Collected my car today, absolutely amazing service from Lauren, Jake, and Raqeeb.
Bait advertising, no cars at prices advertised on the website
I can confirm what many other reviewers have reported: in my experience, Trade Centre UK appears to use misleading “bait” advertising.
Their website shows cars at very attractive prices, but when customers visit the dealership, those cars are not available, and the cars actually offered are priced significantly higher.
As of 06/07/2026, their Rotherham branch is advertising:
- 2020 Nissan Qashqai 1.3 DiG-T 160 Acenta
Mileage: 60,117
VRN: KN20 HXK
Advertised price: £6,999
- 2020 Vauxhall Grandland X 1.2 Turbo SE 5dr
Mileage: 40,481
VRN: NA20 ORV
Advertised price: £4,999
On 05/07/2026, we travelled from Manchester to the Rotherham branch specifically to view these cars. Neither car was available or could be found. Instead, we were told/showed that the cheapest similar cars were around £11,000 or more. In fact, the cheapest cars we saw on site were small cars such as a Citroën C1 or Peugeot 108, priced at over £8,000.
This is very disappointing and, in my opinion, harmful to customers. It gives people a false impression of the used-car market, wastes their time and travel costs, and may discourage them from considering genuine deals elsewhere.
I hope the Advertising Standards Authority investigates this type of practice, because customers should be able to trust that advertised vehicles and prices are genuinely available.
Anti-climax
Everything was going really well until I signed for the car to find it needed work and I had just done the veygo insurance to get it home and the tax but it could take two weeks. I'm stuck in limbo as I'm going to lose the GAP guarantee and clearly the condition was the car means it is worth less than I paid and if I don't get the car within 14 days I'm going to have to cancel the finance. I liked the staff but I'm let down by not being able to drive the car home after being told all vehicles are checked. I'm gutted
Terrible after-sales service
Although the sales team were very keen to get my business and the product was good value, the after-sales and collection service was very poor. The vehicle and the paperwork wasn’t ready when I arrived to pick it up, despite me giving them an extra day to do so. This resulted in me sat waiting around for a “couple of minutes” which was more like a couple of hours. There were also slight problems with the car, which I alerted the staff to, but which weren’t sorted. The interior and exterior hadn’t been cleaned before collection.
DO NOT deal with this company
DO NOT deal with this company. We bought a vehicle a little over 3 weeks ago. Within 12 hours the engine light was on, they lie through their back teeth to avoid dealing with the problems, we still have the vehicle as trade centre are totally incompetent. They will use any technique they can to get themselves out of a problem. They had evidently plugged our vehicle in and removed the light in order for us to drive away. They are crooks, please do not deal with this company, there are plenty of reviews online and on social media platforms that would suggest people have very similar issues on a regular basis. So also read elsewhere if you’re to believe this is just a bad experience.
Very disappointed with how our…
Very disappointed with how our complaint has been handled.
After experiencing serious issues with the vehicle we purchased, we raised our concerns with the branch and have been dealing directly with the Branch Manager. Despite this, we have now been told the matter is being passed to senior management, meaning even more waiting and uncertainty.
The whole process has been exhausting and has caused unnecessary stress for our family. We have spent weeks chasing updates, explaining the same situation repeatedly, and still have no clear resolution.
I appreciate that complaints sometimes need to be escalated, but after already dealing with management at branch level, it is frustrating to feel like we are back to waiting again instead of receiving a prompt outcome.
Based on our experience so far, I cannot recommend Trade Centre UK. Customers deserve clear communication, timely decisions, and confidence that their concerns will be dealt with efficiently.
Purchased a car after purchase review
If I could give minus a billion stars I would. absolutely diabolically. incredibley appalling . Constantly give out vehicles that are unfit for use and a money pit for yourselves. Do not go there. Avoid at all cost, check out trade center nightmares on Facebook before u visit them.

I was sold a car that could not be…
I was sold a car that could not be taxed for 6 weeks.
After waiting over 3 hours, filling out forms and whatnot, I was told to drive (in the car i brought) to the post office who told me they couldn't accept the form Trade centre filled out. I drove back and was told I would have to pick up the car in the morning. This was fine as we left for our holiday that afternoon. In the mean time I sold my car as Trade centre suggested I go to we buy any car in the morning as I could get a little more for it. Only to be told I cant have my new car for 6 weeks. They have been inflexible to come up with a decent solution, only things that work for them even though its their error. The latest thing I have asked for is a courtesy car, which I am doubtful I will get.
Big thanks to Maxwell was a massive help
Excellent service from Jake
Excellent service from Jake. Made things very easy. More than happy with our purchase. Friendly and helpful from start to finish.
Fault When Sold, Rejection Refused, Pitiful Compensation
Car had faults come up during the drive home.
The faults include multiple items that should have been inspected during the 99-point check the Trade Centre supposedly carries out before the sale of a vehicle, which means I have no confidence in this check whatsoever.
The faults included the following:
•Tyre pressure very low upon driving away, this was resolved by me when we arrived home (but clearly not inspected during the 99-point check).
•Media Screen glitching beyond use (screen was removed with intention to repair/replace by The Trade Centre Rotherham on 10/03/2026) with no estimate as to how long this would take. Clearly not inspected in the 99-point check.
•Cruise Control turning itself off and refusing to turn on again until the engine has turned off and back on again.
•"Service Required" appearing on dashboard screen when engine is started.
•"Service Engine" appearing on dashboard screen when engine is started.
•Orange Engine Warning Sound & Light comes on when engine is started and running.
•Stop/Start not functioning.
•Driver side windscreen wiper broken, temporarily repaired by myself with some adhesive but the technician didn't replace the wiper when dropped off for repairs. Clearly not inspected on the 99-point check.
•Fault with turbo diagnosed and leak was clamped, which isn't a full repair.
All of the above faults were supposedly repaired and tested by The Trade Centre Rotherham on 10/03/2026.
Since 10/03/2026:
•All previous mentioned faults still in place.
•Milage display flashing indicating electrical fault (this began following attempted repairs by The Trade Centre Rotherham on 10/03/2026)
•The car has stalled at traffic lights and wouldn't restart for a few minutes.
•A rattling noise when going over bumps, that sounds like there is something loose in the left side of the car.
•USB ports not providing power.
I have since taken the car to the Rotherham store to reject it and receive a full refund. After a week of waiting I was called regarding the results of the inspection. The woman on the phone said the technician found no faults. I told her that unless they have magically disappeared or been repaired without notification, the faults will still be there. I asked to speak to the manager but the woman on the phone refused and repeated what she had already said. I told her that I'm not collecting the car because I'm rejecting it due to the faults. She said I need to collect the car otherwise I would be charged storage fees. I asked again to speak to the manager and she said the manager isn't available and would just tell me the same thing. I insisted she have the manager call me back when they are available and she repeated herself again saying that wouldn't be possible and they would tell me the same thing. At this point I hung up, as the woman was clearly not willing to help me and I was beginning to get angry.
I find being refused to speak to the manager unacceptable, and repeating the same information is incredibly frustrating and patronising. I told her I'd heard her the first time but she kept repeating all of the things she had already said.
I called the Trade Centre's after sales again and spoke to a different person regarding my issues and I was told they would test the car again.
The car is faulty and it's costing me hundreds of pounds dealing with this, as I keep having to come to Rotherham which costs fuel, and I have to take a day off work because they won't let me bring it at the weekend. I have so far had to take 2 full days off work due to the faulty car that was sold to me by the Rotherham branch of the Trade Centre. I have also had to inconvenience my sister so I could be dropped off or collected whenever I had to leave the car there, so these issues have also cost my sister time and fuel as well.
This whole situation is completely unacceptable and I have never been so unhappy with any company in my life. I am not the sort of person who complains like this, but I have also never spent this much money before and also then received such terrible after sales help.
I have given the Trade Centre £11,000 of my money. I expect a fully working car in return. It is the least the Trade Centre should be providing.
I have been offered a measley £100 compensation to cover the cost of my time, fuel, and loss of wages in attempting to resolve the issues. Absolutely disgusting.
I will be taking the car to a local garage for repairs and I expect the Trade Centre to fully reimburse the cost of this, since their technicians are clearly too incompetent and unempathetic to fix it. I will not be visiting Rotherham Trade Centre again. I will be removing all Trade Centre branding from the car, and I will only be too happy to never have to deal with them again in my life.
