A price was agreed for salvage, with me having been totally honest about the car's condition. Then one phone dropped the price by £100 - even though, it had been declared - then on the final call, just before pick up - the price was dropped by another £500 - again, the reasons given for the drop had all been included in the original write up. A dreadful way to deal with customers and a complete sham. Now sold via a totally honest company.

VERY DISAPPOINTED
I would recommend looking elsewhere for used parts.
Very poor and incompetent company to deal with, no customer service skills whatsoever.
Firstly sent the lamp for the wrong side of the car, as they had labelled it incorrectly.
Replaced it with another, which arrived damaged.
We have tried to arrange a replacement with them, they keep sending an automated template which thanked us for ‘reaching out’, and requested the vehicle reg, which we have sent to them 3 times now.
I requested a call from them but still nothing.
I get that sometimes things don’t go to plan, but ‘the measure of any decent company (or person) isn’t that you don’t have problems, it’s how you deal with them when they occur’.
4 weeks on and still not resolved, I hate to think how they’d deal with a bigger complaint than a broken lamp

Scrap car collection , they offered £3 !-yes £3 for a discovery in wiltshire , just 60 miles
When I questioned it they said it’s too far yet they have a you tuber who collects cars from wales London even Essex , they even went to Scotland
So I sold that same vehicle for £600 so the response and reply i received ( below ) illustrate the arrogance

They have invested literally millions ( of borrowed money ) on this venture
And the reply I got was arrogance, you’ve invested literally millions in the new business so I’m really surprised

Great experience, Dan on the call was great, answered all my questions about the Mercedes Rear Door I needed. Collection was also good, didn't wait long to be served, the man who served me went into the store collected door and placed it in my car. Excellent Service, I will recommend.

Great service as normal, called late in the day and Robert managed to help me out on 2 cars, great service.

SHAM COMPANY
I arranged for my car to be picked up
for scrap while I was not at home.... I left the keys on the front wheel as requested By their staff. The car must not of been to their liking as they like to sell SCRAP cars on their forecourts to the unsuspecting public.

On my return home the vehicle was still their and they had stolen my car keys and won't return them. I called their office only to be fed a bunch of lies by a Rude obnoxious piece of female Trash. I knew her tactic from the very start where she was making out she couldn't hear me and ohh its a bad line. In the end she put the phone down on me.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY ... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ⚠️

You called me at the time to amend the offer which I accepted. SO DONT LIE!!.... I returned home to find the car doors unlocked and no way of locking the doors.. You are liable for my car keys because you were the last person to have them in your possession. SIMPLES!!!!!

Just wanted to say a really big 'Thank you' to all the team at Charles Trent. The service was honest, prompt and reliable. the driver who picked up my car called when they sadi he would as well. as the friendly service, i can't remember the drivers name now but thank you anyway. Also the cusotmer service in reponding very quickly after my card details had ben enterd ring and how thy swiftly took care of it and get in touch with me as soon as possable. I have never had a car scrapped before, but Charles Treant really did take care of the whole proceess for me. Many thanks again to all involved.

Had the parts I needed, contacted on the Friday sent payment link had both large body panels by Tuesday morning,

Would give minus if we could. Have telephoned on various occasions over the past few weeks they never answer the phone decided to use other option said to the girl is there no one on the parts line without a word was put through to parts lol as you can imagine no answer you couldn't make it up. How do they do any business unless they are only interested with online enquiries and sales. There is no customer service anymore not like when Mr Trent Senior was alive. Very surprised they are still in business

Bought a bumper from them through eBay. Unable to get a despatch date or any other information, have tried calling them multiple times but am left on hold for an hour. Tried emailing but received an automated response.

The gentleman I spoke to was very helpful. He checked that the part I was enquiring about was the correct part for my car. He confirmed it would be with me by Friday. I will certainly recommend Charles Trent to any of my friends requiring vehicle parts.

Bought item through ebay,agreed return with seller for refund,item returned through DPD organised by them but not received refund,item back on sale on ebay,don't buy from them they're con artists.

Poorly managed, Lying Company, who will be so desperate for your 50/60£ for services that they do not provide.

The last time I purchased a car from this company the car was listing as working but actually wasn't.

The car had headlights in the picture turned up with no headlights.

I purchased many cars online- This company blocked my account and refuses to re-open, unless I pay them a re-listing fee.

By the way I attempted to pay for the car on the second day after winning the bidding. They have to keep for one week without charging me anyway.

I bought a tailgate for a Renault Clio in the same colour as my sister's after she reversed hers into a skip.
The idea was to save money on body shop costs by finding an undamaged one in the same colour.
The tailgate which is very heavy was stood up on its left hand side edge on a wooden pallet with just the thinnest most meagre strip of polyurethane foam to sit on.
After the courier dropped it off and I unpacked it I discovered the corner was very badly bent.
Because there was a delay between me receiving it and unpacking I had no way of getting my money back.
My point is this, having been in the motor trade 35 years, sending heavy body panels via courier with woefully inadequate protective packaging is a waste of their time, the courier's time and the customer's time and I am now left with 2 useless Clio tailgates instead of one.

This was the first time that I have used Trent & I suppose at sometime I would use them again. I would like to thank Matt for his help in getting what I wanted. Thanks Trent car recycling. 🚗

SHOCKING SERVICE
DROVE 60 MILES TO COLLECT DOOR ATFER SPEAKING TO CHRIS ON THE PHONE, HE ASKED IF I WANTED DELIVERY BUT I SAID NO ILL PICK IT UP SO HE KNEW I WAS HEADING OVER, ARRIVED AN HOUR OR SO LATER AROUND 10.30 AM TO BE TOLD THE DOOR WONT BE HERE UNTILL 3PM BY SOME OBNOXIOUS YOUNG PERSON IN THE OFFICE, SO I CALLED THE UNHELPFUL SALES PERSON CHRIS) BACK TO ASK ABOUT THIS WHO WAS ALSO RUDE AND REALLY DID NOT CARE THAT I WASTED DIESEL AND A MORNING OF MY TIME, I ASKED FOR A REFUND AND TOLD THEM TO STICK THE DOOR. ABOSOLUTE JOKERS IF THEY WORKED FOR ME THEY WOULD ALL BE SACKED, PROB NOT THE FIRST SALE THESE CLOWNS HAVE COST THERE COMPANY.
Gone are the days of turn up pay ya money and take your parts, complete rubbish.

Chris took my details for an invoice but I never got one as I assumed this would have been given on collection, I asked about a better price for cash on collection and he said no cash, he also asked if I wanted delivery and I said no I’ll come and collect it assuming pay with card on arrival, to save me time going home first to get a card I got a friend to pay for while I was driving down, again no mention about 3pm collection, I was clearly led to believe I was coming over to buy a door and pay when I got there. Then when I was fold about the problem I called the office back and I think they expected me to just stand around in the cold untill 3pm when I arrived around 10.30 in the morning.
