Please do yourselves a favor by avoiding this airline specialy for a flight to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. All our luggages (19 in number) were left behind (apparently a customary issue) and still calling with no one attending to our calls. Please save yourself from pain.

Miles Stolen via Fake Instagram Campaign Using Turkish Airlines Branding” to participate in a “100th…

I attempted to participate in a “100th Anniversary – 100 People Campaign” promoted under the name of Turkish Airlines on Instagram. In the campaign post, there was an account named “Turkishkines” using the official Turkish Airlines logo, which led me to believe that it was a legitimate and authorized promotion.

Following the instructions provided, I proceeded with the steps and received a TK OTP (one-time password) verification code sent directly from Turkish Airlines to my phone. Trusting the authenticity of this message, I entered the code.

Shortly after, I discovered that a total of 22,000 miles had been withdrawn from my Miles&Smiles account — first 20,000 miles and then an additional 2,000 miles — through a transaction associated with a partner labeled “Apple UK.” These miles appear to have been redeemed under the name of a “Gift Card” without my consent.

I have since come across numerous similar complaints from other users who experienced the same issue, which strongly suggests that Turkish Airlines is already aware of this fraudulent scheme. However, it appears that sufficient preventive measures have not been implemented. The fact that the OTP code was sent directly from Turkish Airlines significantly increases user trust, making this type of fraud particularly dangerous and misleading.

Immediately after the incident, I submitted a formal complaint to Turkish Airlines. Additionally, upon the advice of their representatives, my Miles&Smiles account was suspended to prevent further unauthorized access. Despite these steps, the 22,000 miles that were wrongfully used have not yet been restored.

I request the full reinstatement of my 22,000 miles without delay. Furthermore, I urge Turkish Airlines to take stronger action against fraudulent campaigns conducted on platforms like Instagram using their brand name and logo, and to implement stricter security measures to protect their customers.

This situation has seriously undermined my trust, and I expect a prompt and fair resolution.

Avoid

This was my first time flying with Turkish Airlines, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Due to significant delays, I missed my connecting flight, which caused considerable inconvenience. The onboard food quality was also below expectations. To make matters worse, one of my bags was damaged on the return journey. Based on this experience, I would not recommend flying with this airline.

My original flight was cancelled

My original flight was cancelled, and I accepted a rebooking from Hamburg to Amman. I received confirmation that the change was complete, along with a reservation code and ticket number.

However, when I tried to check in, I encountered a transaction error. At the airport, I was told that my ticket was not properly issued or not recognized in the system.

The most frustrating part was the complete lack of assistance at the airport. The staff member at check-in refused to properly explain the issue or help resolve it. I was simply told there was no valid ticket, with no attempt to fix the situation.

As a result, I was denied boarding despite having a confirmed booking.

This indicates a serious failure in ticket issuance or coordination between airlines (especially for codeshare flights). Passengers should not be left stranded due to internal system issues.

Very disappointing experience, both in terms of technical reliability and customer service.

Poor customer service

If your flight goes perfectly, Turkish Airlines is fine. The moment something goes wrong, you’re completely on your own.

My airline-initiated cancellation turned into a costly nightmare. Turkish Airlines canceled part of my itinerary and failed to properly rebook me, despite initially promising they would. I ended up paying out of pocket for:

- A last-minute replacement flight just to reach Istanbul
- A $1,284 one-way ticket they should have covered
- Hotel expenses caused by their delays and refusal to act

Yes, they refunded the original ticket, but that was booked months in advance at a low price and doesn’t come close to covering the real financial damage they caused.

What made it worse was the customer service:

- Rude and dismissive staff
- Poor communication and lack of accountability
- Representatives who struggled to understand or assist in English
- No ownership when things clearly went wrong on their end

At one point, I even missed a same-day flight option because of their indecision and refusal to rebook in time.

This wasn’t just inconvenient, it was expensive, stressful, and entirely avoidable.

Bottom line, Turkish Airlines sells a decent product when everything goes smoothly, but they fail badly when it matters most. If you value reliability and support during disruptions, think twice.

Inhumane treatment of an 85-year-old passenger — absolutely unacceptable.

Inhumane treatment by Turkish Airlines.

We traveled with my 85-year-old mother, who was in severe pain and unable to walk. During a 19-hour layover in Istanbul, we were promised assistance and hotel accommodation — but received nothing.

Instead, staff were rude, dismissive, and completely lacking empathy. They separated us, ignored our situation, and left my elderly mother without proper support.

We were forced to spend 19 hours sitting in the airport with no help, no guidance, and no basic human consideration.

This was not just bad service — it was inhumane.

We will never fly with Turkish Airlines again.

THUGS, GREEDY, RUDE

My wife and I were asked to weigh our carry on bags on a broken scale just before boarding the aircraft at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. We were asked to reduce the weight. I pointed to the broken scale and demanded to bring a proper scale because I knew we were within our permitted allowance. The manager threatened to off load us if we didn't comply with what he said. A day earlier, US-Israel attacked Iran. We could not risk being off loaded. So, had to leave expensive gifts with the Turkish Airlines ground staff.
Later, complained about the matter to the airline, which appeared to be not willing to help.
During our 25 years of air travel, this was the worst experience.

Harming passengers health

They dim windows in their Dreamliners and don’t let you control them. When you ask them they are reluctant to change the settings. They do it in order to put people to sleep and have less work to do.l on board. Extremely annoying and unhealthy. They do it regardless of the hour and of whether it matches circadian rhythms of people in destination. They disrupt your sleep, harm your health and the company doesn’t care about it at all. When I contacted them about this they didn’t even bother reading my email and responded something irrelevant, vague and completely off. I will never fly with them again, 12 hours in the darkness with rude crew was enough.

Horrible experience

This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had with an airline.

Immediately after booking my flight on March 28, 2026, I tried to add my dog for in-cabin travel online, but the option to pay for and confirm the pet carriage was not available. Because of this, I had to call Turkish Airlines right away to secure the reservation.

Instead of resolving it properly, I was given incorrect and unnecessary instructions by their support team, which caused a delay. Because of that delay, the limited pet capacity became full something that would not have happened if their system had worked correctly or if their staff had provided accurate information from the start.

Over the following days, I made multiple calls and messages trying to fix the situation. Each time, I was told a supervisor would contact me or that I would receive a response the next day. No one ever followed up. Calls were disconnected after long wait times, forcing me to repeat the same situation again and again.

When I finally received a response, it was a generic template email stating that pet capacity was full, completely ignoring the fact that this situation was caused by their own system failure and incorrect guidance.

To make matters worse, I was then told I would have to pay approximately $530 to change my flight if I still wanted to travel with my dog meaning I am being charged to fix a problem created entirely by Turkish Airlines.

This is not just poor service it reflects a serious lack of accountability, coordination, and basic responsibility toward customers. I acted immediately and followed their instructions, yet I am the one facing the consequences.

Extremely disappointing and unacceptable for an international airline.

The behavior of the stewardesses was…

The behavior of the stewardesses was extremly rude, they laughed at us in front of us and gossiped about us in Turkish without knowing that we understand Turlish. During the 14 hours flight, we were starving and not served any food until 30 minutes before landing, practically during the landing time, with a very quick and hurried service. All the stewardeses disappeared during the entire flight and when we asked for a small snack after 11 hours of flight (in turkish langage as turkish is my second language to show respect), they answered that the snacks are reserved only for business class. Thank you for treating clients from economy class like animals, not offering any snack 12 hours long, delivering the food while landing after 14 hours!!! and moreover, gossiping in front of clients, not even having the patience to leave the room and gossiping them from the back.

I had a very frustrating experience with Turkish Airlines. I contacted them multiple times (over 10 emails) regarding my refund, and each time I was told that the refund had already been processed. However, I have still not received any money in my account.

There has been no clear explanation, no proof of refund, and no real assistance in resolving the issue. Being repeatedly told “it’s refunded” without actually receiving anything is extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

I expected better customer service and transparency from an international airline. Until this issue is properly resolved, I cannot recommend Turkish Airlines to other

Overall

Overall, the aircraft and in-flight entertainment were satisfactory. However, the service experience was inconsistent.

I experienced several instances where cabin crew forgot passenger requests. More importantly, the ground staff and customer service handling were disappointing, especially during complaint situations, where responses felt unhelpful and lacked proper ownership.

One specific example was when I requested confirmation of my flight. I was simply told that my ticket was not issued by Turkish Airlines, despite the fact that I was re-accommodated and physically flew with Turkish Airlines. This response was not only unhelpful but also overlooked the reality of the situation, where passengers reasonably expect assistance from the operating airline.

The most critical issue was when my group was flown from Oman to Norway, but our baggage was left behind in Oman. The way this situation was handled added unnecessary stress, as we were repeatedly redirected without clear resolution.

This series of experiences (April 1, 2, 7, and 9, 2026) was truly disappointing, especially in how customer issues were handled when support was most needed. issues were handled during a difficult situation.

I have flown Turkish Airlines many times and I have to say this year Turkish airlines have the most depressing service with old planes on international routes. It's like 2026 they put alll there new planes in storage and took the old ones out. What a shame u charge to be on modern planes and u out everyone on old crap. Also service was horrible and the food is just a waste. No taste nothing. It's like they don't even care anymore and think people will fly them. I would give it zero stars if I could. What a shame and if it's management issues then u better get new people on board.

Dreadful experience.. Absolutely don't book with this airline

We arrived safely, and we were happy until we were hit with the most ridiculous avalanche of events from this incompetent airline. 🥲

Firstly, we arrived. We searched for our checked-in luggage, three may I add. All three were delayed in Istanbul. Two days with no clothes, no revision guides for my child and no swimming suits. Two days were wasted due to the absence of brain cells that led the airline itself. I received them dirty and destroyed but whatever.

Wait I’m not finished, we were smothered in “good” food (I'm quite suspicious of it) but when we leave in fact to return to the UK after being accepted and let in, the staff who let everyone board made an absolute mockery of my family. Made my daughter cry, and refused to let us board until the very end where everyone was let on except for us just to laugh at us. My husband and I had to give them my sort code which if you are not aware, is for work and work only. My child was DENIED boarding because she is a minor and did not have this because she is clearly a student. The individual in the airport absolutely laughed, he terrorised us with this sort code when I had just arrived and my phone plan is UK only and I don't have roaming, forced to watch my daughter cry whilst trying to relieve this shock. I was competent, and yet he looked at us with utter evil, looked around at his colleagues and laughed. He thought he could push us to escort us but we remained absolutely calm, so he gave up and let us board. Absolutely disgusting behaviour, if you’re planning to take this airline prepare to be humiliated. 😐😐

Attitude Cabin Crew

We took flight from Sarajevo to Istanbul. TK1024 9 April. Seating at 24E,24F.
I don't like to give bad reviews but, when the cabin crew shows attitude, favouritism, this is bad. My wife asked for tea during the meal. She said very politely, but the crew give her a kind of look and just walk off.
At least, let us know that you will be back with the tea. Her attitude is fake.
She shows friendliness and politely with Turkish people and western white people only.

Why do you treat other ethnic groups differently.

Broken Seat, No Accountability

I was on an 11-hour flight from Hong Kong to Istanbul. My seat would not recline, and the in-flight entertainment (IFE) did not work. I reported the issues to the cabin crew, but she couldn’t relocate me, as the flight was apparently fully booked. My report was neither escalated nor recorded in the airline’s logs. Turkish Airlines has denied all my requests for goodwill compensation, claiming they have no record of any onboard malfunctions. This is an internal process issue, not the passenger’s fault. I am extremely dissatisfied with how my case has been handled.

Impossible to redeem vouchers.

I have been issued two vouchers with a value of 750 euros each for a cancelled flight. I have tried every way possible using the guidelines to redeem them and they will not process. I have used the feedback system with customer service and implemented everything they have recommended with no success. There is no phone number, no sales office - no other way to contact them and I feel duped.

I am reporting a major technical glitch…

I am reporting a major technical glitch in the Turkish Airlines app. While modifying my flight to Beirut due to the current crisis, the app explicitly displayed a blue banner stating: 'Your ticket includes the right to change your flight without fees'.
However, despite this written guarantee of 0 cost, the system charged me €1,677.04 for the transaction. I have a screenshot proving this contradiction: the 'Free of Charge' mention appearing right next to the massive charge.
This is an unacceptable billing error. I have already opened a feedback case (TK-XXXXX) and provided all visual evidence. I am still waiting for the full refund of this overcharge. Please fix this bug and process the refund immediately. PNR: TR35ZS."

Charged due to airline failure during disruption

I was charged €134 by Turkish Airlines to change my flight after a disruption, even though this type of change should be free.

My original flight from Tivat was affected and later diverted. At 03:00 AM there was no support available, the airport was closed, and their system did not allow a free rebooking. I had to change my departure airport within the same country to avoid missing another flight.

Later, their own staff confirmed this change should have been free, but Turkish Airlines still refused to refund the fee and gave generic responses that ignored the situation.

I ended up paying because there was no support and no working option in their system.
