Been using Tumblr for probably 10 years now and while I heavily feel that it's the "don't fix it if ain't broke" type I find it really annoying that nothing is done regarding bots. Also, sometimes ran... See more

Emotionally unintelligent con artists are running Tumblr who care about profit more than treating people with respect. People are getting banned like crazy on Tumblr while others get away scot-free. P... See more

Going rapidly downhill
Used to be a great site for passing the time, sharing memes etc.
Now: an utter UX disaster. The new Recommended posts insert themselves into your dashboard right at the top - getting in the way of all the stuff you actually subscribe to. The recommendations are also completely inappropriate at times. I've lost count of the number of times I clicked "This Post particularly sucks" - Tumblr somehow finds a way to continue supplying content I dislike.

Takes it self far to seriously!
Takes it self far to seriously not my cup of tea. People should get out more and make proper friends instead of hiding behind a mobile phone and chatting to god knows who! Well its 58 reviews and 10 000 reads. Ten thousand's today June 23 2118.
Great…
Tumblr is a self-described microblogging site, In this site anything to share such as Text,video,photos,link,GIF...and easy to coversation....
This company
This company, service, website use to be great. I really enjoyed it for more than 6 years. But it is different now. Like Facebook, Instagram or hi5, changes happened. It is still good but not like it use to be!
Totally bad
Totally bad. My account was exhorted because somebody raised DCMA complaints wihout any reason . The counter notification was rejected because it was NFSW content (without any other reason). That means that tumblr shut down your account any time, without checking if the guy requesting the DCMA complaint even holds the copyright. This means that your account can be shut down anytime without any reason, just because a troll is raising DCMA complaints. Whatever you do, don't signup on tumblr.
A quite good entertainment service to …
A quite good entertainment service to spend some time on but be very careful if you are using this in kid`s presence... its full..no, its FULL of inappropriate content which is not really moderated. Thanks!
Needs to catchup with today's trends
They barely have any useful apps for phones. As a daily visitor I can tell the site itself is good, sometimes a bit slow but that's fine. They need a better app.
Content deleted
They keep sending me mails about content violation. According to them they have deleted some content but I had already deleted it before they did so what they are doing is deleting something that is not there. And they keep threatening me saying that they will close my account if it contunies... Well as long as you keep digging up deleted stuff then there is not much I can do.
Shocking iOS app!
I love using tumblr. It's easy to navigate, simple to use, and overall a great way to waste a few hours of my week away. The desktop site works great - but only if you're accessing it from a desktop PC or laptop that is. If you're trying to access tumblr on an iPad, the experience is shockingly awful.
The app for iOS was never great in the first place - you can never use it for more than a couple of minutes before it crashed and closed down. Annoying, but it's better than nothing. But since the recent updates it won't even open at all when you tap on the icon - it just automatically crashes, and nothing seems to fix the problem.
To make matters worse, if you try to access the full website using a browser such as Safari almost everything you try to do requires being directed back to the app instead. The dashboard is just about useable, but if you want to perform a simple task such as reblog or like a page from another user's blog you HAVE to do it via the app. The only workaround is to go back to your dashboard and see if you find the post you're trying to reblog/like using the limited search function.
I hate it when web developers insist that you use their app just because you're using a mobile tablet - what's wrong with just leaving the full features available on the desktop site? I honestly don't care if the website isn't fully optimised for a mobile experience. Shouldn't the end user be able to decide if it's worth the hassle or not?
true love
Once you found tumblr, it would become mayor site in your life. Proper organization of your local dashboard will guarantee you're keeping posted in all spheres of life you're interested in: music, films, books, science, fashion, art, etc. You can also express yourself by posting things you like and gaining followers with same interests as you are, which can become the true friends for all life long
Tumblr is Love, Tumblr is Life
I love Tumblr, and I have made some good friends who share common interests with me.
A Well Meaning But Inherently Toxic Place
First and foremost I MUST stress that Tumblr can, and has, been an incredible place where you can meet people who share your interests, are fun to talk with, and be supportive of you.
It's just a shame that this can also mean you'll often be expected to think exactly like everyone else, fight on one side of the Social Justice War, condemn an entire group, reblog controversial posts, and not go against the grain of popular opinion.
I really, REALLY wish this wasn't the case.. it most certainly wasn't about 3-4 years ago when I first started using Tumblr actively, but that is without a doubt the state that it has devolved into. There is so much blind hatred for CIS, feminists, gamers, homosexuals, bisexuals, men, women, Steven Moffat, and so forth with no marked boundaries so all of these and more will constantly overlap.
You may be friends with someone who loves cats and the Power Puff Girls only to discover some days (or months) down the road they're also men's rights activists who think women are destroying video games. You may have been mutuals with somebody, spent time voice chatting with them, only to learn they think all white people (themselves included??) are scum who only make the world worse.
I've had to touch and feel along the ground the last couple years to find as many of the little boundaries on what I can or can't discuss without having someone fly off the handle about it. I've been accused of both being overly sensitive AND highly offensive.. because I think you don't need to be white to be racist towards someone.
I love spending time with my friends and discussing video games or various television and cartoon shows. I greatly enjoy seeing cat pictures show up on my dashboard. I just wish that the positive experiences outweighed the negative ones.. but they don't, and I've come close to leaving Tumblr entirely multiple times.. it's just that I don't have any idea where I'd go, especially since the friends who I DO really like to talk to aren't likely to go anywhere else.
