Very poor handling of a serious issue by Turkish Airlines.
I traveled on 27/02/2026 . My checked baggage never arrived in Amsterdam and did not appear on the baggage belt at all.
I reported the issue immediately and received PIR number then submitted all required documents. Despite this, Turkish Airlines rejected my claim by stating the issue was “outside their control”, which is not a valid justification. The baggage was never delivered, which clearly falls under the airline’s responsibility.
It has now been two months. I have sent multiple emails and made phone calls, yet I am being ignored. No clear response, no resolution, no accountability.
This is not just poor service , it is a failure to take responsibility for passengers’ property. As a passenger who paid for checked baggage, I expect my belongings to be delivered or properly compensated.
I strongly advise others to be cautious, as the airline appears unwilling to properly handle lost baggage cases.
I expect immediate action and a proper resolution.
Great Airline in my opinion
Turkish airlines get a really bad wrap and honestly I have flown with them 5 times in the last 4 weeks and they have been amazing. Super easy if you check yourself in so no need to worry about that. The prices for our tickets was so well worth it. The food was excellent compared to other airlines in my experience with the other 12 flight I have flown with this entire month and Turkish Airline was on my top good list out of all the other flights I’ve done. Great movie options, great food, staff was great, the little kits you get are amazing. The warm cloths you get before a meal and after a meal is great, real metal cutlery. Just amazing. Not sure we’re all this bad wrap comes from, maybe you haven’t travelled enough to know Turkish Airlines is quite amazing. So yeah keep going Turkish Airline. Will definitely fly with you again.

The attitude they have towards the customers. Especially when they find out your Armenian. The food was disgusting, legroom was horrible.It was not a comfortable seat, and I understand turkish when they were talking sxxt about the customers.

They cancelled my return flight and didn’t provide me a refund, they always say they will do it but never do it, I opened feedbacks and they gave me excuses, I have been more than 1 month waiting for their response, also the customer care is horrible, they just have call centers that doesn’t work properly…
In conclusion, it’s a totally disaster deal with them.

Me and my family booked a 16h flight with our 6month son, everything was fine and we could order tickets with a baby bassinet. Due to force Majeuere and operational reasons the flight was cancelled.
We were allowed to book a new flight but it was not possible to see if the baby bassinet were available, unfortunately it is not available on the new flight, I called Türkish Airlines many times to tell them about the situation. The lady in the phone was laughing at me, and told she could not help, if I paid extra money I could change flight, but without any guarantee that a baby bassinet was available. We have booked the flight month a go to make sure we could have the seats and a nice travel for us and the others in the flight.

Very disappointing customer service experience with Turkish Airlines.
My flight was significantly changed – the route from Billund was effectively cancelled and replaced with departures and arrivals from Copenhagen, over 200 km away. This creates a major additional burden in terms of time, cost, and logistics.
I contacted customer service multiple times to request a reasonable solution in line with EU Regulation 261/2004 (rerouting under comparable transport conditions). However, Turkish Airlines failed to meet these obligations.
The representative (Emre A.) repeatedly ignored the actual issue and kept sending copy-paste responses about compensation rules, which are not relevant in this case. I am not asking for compensation – I am requesting proper rerouting and assistance as required under EU261.
Turkish Airlines is not complying with EU Regulation 261/2004 in this situation, as they are not offering a comparable rerouting or covering the additional burden caused by changing the departure airport.
As a result, I am now forced to spend additional time and effort pursuing my rights through the Danish Transport Authority, which should not be necessary in such a clear case.
It is very frustrating to receive generic responses instead of having the case properly reviewed. My concerns about the airport change, additional costs, and travel complications were never addressed.
I expected much better from a major international airline.
Extremely Disappointing Experience – Overpriced Rebooking & Poor Service
My first experience with Turkish Airlines was very disappointing.
The aircraft felt outdated, the seats were uncomfortable, and there was no USB-C charging, which is something you would expect on international flights today.
The biggest issue was how they handled my missed connection. My full ticket cost around $800, yet after missing my connection in Istanbul for a 5-hour flight, I was charged nearly $1,000 for a new ticket. This pricing is completely unreasonable and felt unfair.
There was no effort to assist, no accommodation offered, and no flexibility shown just an expensive rebooking with no empathy specially as a new customer.
Overall, poor customer service and an underwhelming flight experience. I expected much better and would not recommend Turkish Airlines based on this experience.

Went to Manchester airport to go on holiday to Bali went to check in desk was told by representative that she needed to see proof of visa acceptance I told her that we would complete visa on arrival (VOA) she refused our continuation and told us to apply on line and when accepted return to line!!

Terrible customer service 
My wife and I recently flew business class from Istanbul to Dublin.
The cabin service was the worst we have ever experienced. My wife got no main course served, and I got what can only be described as dogfood. To make matters worse, we complained on their online customer service, and we got a complete denial- and received a dishonest response . 
I had previously found Turkish airlines very good, but after this experience, they have lost all goodwill with me.
And I now appreciate why thousands of other Trustpilot contributors have only given this company one star out of five.

claiming reimbursement for denied boarding
I was denied boarding due to overselling on my long haul flight and was rescheduled to fly the following day. I was told by the airlines that I will be given a reimbursement for the inconvenience. Considering the length of the flight this was meant to be 600 EUR, over a month later I still haven't seen any money from Turkish Airlines. They keep replying to my feedback form - which by the way is ridiculously lengthy and unnecessary and designed for errors since you need to enter the same details three times - and asking for more supporting materials. To each of their requests you have 48 hours to respond otherwise you have to start all over again. Despite the 48 hour window and me replying within less than 24 hours, the last response hasn't been logged and my whole claim has ben closed and I am asked to start from the beginning - that is if my cheque is still even valid.
Absolutely terrible customer service from the moment I was denied boarding, I was not given any paperwork confirming the rescheduling on the day of the flight, to today and still ongoing. The customer service team replies at their own leisure but demands for you to reply asap and even if you do, they find a reason not to reimburse you money they are legally obliged to give.

Call Center just puppets can just do what a simple clerk nothing more… NO problems they can resolve. Everything thru a feedback system that consumes time and nothing can be resolved, feedback center full of people programmed by a script and to say no even in cases that should be their simple responsibility!
Thinking having a lot of Aircraft and flying to most destinations makes a great airline by selling the 3rd world cheap tickets and filling Aircraft showing high number of passengers makes a great airline…. What a shame, numbers don’t make a great airline, Customer Service Does like Singapore, Like Emirates, Etihad…. What a waste… Stay Away plenty of alternatives out there especially if not based in Istanbul

My experience with Turkish Airlines was extremely disappointing and frustrating.
From the start, the customer service was unhelpful and at times outright rude. When issues arose with my booking, I received little to no assistance, and it felt like the staff had no interest in resolving the situation.
The most frustrating part was the lack of accountability. My travel plans were significantly disrupted due to cancellations, yet no one took responsibility or offered a meaningful solution. I was left scrambling to fix a situation that was entirely out of my control.
This experience ended up ruining my trip. Instead of enjoying my travel, I spent my time dealing with stress, confusion, and poor communication.
I expected much better from an airline of this reputation. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not choose to fly with Turkish Airlines again.

Extremely disappointing experience – poor service and no accountability
Turkish Airlines was incredibly disappointing from start to finish. Our first flight was delayed, causing us to miss our connection in Istanbul—but there was no assistance, no communication, and no support at all in a very busy airport.
Staff at the gate for our rebooked flight were rude and unhelpful, which made an already stressful situation much worse.
To add to this, two important and very expensive items of luggage (golf clubs and a surfboard) were delayed and only returned 48 hours later, despite repeated assurances they would arrive with us.
Customer service afterwards has been equally poor, with generic responses and no real accountability or willingness to compensate for the disruption.
Overall, a very frustrating experience and far below expectations. I would not choose to fly with Turkish Airlines again.
