I love the product based on my previous purchase. Delivery on this purchase was messed up.
The travel XP was advertised as in stock. It didn't ship until 9 days after the order was placed and the haz mat label on the battery was incorrect causing it to be returned to manufacturer. It has now been 20 days since the order was placed and the battery has not yet been reshipped.

Solid motor. Torqlink throttle could use some improvements.
Solid motor. The Torqlink throttle could use some refinement. It randomly forces us to recalibrate and the lever can be insensitive at times. It's often difficult to set the throttle to a specific power or RPM. We use a third party battery, so we'd like to be able to set the State of Charge to any percentage instead of just 100%. We don't always start traveling at 100% SOC. Also, the GPS speedometer will often tell us we're traveling at 0.5 knots when we are tied to the dock. So..., needs work. Other than that, very happy with it's reliability so far. We hit the prop on a rock and it chewed up one of the prop blades a bit. Cleaned off the frayed plastic with a razor and the motor is still running strong!

Dear Mr. Scotten, in this case it sounds like the remote is probably a bit defective. GPS as well as the gas sensor are not working well. You can contact a Torqeedo service partner so they can replace it and check the system with the new one.
Also the remote needs a little bit of configuration when used with third party batteries. The service partner can help you to configure it correctly, or you can check into the remotes settings for a "battery" menu. Thank you and best regards.

1) how many years will parts be still available, and

No replace batteries for Torqeedo Travel 915Wh
We have a small fleet of sailing boats to charter and 2 years ago we started to replace our outboard for tenders with electric motors. We have now 2 Torqeedo Travel 915Wh.
The clients like them and they are easy to use. However, this week, one of our clients had an accident and he damaged one battery. We tried to buy a replace battery, a 1148-00, but Torqeedo does not have in stock and they can not inform when they will pruduce it again !!!
We bought a premium brand to have after service and now we relise we do not have it!

Your price of $80 for a few once’s of zinc is unconscionable. The $20 delivery fee convinced me to switch to an alternative supplier for my next electrical propulsion device.
