Very Bad Customer service

Tradera’s customer service is terrible. They only send template responses and don’t bother checking your issue. I ordered a MacBook, later realizing the screen was broken. The seller turned out to be a scammer and demanded 400 SEK via Swish for a refund. I contacted Tradera’s support, but they ignored the situation and let the scammer ship the order. Later, they told me they couldn’t cancel it because it was shipped. After waiting for a long time, the package finally arrived, but it was empty. I recorded a video showing the unopened package sealed with DHL tape and sent it to Tradera. Instead of resolving the issue, they banned my account! I lost 2000 SEK for nothing. DHL couldn’t locate the item either, and now I’m trying to get compensated for an empty package. Tradera, fix your customer support and listen to your clients—it’s unacceptable to lose money like this!

Innovative service that needs more focus to their core... Customer satisfaction

There are many things that I appreciate at Tradera. They strive to make better and new services, they try to lower the shipping costs and time to time they (could more often) give discounts on their fare to sellers.
One thing that I more than once found myself struggling with is the customer service. The answers are "it is what it is" styled and are feels like an "Information service" rather than Customer service.
I although give 4 stars just for observing that they try to get better.

In July 2024, I purchased a watch for approximately SEK 10,000. However, I was mistakenly charged double for buyer protection. After filing a complaint with Tradera via their chat, I received no resolution. I then escalated the issue to Danske Bank (my bank in Denmark), and the case is still under review.

Tradera overcharged me 10% for buyer protection instead of the correct 5%. Despite this, they are now falsely accusing me of having received a full refund for the watch, which I did not. I have emailed Tradera three times with clear evidence, including full bank account and PayPal statements, but their only response has been, "You must pay." They have shown complete disregard for the evidence provided, totaling another SEK 10,060.

Moreover, I have asked them twice for proof of their claim that I received a refund, but they have ignored my requests. Their behavior is unacceptable and bordering on fraudulent—demanding payment twice while refusing to provide any proof.

I strongly advise against using Tradera, as you may encounter severe legal and financial issues. My case with them is still unresolved.

Poor customer service

Poor customer service. Bought a lot with several items - all damaged or missing from the seller when it arrived. Looked like garbage finds..Contacted seller , no reply as it’s probably a scammer. Reported to Tradera . No reply . Had to contact customer service a second time who said I had not added Byers protection fee?? Left the case with no assistance and help. They obviously have sellers that are unreliable and probably make this as a business. Be very aware when you deal with Tradera. Have now lost money for the purchase and freight.

Tradera obviously missing my point here - they have scammers as sellers, they grab as much money they can and don’t take responsibility. The sellers like this should not be allowed to trade on the site , Tradera charge the seller a fee , good and bad ones and don’t care about the outcome, this how they make their money. Cheap, disappointing and dishonest. Don’t fall into the trap and their bad advice, the policy is not to help just grab the money. If Tradera had honest and genuine sellers this would not happen.

I’m sure this scammer of seller is still trading online. Avoid the seller Beauty98_ or you will receive some complete rubbish from the side of the road - if you receive anything at all.

Also take your time to read other reviews they have received -make your own judgment. My advice, stay away from Tradera unless you want make a contribution to more landfill. After 20+ year as a loyal customer to Tradera I was finally for once scammed. I bought an item, but the seller did never ship the item and then he stopp to respond to messages.

I sent in my money to TRADERA. but when I asked customer support if I could get my money back they said no unless I bought the extra buyer protection.

As I have also sold items on this site I know Tradera deduct both the shipping fee and also the comission fee before tradera pay out to the seller. So I asked if I at least could get the shipping fee and the Tradera comission fee back. the support said no.

So basically what tradera does is they kind of take the money they earn from a scam. They kind of earn money even if the seller scam buyers, this is what happned in my case. I was scammed and tradera took the fee anyway.

I will NEVER use tradera EVER AGAIN.
So much for 20+ year as a customer on this site.

Verification is practically impossible. Clearly I am not the only one having this problem with MitID. Fix your system and dont reply with plz contact costumer service. I did and they are absolutely useless!

Zero if I could. They allow fraud.

Zero if I could. Bought a jacket, listed in men’s category as size S. the pictures wernt great but I could see enough (I thought). It turns up as a women’s size M! I ask tradera and they say there is nothing that can do since I didn’t pay extra for buyer protection. So essentially they are ok with and allow fraud and do nothing about it and don’t care unless you pay them. Absolute joke of a company with no regard for laws or safety. Avoid it there are much better selling platforms available.

Avoid Tradera

I had an issue with the seller who never sent me what I ordered, and ignored my messages. Tried to connect to Tradera support, but they sent a reminder to the seller and asked me to wait a few more days. I contacted Tradera support again and was told that there was nothing they could do except remind the seller.

They don't care if you've been scammed by the seller unless you add their extra buyer protection which is of course paid option. Will avoid buying from Tradera from now on. There are better alternatives.

The seller cancelled the money

The seller cancelled the money, I bought the insurance. And tradera is refusing the refund. NEVER buy there.

The seller had 5 stars reviews, selling for 10 years. But he got flooding in his basement and cancelled the sale. Instead of cancelling all the sales, Tradera suspended his account and made it very hard to get the money back. They told us to contact Klarna, and after we did, they claim Klarna did not contact Tradera and they couldn't do anything until they did. Obviously, either Tradera or Klarna are lying, or both, and neither are willing to act on it.

Conclusion, don't buy with Tradera or Klarna, terrible consumer support.

Shipping cost issue not covered

I have been selling a lot on Tradera and everting always went well.
Recently several listing were set as free shipping by the app without my knowledge or consent, which means that I didn’t see it when the sales went thought with free shipping.
But when I had to ship, Tradera charged me for the shipping price.

When contacting the customer support they acknowledge there was an issue but told me the shipping could have been changed manually (even if I didn’t noticed the change I didn’t make) and told me they can not compensate or refund me for this.

They also told me that if I wanted my shipping money back I’d have to ask the buyer to send me extra cash through bank transfer or Swish…

Very unprofessional to not take responsibility for an issue you were responsible for and terrible experience with the customer support

Hole of scammers and fraud

I paid a product through tradera and I never got any contact from the seller nor the product, I contacted the tradera customer service and they said I should leave a negative review and contact the police even when they are holding the money yet. Once you pay, you loose your money.

I lost 700sek and the money will be hold by tradera without recharge it back to me. This website is a hole of scammers and fraud sellers, in this way is how they make money.

I will never buy anything from there again and I will recommend to anyone I know to not do it.
