galaxy of if you want something a bit more special Lindt while not cheap is much better quality.
It is the best in uk
It is the best in uk, I truly think the people giving bad reviews know nothing of taste, freshness and flavour. You have to be a sour person to give it a bad review . Don't believe the bad reviews
Surprisingly low-quality
So I have seen this chocolate everywhere in the UK over the past few years and I decided to give it a try (I usually buy Montezuma or Willie’s).
It’s…. not great.
I tried the “dark” almond and sea salt. Which is a very over-sugary milk chocolate. I guess it’s probably a step up from Cadbury’s which is maybe what they were going for.
Amazing chocolate
Amazing chocolate, honestly cannot believe the reviews. I had the orange wrapper which tasted like salted caramel. Was fun to eat and I love that there is an ethical side to the brand. But I bought a bar for about £4 in Tesco and I may have been robbed because I have now seen it online for £3 - maybe a different size. In any case I cannot agree with the negative reviews. I do not eat chocolate often but when I do I will be buying chocolonely!
cheap and nasty
Very expensive cheap and nasty chocolate - it would be overpriced at 1/10th of the price and I wouldn't eat it again if it was free.
I brought this as it looked like a…
I brought this as it looked like a fancy treat it was very pricy at £2.50 for a bar of salted caramel chocolate. The more I ate it the more I hate it. Its truly awful, it tastes dusty/ muddy and not creamy like Cadburys. It's very hard and not easy to bite off a piece or break as they have separated it into odd shapes and pieces. I get the brands idea and ethics which is great bit the chocolate sucks. It's hard, not very tasty and too be honest pretty gross, just sugary and lacking any real chocolate flavour. It tastes like aldi own brand chocolate. I feel like I've been conned into buying something that looked great but is very cheap chocolate with a hefty price tag. It also keeps giving me a headache as soon as I eat it and I can't make my way through the rest of the bar. It's going in the bin.
More than chocolate?!
I found an object (glass/plastic) in my sea salt almond bar - almost choked on it and thankfully did not fracture a tooth. The quality of the chocolate is sub par for the offering and the shape is simply infuriating. Impossible to share. In the words of Colin Powell, “never again” give me a bar of Cadburys any day!
