over 6 months and still no news of my refund

It's been over 6 months that I didn't get any news other than the usual "we are following up internally and will get back to you within 48h" regarding a refund request compliant compliant with Tutoroo's refund policy. Despite almost WEEKLY follow up on my end in the past couple of months. Mostly via the support team but I've also sent a couple of emails to contact.tutoroo. You also didn't provide me with any substancial response here either. Just promises to look into it but nothing done after MONTHS. That's quite some delay... Especially considering you promised to investigate this further also on here. I personnaly don't trust this website anymore that has been leading me on. Look at your cases in Belgium that have been pending for that long and you'll know who I am. I will not discuss it on the platform anymore. I want updates on Trustpilot because once I get back to the platform and emails you will continue with your "we are following up on this" for weeks/months as you've done so far. Btw you promised on Trustpilot 1,5 months ago to solve this if I contact you. I contacted you and you never replied and never solved this. Please update me here on Trustpilot when you are about to solve this and when this is solved. Anything other than that is just leading me on. Thank you

Do not recommend -- work customer service

This company is highly misleading — proceed with caution before purchasing.

I live in Cairo and specifically requested an in-person Czech tutor. I was asked to pay in advance, only to find out that the tutor was unavailable. It is unclear why the company allows payments to be processed before confirming tutor availability, as this creates a misleading expectation of service.

I made it clear that I was only interested in in-person lessons, not online alternatives. Despite this, the company has continued to ignore my refund request and instead offered online options that do not match what I paid for. DO NOT USE.

If a customer purchases in-person lessons, the company should either provide that exact service or issue a refund. Anything less is not acceptable.

Tutoroo is great for a tutor because of flexibility

Tutoroo is great for a tutor because of its flexible tutoring options. I am able choose online or face-to-face and there are also wide range of languages and subjects. It is also good for tutors like me who are looking for side income. The flexibility option is great as I am able to set my own schedule.
All in all, tutoroo is a great platform for both tutors and students.

Stay away from this portal is SCAM

Stay away from this portal is scam!
I worked as a teacher on Tutoroo, followed their policy, and never received any payment waiting over 3 months. The platform exploits educators, hides behind excuses, and refuses to honor agreements.

Delighted to be working together

I’m a Spanish and Italian teacher and I’ve been working with Tutoroo since 2023. I’ve found it to be a great place to meet students. The support team is always friendly and quick to respond. Of course, I’ve had lots of enquiries that don’t always lead to bookings, but that’s because people can’t quite make up their minds (perhaps due to the price of my lessons) – it has nothing to do with the site itself.

This website is functionally a scam

This website is a scam designed to induce payment up front and deliver no service. Many of the "tutors" that supposedly are available, are not. Even if you do get a tutor through here (which i didn't despite paying hundreds) whatever you pay to Tutoroo is not going to the tutor, so if you must interact through here, pay as little as possible, and ideally use another site.

A good working partnership

I have been working with Tutoroo as a teacher since November 2021.
I find them very appreciative and supportive of professionalism and high quality work.
They help set up the initial working relationship between student and teacher, and refund 50% of their commission if the student chooses not to continue after the first two weeks of tuition.
I recommend Tutoroo as a platform for teachers for all the above reasons, and also because they offer the best commission-related deal of all the platforms that I'm currently aware of in Dubai.
