Have used TS Gas several times for both servicing my boiler and resolve a problem. Have been reliable and efficient.

After using this company to install a new boiler, I had a considerable amount of trouble. Eventually I had to employ another plumber to correct the situation.
When trying to question the company about their service, I was ignored until I found an advert on FB and posted a remark. I was then contacted. I asked for the name of the second person sent to install and commission the boiler because he did not appear in their company photo . I was told they didn't keep records of all employees sent out on work!!!
Use another plumber.

Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending TS Gas. They sorted out our gas fire when other companies didn’t want to know. Harry was brilliant. So pleased to have fire working again with the cold weather now here.

It's common sense that any charge for coming out to clients which is on top of the cost of any work or repairs should be made clear from the start. It’s a legal requirement under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 (CPRs) for the plumber to make it clear they are charging you for the visit and that this is separate from any work they may or may not do.

Tom Stephens should have told me before he popped in to look at the boiler for 5 minutes, that there would be a call out charge and how much. Instead within a couple of days of receiving the estimate for a replacement boiler, I received an invoice of £90 + VAT for call out. Understandably, I thought there'd been a mistake and queried it. His answer was rude and unprofessional - "Did you expect a feee visit?" To which I replied, I would have expected to be told at the time and at no point during discussions was I told about the fee. I told Tom I felt he had not been transparent. He replied, "...surprised that you’d think we’d offer a fee service. This has never been the case in the past with you either." [*Note, so far he hasn't been able to spell the word "free".] He has never charged a call-out for previous work. At no point during the arrangement of the appointment was I informed there would be a fee, it was not reflected in the estimate and there is no mention of it on his website.

(In addition to this, the replacement boiler turned up unannounced by the supplier. With nowhere to store it, I had to send it back. Again no communication from Tom to say it was coming or when would be a good time to receive it. He suggested he do the work when I had clients in my home clinic right next to the boiler, which again shows a complete lack of consideration.)

Back to the call out fee, Tom offered to drop it if I went ahead with the replacement boiler. Unfortunately, I'd lost all faith and trust in him as a result of his lack of professionalism and integrity, choosing to go with another company instead.

There have been several emails explaining why the call-out fee should be dropped plus phone calls. I thought Tom might have chosen to accept his mistake and learn from the experience, but unfortunately I'm still receiving phone messages about final reminders. It's beginning to feel like harassment :(

If the phone calls from TS Gas don't stop, I'll need to consider taking action under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008

Be very carful what you agree with this company, especially the manager, Tom, ask for all the agreements in writing. Everything I will write next, I can back up with emails.

I had to replace an old boiler with a new one. I asked for a quote, TS Gas gave me a quote, which was not the best offer that I had received, so I ignored their offer. A few days after, the manager calls me and ask what do I think about the offer, I sad I had a better one, and he ask how much better, I sad, similar price, but the other company had included the removal of asbestos (flue pipe and floor board).
Tom said that he can do that, but he wants to test the asbestos, and as long as it is not the "very dangerous one that costs thousands to remove" (exact words) he will include it in the offer price.
I agreed, and accepted for people to come and test the asbestos.
After the test, Tom email, saying that he will only remove half of the flue pipe and I had to pay full price for the removal, although it was not the "very dangeros one" to be removed, which of course I did not agree to, as the other company offer had this included and the roofer to put in the new flue pipe.
Part of the email:
"This would be leaving the last bit of asbestos flue as it goes through the roof. Which could be taken away at a later date when you get a roofer in to repair the roof."
After this, I've lost all my trust in this company, and did not want to proceed forward with them.
They have threatened me, tried to intimidate me, because I did not what to go forward with them.

Very misleading, they will say one thing, and do another, they will give you one price, and come with another at the end, invoking all sorts of thing.

So please be careful on what you agree with them. If you think this is a made up story, please reach out to me and I will happily send you the conversations that I had with this company.

Great service from start to finish on replacement of boiler, clean, tidy and great job done, cannot recommend highly enough, thanks TS Gas team.

I have had a problem with my boiler. TS Gas came along, assessed it promptly, and did a fix that turned out to be temporary. When further problems occurred they came back quickly, without re-charging me a call out fee and then made a repair. Their prices seem reasonable and they have proved themselves to be reliable, courteous and effective.

Plumbers who answer promptly, communicate well, quote accurately, and turn up when they say, are, in my extensive experience, hard to find.
You can trust TS Gas do do your plumbing.

Rich’ arrived on time and quickly set about replacing my 16 year old Worcester Bosch Combi Boiler with a new one. he worked quickly & efficiently & was finished by 3pm. Highly recommended.

TSgas did a superb job of replacing our very old central heating/hot water system with a new condensing Worcester Bosch Combi boiler. The guys worked very hard and did a great job. Would highly recommend.

I spent a long time trying to find a gas engineer to repair/replace a gas valve in my gas fire. I spoke to Legend fires who gave me the contact details of TS gas, Tom arrived on time, explained at each step what the issues were. He was polite courteous and a very tidy worker. TS Gas was very professional and organised from the word go. We had the old warm air boiler and putting new boiler came with all its plumbing requirements all over the house. The first visit itself was done thoroughly with all the particulars of the work involved was understood. The size of the radiators required were noted down. Therefore they were able to give the total cost rather than the quote. Their quote was reasonable and matched the current going rate. Any queries were dealt with quickly and they arrived on the date agreed. The task force is skilled, professional and they had their instructions already given to them. They checked with us on the listing of the work to be done and got going. Any concerns were again dealt with professionally. The team cares about their work and name and it shows. They always arrived on time and would leave the house in the evening with all tidied up and clean. The team was very appreciative of their owners and their positive and polite approach really gave a very positive experience in dealing with them. They owned up to a small issue on my internet cable and they fixed it. I can 100% recommend them! Honestly they are so good! Don’t look for anyone else, they are the right people to go to for your any boiler needs.

Hello, I represent a group of flats in Sonning Common, South Oxfordshire.

TS Gas responded to an urgent situation on 1/9/20 where a gas pipe had been drilled through by a stairlift installer, leaving an elderly lady without gas.

Gas fitter Marvin chiseled out the cement covering the gas pipe, cut out the damaged length and refitted new pipe.
His work was done quickly and without fuss.
His work was done with cleanliness in mind and the site of the work was clean and tidy afterwards.
