Direct quote from my BBB complaint

Direct quote from my BBB complaint. Next stop Atty General and if necessary, court.

Complaint:

New Furnace and Central air installed in November 2025. Approx Jan 2026 Furnace quit. Waited 6-8 weeks for part. Then spring came. A/C has not worked at all. Numerous calls for service, waiting approx 2 weeks between each call for technician to come. Topline has cancelled 2 appointments so far with the only “available” reschedule date 2 MORE weeks away. It is not possible to confer with any management or any employee other than the “call center”. It is now the end of June and no air. To summarize I have spent the majority of the winter running electric heaters because of no functioning furnace and so far all of spring going into summer with no AC. I have been evidently been “pushed to the side” (referring to TWO cancelled appointments) for other seemingly more important customers. But then again I paid cash, so they already have their money from me.

06/25/2026:
Topline contacted me this morning from multiple blocked numbers and asked that I “call or text them back”…..
When I finally DID get a call center person, they said they WERE going to come out today, but now it would have to be tomorrow. At the end of it all now they can’t fit me in until MONDAY. They repeatedly refused to reschedule ANYONE ELSE. Again.

WARNING TO HOMEOWNERS!!!

****Updated Review – October 2025****

After over a year of ongoing issues with our original Goodman HVAC system (purchased in June 2024), TopLine Heating & Air has finally made things right.

We had a new Midea MGV96U100D5C furnace installed by a team of three, including Tyler, who was described as very knowledgeable in installations. This model is part of the Midea MGV96 Series, rated at 96% annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) with 100,000 BTU input / approximately 95,000 BTU output — a much more powerful system suited for our 5,000 sq. ft. home.

Originally, we were promised a Bosch system, and while this Midea is not a Bosch equivalent as initially stated, it appears to be a higher-capacity, properly installed unit. Sheldon, the manager, assured us that this installation was done correctly and will finally meet the home’s heating demands.

We went through a very difficult experience over the past year — multiple breakdowns, service delays, and miscommunication — and my previous reviews reflected that frustration. It was warranted at the time. However, I do appreciate that TopLine ultimately stepped up and provided a new, more capable system.

We are hopeful that this new unit will perform as promised. Only time will tell, but for now, I want to acknowledge that TopLine has taken meaningful steps to correct the situation.

Review of TopLine Heating & Air – WARNING TO HOMEOWNERS

There should be no star rating. We purchased a brand new Goodman HVAC system from TopLine Heating & Air in June 2024 for $20,000, and it broke down immediately after installation. Since then, it has continued to break down over and over again with new problems every month.

Technicians admitted the unit was installed incorrectly (wrong exhaust pipes, improper hoses), the control board had to be replaced, and water now collects inside the blower causing the system to fail. The unit cannot reliably heat our 5,000 sq. ft. home. We were even left without heat and hot water in the winter for a week, and TopLine’s “solution” was to drop off space heaters.

Despite repeated calls, messages, and even formal complaints to the PA Attorney General and BBB, the owners refuse to replace the unit, their resolution manager admits he never followed up, and the company keeps telling us “replacement of the unit is not an option.”

Bottom line: This was a brand new system, yet it broke down immediately and continues to break down. We are stuck with a $20,000 lemon, and TopLine refuses to take responsibility. Do not trust this company with your home or your family’s safety!!!!
