For a small company they certainly make a great product. Well made 3d printed device with quality construction.

Software really easy to setup and configure.

Integrates into DCS World with no issues.

thanks for the feedback, a large source of the confusion is that our website provider doesn't have a 'ticketing' support system built in, so while our chat looks like a live chat, we are unable to provide support in real time. We are working on finding a solution.

Lack of support and communication

When I ordered the communication was lacking, when I then had issues, and the product stopped working, they said they did no longer support the version I had bought 1 year earlier, and that I should solve the issue my self.
I would highly recommend spend a few extra and get TrackIR 5 . You don't have to go thru this hassle and a waist of money.

Hi there Jesper, I'm afraid your review is misinformative. We do indeed still fully support the V1 sensor, the latest version of the software is readily available on our website at https://www.trackhat.org/trackhat-opentrack and received updates as recently as a few months ago! Also the V1 sensor is available on the up to date open source version of Opentrack as well, firmware that we gave away freely to the open source community so that our products will ALWAYS be supported. I hope you'd like to think you wouldn't want to mislead people, so hopefully you will be polite enough to delete or amend your review, thanks!

Regarding the PS3 eye camera, its still fully supported in Opentrack. We are unable to offer support for it through a trackhat branded software version any more, because it is a sony product.

Great innovative company with perfect products

I bought the trackhat in 2020 and had I great customer experience starting from the payment and extended to shipping and after receiving the item. The team was professional and covid had a minimum affect. The product is perfect which led me to jump to the opportunity to use V2. Cant wait to receive it.

Sensor v2

Delivery was longer than stated on website when I paid for the sensor v2 but once it arrived and set up I'm very happy with it. It takes longer to setup than normal head tracking but the freedom of movement is much better and no annoying clip to worry about.

A very good customer experience

I was unfortunate enough to have ordered a trackhat V1 + trackclip in late december, while the company apparently had some issues with a shortage of components.
However i was kept well informed of the current state of my order by email !
In fact, as it got delayed by 2 weeks, i received an email informing me that the company was about to release a more expensive V2 of their product, which is what i received 2 more weeks after, and without any additional costs !
In total, i've waited for about a month but i was kept informed and got an upgrade so 10/10.

Is it possible to give a 0? Like in 0 reaction form the seller? Just requested a refund from PayPal and it's approved, I think it's seriously time to Blacklist this guy! What a joke this company is. Just ordered "TrackIR" will receive the shipment within 2 working days...

@James: 1st, thank you for the IMMEDIATE reply to my review! Congrats on the improvement, fast learner? 2nd: I suggest you reply with the same effort to ANY questions from your customers relating to your products and especially the delivery, like in the basic rules of courtesy, because this is some BAD, REALLY BAD ADVERTISEMENT!

This was well worth the wait

This was well worth the wait, caused by downstream supplier issues, pretty cool little device that works amazingly well, website support pages are very helpful and I would recommend this without hesitation, I've not had cause to email James for help, but I get the impression he'd be more than happy to assist, based on earlier communications.

Great for the price

Great product, works great, I had a bad experience with the postal service being on strike so took 3 weeks to receive. Lack of communication, I understand with a small employee base.

Don't trust this organisation

Don't trust James or his organisation! The product looks good and I was impressed by the speed with which he charged my account. However, it took 3 weeks to despatch the goods, in October. The parcel has never arrived and James now ignores my email. I have now engaged a lawyer in the UK at great expense to his company.

No communication or support

No communication or support after purchase at all. I ordered a month ago, and the only communication was that the product was dispatched with no way of tracking it.

It has been more than 3 weeks since then, and for delivery inside the UK, it shouldn't take that long.

No email to contact them on and no reply on the support chat even after 7 days of messaging.

Update after reply:
- How do we find out why it's being delayed and what can we do about it?
- Why is the chat on the website not working? This could have been answered there without having to complain on here.

Great Alternative to VR!

I wanted a more cost effective alternative to head tracking for when I play DCS without needing to shell out thousands on a VR setup. My friend had experience with Trackhat in the earlier stages and I bought one to give it a try. Since then, I've thoroughly enjoyed my time in DCS way more than I ever have before!

Pros
-Very cheap affordable, good product as an alternative to VR for a couple of games
-Very easy to set up
-Materials used are of good quality

Cons
-It took a little while to receive
(This honestly doesn't really count as a con against Trackhat themselves because the Royal Mail sucks lol)

Clip arrived dead, sensor is worse than advertised

Clip arrived dead, refused to acknowledge the issue deflecting and ignoring my issue which were confirmed by me and fellow electrician to be hardware fault of the clip itself despite trackhat trying to convince me it is software issue. Sensor has worst tracking than ps3 camera even after months of adjusting the software settings.
