True Trips organized a trip for my wife and me to Tuscany, and it was an absolutely amazing trip. Hotels were great, transfers were friendly and on time, and the guides truly made the trip perfect. The high point was a day we spent truffle hunting, arranged by our guide Martina Grillini, followed by a delicious lunch at Agriturismo Rocca. We tasted fresh wine, being macerated (a new word for me), and ate the truffles we (actually, Bebe the truffle dog) collected. A memory for a lifetime. Thank you, True Trips

We spent a magical 10 days in Greece planned by True Trips. Irini, Zena and the rest of the True Trips staff were incredibly helpful and responsive through the entire process. Because of Covid, we had several bumps in our planning along the way, yet they navigated everything beautifully and were always very quick to respond to any questions that I had. Everything they arranged for us was top notch - from the transfers to the tours, as well as our beautiful accommodations. We would highly recommend them!

I was planning a family trip to Greece to celebrate my father's birthday. I usually love planning trips, but so many beautiful destinations in Greece, and as a family with varying ages and interests (family of 10 people, ages from 6 to 70), it was impossible for me to decide on anything. I also wanted to make sure that we will be taken care of in Greece and the trip will be hassle free.
I found TrueTrips through a referral, and they made the process so easy for me. Their turnaround time is impressive, and their online platform makes planning and sharing the trip super easy. I was thrilled with the itinerary they selected for us and could not wait for June!
Unfortunately, COVID-19 hit, and we had to postpone the trip. TrueTrips was very accommodating about the situation, and we plan to travel in 2021.(Crossing fingers it will be safe to travel then...) Thanks TrueTrips, we look forward to next year!

TrueTrips continues to be superb!
My husband and I started using TrueTrips several years ago, when they were still TrueGreece. We have gone on three wonderful trips to Greece with them, and had planned a family trip to Italy, which we sadly have had to postpone because of the current pandemic. They have been wonderful about the Italy plans, and have let us postpone our plans until 2022. It’s a perfect trip, and we can’t wait.
I can’t say enough good things about our experiences with TrueTrips, they are like a wonderful family. The trip advisors are knowledgeable and patient, and work hard to ensure we have the perfect experience. They help guide, as well as respond to our wishes. The choices of hotels, transportation, and guides have always been perfect. When there was a ferry strike, they jumped right in to ensure our trip would work out well. We didn’t have to worry about any details. In fact, I can’t imagine using anyone else for our travel experiences to Greece and the other countries they specialize in.

TrueTrips went above and beyond in their handling of our options related to the COVID-19 situation, providing flexible choices that were clearly not required by our contract with them. We are entirely satisfied with how their team reacted during these unprecedented times, and for their customer focused flexibility.
I think it is also important to add that the TrueTrips coordination and communication during the original planning phase was excellent. Though we have yet to rebook for 2021 (the option we chose) we look forward to continue to work with the excellent team at TrueTrips.

Always Above and Beyond, even during a pandemic!
Due to COVID19, 2020 will mark the first Summer since 2009 that we will not be making our annual TrueTrips visit to our beloved second home, Greece. Our trip downpayment of nearly $4k was already paid, and our trip insurance did not cover this eventuality. TrueTrips is in the same situation as the rest of us, a small business getting hurt by COVID. Their lifeblood is Summer vacations in Europe. I am sure they are hurting. They had no obligation to us concerning this downpayment. My wife and I certainly didn't want to lose that money, but contracts are contracts, and frankly we should have paid for better trip insurance. But TrueTrips found a way to amaze us for probably the thousandth time in 11 years. They offered to honor our downpayment for any trip with them til the end of 2021. This is the above and beyond service that we have known for 11 perfect vacations, and why we will never travel to Europe and the Mediterranean with anyone else. They take care of you. You are never on your own in a foreign land. Perfect hotels, resorts, and restaurants, unforgettable excursions, professional guides and drivers, attentive and 24hr available office staff, and always some personal surprise hidden somewhere in our trip just to let us know that TrueTrips knows us like family. If Greece is our second home, then TrueTrips is truly our second family. If you don't like your TrueTrip, that's Truly on you.

We are repeat customers of TrueTrips, starting our relationship with them when they were known as TrueGreece. It was after our first trip (in 2013) when we knew we would be repeat customers. In late 2019, we began preparations for a trip to Italy/France (Sicily, Sorrento, Amalfi Coast and Normandy/Paris). Our original 3-week trip (due to begin on May 17, 2020) was then taken over by COVID19 in February/March 2020… right about the time toilet tissue was obsolete on supermarket shelves. We knew then that our trip was not likely to happen, at least not in May. We reached out early to TrueTrips to see what our options were. We were offered several options (travelling to other countries that TrueTrips services, cancelling our trip (which would involve cancellation fees to allow agents to be paid for services rendered to date in the planning) or postponing our trip to a later date in 2020 (hopefully). We decided to postpone our trip to September 2020 as we had not yet made our final payment for the May trip. We had purchased airline tickets on our own and could not change our reservations until ~30 days prior to our original departure date and refunds would not be given until “after” cancellations were made by the airline. We’ve since re-booked our airline fare and have been happily surprised with how well the original planned TrueTrip activities and accommodations have been transferred to September. We’ve had numerous conversations (phone calls and emails) with TrueTrip agents since February and they have been very helpful and accommodating. We know and understand that this Global Health Crisis has been unprecedented in our life-time, we were unsure how we would fair with our trip. The team at TrueTrips and their suppliers have worked well together and have provided us with an opportunity to enjoy their service once again while checking off yet another “bucket-list must”. We are anxiously optimistic that the world will be in a place to allow overseas travel, but also know there are still unforeseen hurdles ahead {Temperature/Health Checks, BYOMS (Bring Your Own Mask/Sanitizer) and other requirements each country will adopt before allowing travel from abroad}. Thank you TrueTrips for working with us to bring a World of opportunities back.

Quite disappointed with True Trips in..
Quite disappointed with True Trips in regards to obtaining a refund for booking a trip to Greece this summer. Airlines have canceled service and fully refunded fares but not True Trips. Their policy is to credit the trip for next year in the midst of this COVID-19 pandemic,
My 80 year old mother booked this trip of a lifetime for her family, and while no one can forecast travel conditions next Summer, a full refund should be provided less the service charge.
I would highly recommend another choice when booking travel to ensure reasonable customer service expectations are met.

We are truly sorry that the outcome of the cancelation of your mother’s trip was not the desired one, however, let us assure you that we have gone above and beyond in negotiating in favor of her with all our suppliers – as we have done for every single TrueTrips guest during the last couple of months – to minimize the financial exposure of canceling the trip. These are unprecedented times on a global scale and each day is another challenge with new data and facts to process and adjust.
The difference between TrueTrips and car companies/hotels/cruises/airlines is that you had paid us a deposit, which in turn we had turned around into deposits for our suppliers. We are one level removed from all of the supply of the service, with open cash positions across the board. With their deposits in their account, most of our suppliers are not providing us with refunds, but rather provide credit for each guest who wishes to use it in the future. This supplier practice is enforced due to national legislation, especially in the cases of Greece and Italy, while additional EU countries have also instituted such measures in an effort to protect systemic risk for the travel industry. This legislation allows airlines, ferries and travel enterprises to offer customers 18-month vouchers for bookings that were postponed after the Covid-19 pandemic, instead of cash refunds. Given these unprecedented circumstances and since we unfortunately cannot refund you funds that are unavailable to us, we believe that we did our best (although obviously not reaching your ideal outcome), offering the entirety of your mother’s deposit as credit.
We hope your mother takes advantage of the credit so we can host her and/or her traveling companions at a later date or year. Additionally, please note that the credit is transferable to other people. Until then, stay safe and we wish you all the best.
Finally, the emergence of Covid-19 and its aftermath certainly could not have been predicted, but moving forward with new trips, TrueTrips has ensured that guests are comfortable executing their travel plans under a clear, risk-free arrangement, protecting their investment. We are truly sorry that we couldn’t manage to provide a refund for you under the circumstances.
Our Greek vacation
Working with true trips we carefully planned our vacation to Greece. We looked forward to our itinerary of Athens, Crete, Santorini and Mykonos. From the moment we landed in Athens everything from our pickup at the airport to the hotels, tour guides, and transportation to other islands everything was perfect. However in Santorini everything changed when my wife was taken ill. This is when true trips went above and beyond, Our hotel in Santorini contacted true trips who then contacted me. They took care of canceling the remaining portion of our trip and getting refunds, contacting the US Embassy, arranging a hotel near the hospital in Athens. During my wife’s illness which lasted over 39 days in an Athens hospital true trips kept in constant contact with me from the owner to the staff to offer assistance and support during our ordeal, I cannot say enough positive words about true trips and I recommend them highly and I plan to use them in the future.
