I was a solo female travelling to Costa Rica with a young child. The on the ground support was fabulous. Messages via WhatsApp so instant responses. I managed to miss a trip one day and they quickly rescheduled to the following day. Plus an additional trip was booked with short notice. The drivers were reliable, on time and spoke English. It all ran to plan, very smoothly.

Chris,from Tanzania in earlier life was responsible for making this trip to Namibia Botswana Zimbabwe and Zambia unforgettable and impeccable! With everything down to advice on visas vaccinations flights times consideration to our ages ( late 60’s attempting camping driving as newbies!) can’t recommend enough!

Great service from beginning to end. Planning process was flexible and Alex did a great job. Holiday was fantastic.

We decided upon a trip to Tanzania for our family of 4 at relatively short notice and after contacting 2 or 3 agents, felt immediately comfortable with Tribes. Vanessa understood very quickly what we were after and presented us with options from which we decided upon a week on Safari followed by a week’s R&R on the beach in Zanzibar.
We were delighted with the safari - our guide Frank, from Kilimanjaro Safari Club, was brilliant, taking us from Manyara, into the Ngorongoro crater through the Serengeti and onto Grumetti Hills, to see the Migration. The accommodations were excellent in and around the parks as well as on Zanzibar. We felt that, though expensive, the value of what we experienced was great. All the logistics worked like clockwork; we would recommend Tribes and hope to use them again.

Chris is so knowledgeable and has a real knack of grasping what we are looking for. We spent 7 nights in Zanzibar at The Zanzibari - perfect for relaxing and catching up with grown up children. Then a hop to Simply Saadani for 3 nights - a beautiful, tranquil "camp" on a Robinson Crusoe coastline with stunning sunrises over the Indian Ocean. We use Tribes because of its ethical approach so we know wherever we stay, the local communities will be benefitting from our stay.

A truly magical experience visiting Stone Town, Rufiji River camp, Ruaha River camp and Mafia Island.
The travel consultants local knowledge of Tanzania meant that they were able to provide detailed information in advance of the trip and all the logistics work seamless when we were there.

All the advice and suggested camps/transfers (especially the helicopter one!) were excellent. They also remained in regular contact and were always making us aware or reminding us of when something was required to be done. We couldn't fault them

From start to finish Alex was always available.

We had the best experience visiting Zambia, Chris listened to what we wanted, asked what our priorities were, then put together the most wonderful itinerary visiting some very unique lodges, the flights were all organised, we just had to turn up, all of the planned activities were exactly as described, Tribes were always contactable should we need anything, I felt happy knowing Chris had planned our perfect trip, thank you

After checking out lots of travel companies to plan the trip of a lifetime, I settled for Tribes. Thank goodness I did as from the first conversation planning our itinerary they listened to exactly what I wanted, suggesting different camps to have an immersive experience of Botswana. A special mention to Vanessa Berry who was my point of contact throughout and answered all of my many questions promptly and in detail. I will absolutely use this company again and would highly recommend.
