I highly recommend avoiding this…

I highly recommend avoiding this platform. While other platforms protect buyers and offer support, Tradera does the exact opposite. Because of this, I have filed a report for fraud with the Dutch authorities. The product was not delivered, the seller is unresponsive and does nothing, and Tradera does absolutely nothing either. I will continue until I expose the true nature of Tradera everywhere.

On Tradera 15 years/THE BEST & SAFEST

I'm on Tradera around 15 years and have had a secure and decent relationship with them . True the one change is that they hold Your cash longer but that is to protect the buyer ,until they get the items. It builds trust in the platform . I can't really understand the amount of negative reviews .I can only think Sellpy or Users of , are bombing Tradera with nego revs.

Tradera Not Support Buyers, Only Sellers...

I won an auction on Tradera for a product, were I paid for that.
But I did not received the product and the seller did not refund the total of paid amount.
I have contact Tradera but they did nothing, as always, Tradera only protect the seller, not the buyer....
I do not recomend Tradera, as they will not support you when the things going wrong

Horrible platform stay away!

Horrible platform just list your item for sale elsewhere.

I made an account and posted an item for auction. Tradera locked my account for no reason 2 hours later. And started questioning me on email. "Why are you selling on tradera?" "What will you be selling". I answered all questions same day instantly. but account still locked for 1+ weeks now and im being ignored on mail.

I am confused on how a platform can choose to operate in such terrible non working way? Everytime you want to list something, they will lock your account for 1+ weeks and question you a bunch of strange questions, who wants to deal with that?

I recommend everyone not to create a Tradera account and list your item for sale elsewhere. The amount of hassle and headache is not worth it. They really do not care at all about their customers

The 10% selling fee is higher than any other similar platform that I know. And now you added 5% purchase fee for no real added value.

Our commission fee is set as low as possible to keep both our members as happy as possible while also being high enough to cover all of Traderas expenses and continue to develop the site.

We are constatly evaluating this to see if it can be lowered.

Regarding the buyer protection and it now being mandatory, it adds the value and possibility for buyers to get help from Tradera with repayment if a seller does not properly go through with the affair.

Tradera now take a mandatory fee for buying something

Tradera now take a mandatory fee from the buyer. If I buy something in a normal shop they never take a fee to be able to buy something there, this is a scam from tradera that they call "Tradera köparskydd". The fee is also not stated how much when Im at an items page, only when I going to pay. I going to Quit tradera and never buy anything until the mandatory "Tradera köparskydd" is removed.

Haven't received m'y purchase and…

Haven't received m'y purchase and nothing refund despite confirmation of french post nothing's coming from sweden post as told me the seller !
And despite the "guarantee" refund of Tradera for buyer, they just answer close on favor of seller.
Seller that's doesn't send me the proof of sending the plates !
They're just unrespectable of their own conditions of sale and that's a shame for international trading !
Avoid transaction by sweden post : expensive and bullshit.
Other transaction by international transport and other seller good.
Tradera seems to me to protect first sweden seller...and their own benefits

I am selling and buying using Tradera for long time and I can highly recommend it. The only inconvenient is price for byer protection and shipping,they are a little bit too high compared with other platforms.
Overall I am really glad to use Tradera.com

Good and bad

Good and bad: it’s my experience with Tradera.

The good:
- lots of advertisements
- lots of categories
- easy to get connected with customer service (if needed) and always the issue is resolved instantly
- reasonable shipping prices (but the competition is cheaper!)
- the auto fill function works mostly
- buyers protection is also reasonable if you buy more expensive items. It’s worth paying as the scamming is massive.

The bad:
- to continue from previous point…: a lot of scammers on the site, posting items that are never shipped, selling multiple items being a copy of previously sold item just to fool as much people as possible before they are discovered.
- there is a report button to rise the flag about specific listening but it takes long time before the fraud is detected. There is also no feedback after the report so at some point I stopped carrying . And I see scammers every time I’m on the site.
- there is no way that one user can warn other user about the particular seller, so the scammer has plenty of time to cheat.
- if you get scammed the reporting and waiting for case to be resolved (hopefully in your favor) takes enormous amount of time: 10 working days!! It’s an unnecessary long waiting and many times it’s stressful.
And if you didn’t pay the buyers protection fee you are on your own. Accept the loss.

So do I recommend it?
Still yes, but proceed with caution: if you are buying electronics, other expensive ones, always pay for buyers protection, check user’s rating, don’t buy from new account with zero reviews. If it’s cheap, it’s probably a scam.

As for the app: please fix the glitches.
The pictures are uploading slowly, rotation editing tool is ridiculous. The screen scrolls down while you are on the description field so you can’t see what you type… small little annoying things.

Good platform for old toys…

Since 2005 I am a registered tradera user from Germany and I am completely happy with it so far.
From time to time I have found some
rare old toycars and hope to find even in the future. Good and trustworthy platform!

A bloody scam!

Mandatory buyer protection at 5%? Is this seriously your business plan now? To milk people for all they have? It's not enough tat you charge a few to list ads and then also take a 10% cut, now you want to bilk the buyers too? Shameful!

Dont ever buy from tradera!!!!!!

Dont buy from tradera! I recently bought a jacket there from a seller with buyer protection, the seller contacted me saying he had sold the jacket, i got a refund but not for the seller protection because why would i pay for it if i never got sent the jacket. So i contacted theyre chat and they told me they cant give me a refund because i opened a dispute already.

Well ofc i opened a dispute because the seller did not refund and told me i had to contact you guys. So now im paying essentialy for something i never received.

Please be smart and dont buy from this company, theyre a bunch of scammers.

Unfair exploitive buyer fee structure

This company charges a high ten percent fee to sellers and yet no purchase protection is included for buyers unless they buy it. When something went wrong I was left on my own. So i started paying with my credit card to get protection from my bank. Now as of 2025 Tradera is forcing buyers to pay an extra five percent of the purchase price for insurance even when you essentially have coverage through your credit card. You are not allowed to refuse it so I’m forced to purchase redundant protection. Customer service ignores related complaints. They lost my trust and my business.

*Update* Note their useless default response below. They send the same basic response to everyone on this forum - always avoiding the actual issue. Sending a message to their customer service will result in no action and no changes.

Absolutely no care for their customers or users

As someone running a small business, I was excited to try Tradera as a platform to grow my customer base. I had high hopes, but it quickly turned into a disaster.

After selling a few items with no issues, I woke up one day to find my account suspended without any prior warning or explanation. I reached out to their support team immediately, hoping for clarity or at least a chance to fix whatever the issue was. Instead, I was met with silence.

It took them over three days to respond to my email, and when they finally did, it was a generic, unhelpful reply. I asked for more details and guidance, but every response was the same vague, one-line message. It was clear they didn’t care about resolving the issue or even understanding my side of the story.

What’s worse, they don’t seem to understand—or care—how damaging this is for small businesses. Losing access to a platform with no explanation or support can disrupt sales, hurt your reputation, and waste countless hours trying to get answers that never come.

If you’re considering using Tradera as a channel to grow your business, I urge you to think twice. Their customer service is practically non-existent, and they show no regard for the sellers who rely on their platform.

I’ve also noticed that their responses to negative reviews online are robotic and copy-pasted, which just adds to the frustration. They don’t engage with their users or take any feedback seriously.

WARNING: ALL BUSINESSES STAY AWAY

As a business owner with over 400 successful watch sales and zero negative reviews, I thought Tradera was a promising platform to grow my business. Unfortunately, I couldn’t have been more wrong.

One day, Tradera decided one of my vintage watches didn't meet their "standards" and suspended my account without any meaningful explanation. That’s when the real nightmare began.

It became glaringly obvious that Tradera has no real support for its sellers. Their so-called "security department" appears to be staffed by a handful of student workers with no interest in helping you resolve issues. Their email responses take 72+ hours, and when they finally reply, it’s often a single, vague line that leaves you more frustrated than before.

When they asked me to provide documentation for my vintage watches, I supplied everything I could—close-up images of the movements and invoices from my vendors. But instead of helping to resolve the matter, they dismissed my efforts without offering any clear path forward. Their unwillingness to assist sellers is shocking and shows they simply don’t care.

It’s not just me—if you check Tradera’s responses on Trustpilot, it’s blatantly clear that they’re automated, copy-pasted replies with no real effort to address individual concerns. This further proves how little they value their users, and their lack of genuine engagement speaks volumes about their priorities.

If you're considering using Tradera to grow your business, don’t do it. They don’t care about their sellers. Their customer support is virtually non-existent, and they’ll treat you as disposable no matter how much value you bring to their platform.

This is a huge warning for anyone looking to sell here. Save yourself the frustration and choose a platform that actually supports its sellers. Tradera is not it.
