I am an armature photographer. Topaz is wonderful for helping me produce expert quality photos, and cleaning up my archive. However I feel it is too expensive for people like me (my bill in Canadian dollars is now $226 per year), and I wish they had a version for lightweight users. The old ownership model was much better for me. Since Topaz is not a full lightroom replacement, I need to pay for other software too. The new subscription is a luxury that I cant really justify, but I will try it for a year to see if they spend their new revenue on real improvements. I am looking for better support for HEIC, JPG-xl and other modern formats. If they ever add full camera/lens based developing tools with regional adjustment I would abandon DXO and use only Topaz. Right now DXO is my must-have and Topaz is a luxury add-on.
Not a fan of the cloud apps.
Don't Buy - Non existent support, can only contact through email and they don't reply, it's been over a week and contacted them twice. If on the Mac non functional (even the legacy apps) unless on the latest few OSes and M chips.
Very good program. What it does is unbelievable
The cloud apps are more trouble than they are worth. I am still geting messages on how to buy them or "Try it - free". I have paid for them. I should be able to use them easily. Just getting to the apps is a pain. I am sorry I ever purchased them.
The tools do not work and the features either time out, error out, or say rendering for 30+ min and never renders a result.
Not worth the money
I started with Denoise, Sharpen, and Gigapixel, then added Tooaz video. The upgrade path to Topaz Photo and now Topaz Studio was easy. Great software with regular updates. Other companies could learn a lot from Topaz in terms of customer experience.
I still don't fully understand what "Studio" is. Your website is EXTREMELY confusing about it. Mosaic has good results, WHEN it produces results. Photos produces decent results, but why does it need to recompute everything every time? There is potential, but a lot of work to be done on the UI side.

Just starting to use what I purchased recently and I already know that I will not be disappointed.

User friendly & powerfull
Excellent products but with subscription model those are way too expensive.
All the AI features are very, very slow. It's very inefficient to work with the current version. I have an M1 Mac equipped with 32M RAM. I'am very disappointed.
It does not work in After Effects 2024, so it cannot be verified.
user interface is horrible. Zero help
I'm not happy with this, it crashes continuously. Iwas able to obtain some results with some old jpg the first day, but after when i open topaz from photoshop it does nothing for like forever then it crashes
