Great job of the support team, they are fast and efficientin, and in putting students and tutors in contact. On the other hand I think that giving four, one hour and a half, classes for free is is too... See more

Committed to Quality Education
We've known TUTOROO for a long time and have always found their team to be professional, responsive, and reliable. Their commitment to quality service and helping students find the right tutors has consistently stood out, making them a trusted name in the education space.
I gave 2 lessons but never got paid
I gave 2 lessons in December 2025 and my student confirmed he paid even more than 2 lessons but then he dropped my class. Tutoroo never paid me back even though I tried to contact them in the last 5 months. They kept saying they will proceed.
Im very disappointed of their service. The platform is not as transparent as they advertised their policies. I recommend the freelancer teacher won't step in such my case.
*Update 05 Jun 2026: After I posted my complain, TUTOROO made refund of 30EURO to my paypal account. However, I am really concern if they are honest to their users?
My student confirmed he paid "We have received your EUR 120 payment for the first 2 weeks of lessons at EUR 30 per 1 hour 30 minutes lesson twice a week". He dropped after the second lesson. So, if I understand correctly from the policy, I should receive 60e instead of 30e after 6 months of dispute?
Again, I DO NOT recommend this platform to all freelance teachers.

Very professional approach and excellent communication with the staff.
Payment
On August 3, 2025, I made a payment to Tutoroo for two trial lessons. However, no one contacted me afterwards, and no lessons ever took place. Despite several attempts to reach out, my messages were ignored, and the payment has still not been refunded to this day.

Stick to the guidelines (again)
Stick to the guidelines: the still continuing story …
It would be helpful to users if Trustpilot kept to its own guidelines:
[1] Two ‘reviews’ from the same country are published within a matter of days.
“Because this is an online job that will satisfy my needs and i (sic) have that passion of teaching swahili (sic) language”
“I'm experienced in the field and more equiped (sic) can deliver (sic) more than expected”
Update! It is now three reviews from the same country; the latest five-star states that the company helps you to grow physically; does Tutoroo also prevent hair loss?
[2] Neither review states anything about the company’s reliability or the service and support the company itself provides.
[3] Both reviewers are advertising themselves.
[4] Both reviewers are, therefore, awarding ‘five stars’ to themselves; I doubt whether Tutoroo will object to that because the stars would appear to reflect the quality of the company.
[5] One review has already been flagged, but no action has been taken, and so there is little point in flagging the other; you can be guaranteed that Tutoroo won’t flag them.
Those who use Trustpilot are not interested in how well ‘equiped (sic)’ an individual is, or what ‘passion’ they have; users want to know whether this company should be entrusted with money. Baseless and / or irrelevant ‘five-star’ reviews are grossly misleading and should be removed so that users have an accurate picture of the quality of this company.
[6] And – to be fair – what is the purpose of:
“i (sic) haven't used this app yet i (sic) wanna (sic) register myself as an urdu (sic) teacher”
What has that to do with the company? How can a user give a one-star review concerning an application that has yet to be used?
[7] It is ridiculous “reviews” such as this which – if not professionally addressed by Trustpilot – will open a floodgate of advertising or redundant comments.
Trustpilot states that it does not ‘fact check’ reviews. I suspect it is more than that; they do not seem to check at all, which is utterly unhelpful:
“To protect platform integrity, every review on our platform—verified or not—is screened by our 24/7 automated software. This technology is designed to identify and remove content that breaches our guidelines, …”
It obviously doesn’t work.
PS: (update) "You’ve written a review for TUTOROO, and they’ve asked for more details to better understand your experience."
The good old "genuine experience" trick - pathetic but predictable. Tutoroo wants to know more about my "experience": obviously reading what is published on this site is beyond them. They should try reading other sites where they do not have the opportunity to abuse the flagging tools that Trustpilot provides. And maybe if they reviewed their practices, rather than continually trying to hide negative and remarkably consistent comments, their score might not be so low. Do what you like. You do not care - and neither do I.

Do not trust their "Teacher Protection Policy" – It's a scam
I am extremely disappointed with TUTOROO. I am a tutor (Divana) and I’ve had a student discontinue lessons after two sessions. According to their own "Teacher Protection Policy," tutors are guaranteed 50% of the fees for the first two weeks if a student quits.
However, getting this compensation is impossible. I have reached out multiple times through their platform and email, but I was ignored. I even tried contacting them on Facebook; they promised a response within 48 hours, but it has been much longer and still—silence.
TUTOROO collects the full payment from the student upfront but refuses to honor their obligation to the teachers. Seeing other reviews here, I realize I am not the only one facing this issue. They exploit tutors' time and effort without any accountability.
Avoid this platform if you value your time and work. They promise protection but deliver zero support.

Stay away from this company!!!!
Stay away from this company!!!!
They charged too much for my lessons from my credit card. Have been in endless conversations with their customer service for the last 4 months, always promising that they are processing my refund..now they decided not to pay me back and keep offering new tutors. I just want my money back and never again deal with this company!!

I recently joined TUTOROO as an English tutor and the onboarding process was simple and smooth. My profile was approved quickly, which is a great advantage for new tutors looking to start.
What I like about the platform is the flexibility—it allows you to set your own rates and schedule, and once you are connected with a student long-term, you can earn directly without commission after the first couple of weeks.
However, it’s important for new tutors to understand that students are not guaranteed. You need to actively promote your profile to get noticed. Also, the payment structure during the first two weeks can be a bit discouraging, as tutors do not receive full payment upfront and only earn partially if the student doesn’t continue.
Overall, TUTOROO is a good platform to gain experience and find private students, but it works best as a side hustle rather than a stable source of income.
SCAM WEBSITE!
SCAM WEBSITE!! Do not use this platform if you don’t want to risk losing your money.
I contacted several tutors, and they told me the platform had not paid them, which is why they refused to proceed with lessons. I requested a refund, but was informed that this was not possible.
Additionally, there was no clear step requiring users to review and agree to the payment terms before completing the transaction, which is highly concerning.
I HOPE NO ONE USES YOUR SERVICE ANYMORE!!

scam
Unreliable platform. Many tutors shown as “available” are actually inactive or unresponsive. It’s misleading and wastes time reaching out to people who never reply. Don’t trust the availability status here.
