I have been streaming a year on here I can no longer stream due to switching phone numbers and I had to send them my id and they still can not verify it is me due to there own 2fa system being so bad they scammed me out 38$

After repeatedly contacting their customer service to attempt to close an old account I haven't used in years, I'm simply going in circles, constantly contacting them and opening new tickets. Their customer service, which seems to be using artificial intelligence to reply, doesn't understand anything remotely in the email, misunderstands important details, then repeatedly closes cases over and over again because the information submitted for account access is apparently incorrect. Then there's no explanation about what's incorrect.

Leaving a Twitch account active most likely makes Amazon's surveillance capitalism activities completely legal, such as scraping Ring Doorbell footage and free Amazon cloud storage for CDN and advertising personalisation. As well as biometric information from Ring doorbells and Alexas, such as voice and face, which are used by the intrusive corporation as identifiers even without conventional identification practices, such as device and browser fingerprinting, account ownership and advertising identification.

Twitch ultimately prevent old customers removing that problem above by using their incompetent AI, or simply yawning through weeks and weeks worth of waiting, new customer service cases and endless frustration. The review score is earned because of no change in nearly 4 weeks of trying and more than 8 different cases opened discussing the same thing. Even complaints have been met with inappropriate responses, showing they're completely incompetent and not worth bothering with.

Stay away from them because of this, but definitely stay away from them because of their Amazon ownership.

Edit: After two more cases submitted, there is still nothing. I'm in the process of looking at legal and complaints proceedings. Their website has literally nothing regarding complaints, and, like I believe I mentioned above, they've already replied inappropriately to a ticket I submitted titled complaint. Strange company. Not worth the persistence.

After over a decade on Twitch, I am essentially being locked out of my own account due to their forced reliance on the Authy 2FA system. It is absolutely ridiculous that a platform this large requires you to download and troubleshoot a third-party app just to access your own profile.
I’ve spent days trying to log in. I waited the mandatory 24-hour recovery period, and still, the SMS codes never arrive. Twitch Support’s solution is a circular loop of troubleshooting that leads nowhere. Forcing legacy users into a buggy, third-party verification system is a slap in the face to those who have supported the platform since the beginning.
If you value your digital security or your time, be warned: if anything goes wrong with their specific chosen 2FA partner, Twitch will offer almost zero help in recovering your account. I’m at the point of giving up on the platform entirely. Fix your infrastructure and stop forcing third-party apps on your users.

I am trying to delete my account.....
Seriously NOTHING works correctly on this site. I am currently in the process of deleting my account, the first issue was LOGGING IN and resetting my password.. The sites is broken as hell, I could not get an email for password reset (which was the correct email). Tried via SMS, "Unknown error"... Tried again later, still errors. Tried again later, finally got an SMS, typed the code... Unknown error... Tried again in another browser, still errors....

Tried to contact support, 3 guesses?? The support form gives an UNKNOWN ERROR. Multiple browsers, no adblock, no privacy blockers, just plain Firefox & Chrome... Tried another contact form.. NOPE. Tried again a few days later on another form (totally unrelated form fields), FINALLY submitted. And I immidiately got a stupid email where I can reset my password.. Replied to the email...

After a while they finally gave me a temporary password. Finally I can delete my account.... Think again! The password reset form gives an unknown error.

SERIOUSLY? I am trying for weeks now to DELETE my account... This site is so badly made, even the interns at Twitch have to be shocked on how bad the situation is there... This cannot be an accident anymore.

I just want to see my family again... It's been weeks!
HELP, contacted support again and... They sent me a stupid email with the link to the DELETE ACCOUNT PAGE... Which, 3 guesses? DOES NOT WORK, AGAIN!

Is this some malicious compliance?? Please for the love of god do not even try to delete your data, or even use the site. It is an absolute shitshow there...

The app works wonderful on phone. I watched this one streamer called Ducksauce, I believe it was. He was playing a funny scary game called bite night and had me crying laughing.

I wanted to sign into twitch to make fun content but I missed clicked on the age so then I fixed it but it still wouldn’t let me in it says I’m not eligible.

The platform supports Nazism and fascism! They banned one streamer for a game ("F*** Hitler"), where the point was to mock Hitler, and denied the appeal. This is a clear sign of support for Nazism and fascism! I wouldn't want to be on a platform that supports this horror of that time! I hope people realize they are on a platform that supports this horror of that time, and this platform will lose a large part of its audience. This cannot be kept silent!

Twitch Support is not existent for multi billion company of this sort. Very disappointing and sad.

After creating an account and everything else that is necessary i try to login and it does not work anymore. A page that cannot even handle a normal login should be closed.

I recently contacted support to let them know about an ongoing bug with chat that I thought would be resolved but has continued for months since October 2025 and now into 2026. I did every diagnostic step they asked me to do, shared the screenshots they inquired for about the constantly disconnecting and reconnecting chat and got blamed for it, somehow told it was my fault and something I was doing even though I disabled extensions, tried using a different web browser than the one I normally use, and wasn't even remotely harassing anyone nor spamming chat as I actively moderate against such behavior in a Twitch stream I help moderate almost daily. I told them about where, even when no one was chatting in a stream, how lines upon lines of their own system's message "Welcome to the chat room!" would be the thing spamming chat and that someone else had this issue as far back as 2019. Twitch support is completely useless and they ought to know it. All they had to do was forward what they were given for diagnostics as the support team requested of me to forward to the development team and they failed at even that. It's been five whole years since 2019 and Twitch seems still unwilling to fix their website. That is outright lazy to blame the consumer(s) for a mistake the company itself has made and is unwilling to acknowledge it has made.

Jan 24th 2026 Update: Not only that, but they lie about being against gambling addiction as they run adverts for gambling companies like Prizepicks and Hard Rock Cafe. They limit channels that have virtual gambling without spending any real world money all the while now blocking feedback on gambling ads they themselves have an overabundance of playing all the time for more than a year. So I don't want to hear it from Twitch how they "actually care" about gambling addiction and the end user when they do nonsense like this and prove they don't care to fix their reputation due to complacency. If I could rate the company zero stars at this point, I would. The only reason I still use Twitch is because I have close friends on that platform, but I would abandon the site in a heartbeat if there was a better competitor to Twitch that gained a lot of traction.

If i could give this app a 0.5 I would.
There are a lot of amazing streamers than brings in amazing content like dougdoug, atrioc, CDawgVA, small humble creators and more.
But recently it has been bombarded with horrible moderation and soury judegment on allowing criminals and horrible personalities onto the site and that gives me a horrible time.

Trying to grow on Twitch feels pointless. You stream, put in hours, and nobody sees you unless you’re already big. Monetization is slow, payouts are weak, and the platform takes a huge cut while giving almost nothing back. It feels stacked against small creators.

Live streaming chat malfunctions on Twitch app and web browser, causing viewer and follower loss.

It's only getting one star because it's not possible to give zero stars. Literally the worst support I've ever experiences. They don't read the ticket, it's skimmed for keywords and a stock response is sent, presumably based on the first keyword it finds. Even if you explain in great detail or even in simplified form, the response you get will not be related to the issue you have raised.

I was trying to give them money so you'd think that they'd want to help with that of all things but apparently not. I'm not sure there's even anyone with a pulse working there, it's probably all badly coded chat bots.

For a company that charges so much, they invest SO LITTLE into maintaining apps

I love Twitch don't get me wrong. But they are doing way to much with the ads. I subscribe to the streamers I watch but now I get ads on the side of my screen while watching streams. The whole point of subscribing is to watch ad free and support the streamer. Twitch get your act together.

Twitch has no care for who or what are streaming on there platform, laws broken on stream with no bans from twitch, streamers stealing from stores , no penatly no ban, streamera sexually assualting somebody on stream with a day ban as a penalty. Its pathetic. It use to be a gaming platform now its full a idiots crashing cars being a idiot, onlyfans girls all over it now .. its a disgrace
