Member of staff went out of his way to be helpful by bringing a product only available in the shop to an outside event for me to collect. Saved me an 80 mile round trip. In addition gave some helpful advice about my much used and loved Proedge.

Excellent supplier of all your woodturning needs. Cheapest pen cases I've found by a UK supplier. Finishes off your pens ready for sales online or craft fairs. Fast delivery and well packaged. Take a look. You won't be disappointed.

I ordered the wrong product and contacted them on opening it. They agreed to a return and arranged pick-up from my address s it was heavy. I am now unable to proceed with the purchase of the correct product and they readily refunded. Lovely, understanding people to deal with.

Can only order in stock items on website, unlike a lot of unreliable ones who do not update stock situation

Simple purchase experience, prompt delivery

I ordered a handful of small items and paid over £50 with the expectation from their information that it would arrive within a few days. However, after receiving their initial confirmation email, nothing progressed any further. There were absolutely no updates online or by email, status remained 'awaiting despatch'. It definitely felt like I had been forgotten. As the days passed by, I decided to cancel and go elsewhere as it appeared my ordered had been neglected and I was wondering if the shop actually existed? It was at this point that Turners Retreat suddenly jumped into action, seemed like they were more concerned by losing money than dealing with customers orders. To their credit though, they didn't quibble over a refund and returned my money straight away. It was at that late point they explained that they had been busy dealing with an influx of orders from their January sale which had delayed everything, but as the customer, how was I to know this? A quick update from them explaining why my order was delayed would have been fine, and courteous. But, I doubt they would want to advertise on their site that orders will arrive in over a week for delivery in 2024. As far as the shop goes, it looked like they had some very nice items for sale.

Easy to locate relevant items, good selection and choice all good quality which are well priced. Delivery could be a bit quicker but acceptable.

Just doing everything right: making it easy to order online and then having it delivered super pronto. Can't fault it.
