I attended the spring Algarve Triathlon camp with TTH. This was my third time on the camp and once again it was a fantastic experience. Really well run, excellent coaching, supportive and safe environment, food and accommodation. I will be back! Thank you TTH.

Amazing training holiday in the Algarve with TTH. My third time in a row returning for the spring camp, and I will be back for more next year!
Excellent coaching and organisation,
camp is able to cater for athletes of all abilities and experience and adapt to the needs of all athletes through the week.
The food provided is fantastic and I’ve made friends for life on the camps
Would highly recommend the camp to triathletes of any ability and experience regardless of the distance you are racing

Having struggled with balancing work and a promotion, being a dad and attempting to do some training - I took the decision to attend a training camp to kick start my training for the year.
Whilst I achieved this and my training is now going well, the real value this camp offered was a complete mental reset.
With a week of structured training, rest periods and no need to stress over food or portion size - I could concentrate on what mattered, being off the grid and some much needed “me time”. Which improved my wellbeing tenfold.
The quality of the coaching was impeccable, led by Coach Diogo (with a mixture of humour and encouragement) but the real takeaway was how I felt when I left. The chance of some winter sun, fresh air and train in an inclusive environment pay dividends and I no longer had a heavy head and a residual tiredness.
A camp is a perfect way to asses your fitness, kick start your training or make marginal gains. However it also offers so much more to anyone caught up in life and struggling to balance it all.
I look 10 years younger according to my wife, my whoop says my HRV is 42% higher than usual and I’m looking at Training Peaks again. Amazing what one week with TTH can do.

We had amazing weather in the January camp. Coaches on our camp were Diogo, Rita & Dougal who were knowledgeable, helpful & good fun. Scott & Lynn kept us well fed all week! They prepared a really high standard of food! Lovely people all round and met a real great group of people on the camp. I can't believe I have waited so long to go on one of these camps!

Went in to see Philip for a sweat test. Lovely, friendly bloke with deep knowledge of his subject matter and a clear passion for the sport. Had a great chat and the test flew by. Results were explained thoroughly and this was then put into the context of my training and how I might make the most of this data. He even followed up afterwards to ensure that I find out my sweat rate for maximum precision in my hydration and nutrition strategy. Very positive experience and I look forward to working with him again in the future.

Really friendly, and relaxed camp. Adjusted activities to pitch at different levels. Great location, fantastic views. Only improvement would have been getting the weekly schedule earlier to help with pre-camp logistics.

Our trainer was competent and well-informed, and gave us great tips for beginner open-water swimming: sighting, acclimatising, fitting wetsuits. Would definitely recommend if you're tackling your first triathlon.

I had an orientation session with Tri Training Harder a couple of days before my triathlon. Philip offered great tips for setting up transition, the dos and don’ts and clearly showed us the transition set up and which way to go etc. It was a real help as it allowed me to mentally prepare for the challenge ahead so when I arrived the morning of my event I knew exactly what to do. The swim session was also extremely invaluable because I got to experience the weeds before the big day! Philip talked us through various pointers, giving us advice on how to tackle the weeds, the mass start and what do to if we got into difficulty. All in all, it was a very useful session given by someone who is clearly an expert in their field. Thank you Philip.

A tough but rewarding week! Excellent coach ratio, excellent location/accommodation, excellent local facilities with a well thought out programme and with sufficient recovery-time between sessions - I was definitely improved by the end of the week. But yeah ...

I have been a coached athlete for a few years and have attended other TTH camps, but this is my first time in Portugal and, once again, TTH went above and beyond to deliver an excellent training camp that was beyond my expectations.
Pre-camp:
- Communication was excellent. Multiple email reminders on training and travel tips.
- Upon arrival, the car transfer from the airport was very smooth and efficient - I was taken care of from the moment I landed.
- One of the coaches also checked in with me at the airport to ensure everything was going fine.
Facilities:
- The resort was tranquil, spacious, clean, and peaceful. The apartment and rooms were meticulous - well stocked (with food and drinks) and provide everything I needed for the week (toiletries, washing machine, towels etc.). They are cleaned and restocked with fuel on a daily basis.
- Nutritious dinners prepared by the in-house catering team Scott & Lynn. Tailored for different dietary needs from gluten-free to veganism.
- 50m indoor pool: provides all the swim toys you may need to save you the hassle of bringing a pull buoy over. Private lanes mean there was no public obstruction and there was plenty of space for swim analysis and open water skills practice.
- 400m outdoor track: quiet and perfect for analysis and interval work.
Environment:
- Sunny and warm every. single. day. Hard not to get a great tan.
- Smooth roads and mountains for cycling.
- Plenty of trails, natural reserves, and quiet roads for running. You could be running on the Almond Blossom Cross Country course!
- Stunning beaches such as Praia da Falesia are close by for open water (ocean!) swim.
- Town isn’t far away at all should you fancy a drink or two. You’ll find more than one Irish pub.
- Amazing cafes everywhere (think: 70 cents espresso and stacks of fresh pastel de nata).
Coaching:
- Top notch as always. A number of coaches means you get varied perspectives on each of the triathlon disciplines and can learn from their individual experiences. Fantastic coach:athlete ratio means you are always watched (no escape!). A true focus on quality.
- Highly tailored training programme, catering to any niggles; concerns; ambition; or anything in between. Suitable for any distances from Ironman to Olympic triathlon to Ultrarunning. Just ask, and the coaches will ensure to adapt the sessions to your needs.
- Well designed schedule means recovery time, big days, and social times are all meaningfully calculated and finely balanced.
- Advice and coaching beyond swim bike run and include nutrition, race preparation, mindset, etc.
- Thorough after-camp athlete report to help you continue progressing at home.
Participants:
- A friendly group of athletes of varied abilities, backgrounds, and ages.
- Always supportive of each other with a big focus on teamwork.
- Great fun. Triathletes are fun people to be around.
Post-camp:
- I had a blast and am still buzzing from the great week. Wish I was still there!
- Many technical learnings which I am trying to implement at home. Big mindset shifts to set my season off to a good start.
- This early season camp is really designed for this time of the year with some noticeable differences from other TTH camps I have attended. I love the variety of camps that TTH offers and I look forward to experiencing every one of them.

I've been a coached athlete with TTH for over a year. Attending the training camp in Portugal with TTH was an amazing experience. The week was well planned and well supported with consideration taken for your strengths, weaknesses and what your goals are. I had a great time and learnt so much about my form and abilities which I will take away and continue to apply going forward in my training. I also met some great, like-minded individuals and friends from the trip. Honestly recommend this for anyone who wants to have a week of training to support your goals going forward. Plus the food was fab!!!

The coaches were amazing, knowledgeable and always around if you needed advice.
I loved it and met great people and also being in Portugal was the icing on the cake. I feel fitter and more confident with my training going forward!

I have found Denise to be patient and knowledgeable as she has slowly corrected the many faults in my swimming technique.
The video footage and debrief provided by Denise really helped me to see where i was going wrong and i am starting to see my times come down.
Would happily recommend Denise to help in your sporting aspirations

Denise is great as a swim coach - both on the focused evening sessions and indeed on the open to all pool sessions on the Saturday my only complaint is I can't get along to enough of them - highly recommend going along - you'll get faster for sure!

TTH are excellent at helping me cut through the noise and barage of information that is marketed to those who enjoy developing in a sport. They provide an expert and highly personalised approach to my programming, while also helping me to identify the holistic progress and growth I am achieving.

My wife surprised me with a wedding gift of an Ironman ticket to Wales. Whether or not she did that to get me out the house or just to laugh at me as I get swept out into the Irish sea is another discussion.
However, Phillip and his team have been excellent at coaching and guiding me each of the three disciplines. I'm already a pretty good runner but I have to say these sessions have pushed me in training further than I ever would when on my own. I'm no longer swimming like the Titanic with me feet dragging me down in the pool and I've raised my FTP by several notches on Zwift.
Now I can't wait to get up for training at 5:30 am to swim or bike with the rest of the team and I'm certainly starting to think the Wife is regretting this now as I'm never around the house!
Professional outfit and top class coaching. Great like minded athletes and you'll certainly get more out of your training by joining TTH.
