Ubisoft refuses to unlink my Steam account from an unknown Ubisoft account — for over a year
My Steam account (username: jaja20069) has been linked to a Ubisoft account that I do NOT own or recognize since April 2024.
I have been trying to fix this issue for **over a year**. I contacted Ubisoft Support many times and provided everything they asked for: proof of Steam ownership, purchase history, screenshots of the issue, and even confirmation from Steam Support that only Ubisoft can handle unlinking.
Despite all this, Ubisoft keeps repeating the same message: “Recover the Ubisoft account first.” But that’s the problem — I don’t own it. I’m not asking to recover a Ubisoft account. I just want to unlink my own Steam account from an account that is **not mine**.
This issue has blocked me from accessing in-game content I PAID FOR in Brawlhalla. Ubisoft’s refusal to assist is not only frustrating — it’s unacceptable.
This is not a complicated request. I’m not asking to gain access to anything I don’t own. I just want Ubisoft to remove my Steam account from the wrong Ubisoft account, so I can link it to my own.
If this doesn’t get resolved soon, I will continue sharing this issue on Reddit, Twitter, and with consumer protection agencies.
I’m tired of being ignored. Ubisoft needs to take responsibility for this.
Ubisoft Support Failed to Protect My Account from Hackers
Review:
My Ubisoft account was hacked. The hacker managed to change both the email address and the linked Xbox account, leaving me completely locked out.
Ticket case : #23983681
I immediately contacted Ubisoft Support and clearly explained the situation. I even provided full proof of ownership—including login error screenshots and evidence of previous top-ups on the account.
However, the support team kept sending copy-paste responses and asked me to verify the account using the email and Xbox platform—which I had already told them were no longer accessible due to the hack.
I asked them several times if I could verify my ownership through alternative methods like purchase history, personal account activity, or ID verification, but they completely ignored it and refused to escalate the issue.
This is deeply disappointing. Ubisoft shows no real concern for hacked players. As someone who has spent real money on their platform, I expected at least a proper investigation. Instead, they are more focused on strict policy than real customer safety.
If you care about your account security and expect real support, Ubisoft will let you down.
Ubisoft Refuses to Restore Hacked Account Despite Verified Proof – Consumer Rights Ignored
I'm writing as a long-time Ubisoft customer who has been denied access to my own account after it was hacked — despite providing overwhelming proof of ownership and identity. Ubisoft’s support team has repeatedly refused to resolve the issue or acknowledge their failure to secure my data.
On June 21, 2025, I received email alerts from Ubisoft notifying me that:
My password was changed
There was a suspicious login from Brazil
I live in Greece, and I did not authorize any of these changes. Since then, I have:
Submitted official receipts from Ubisoft Store, Epic Games, and Kinguin
Provided my original email address, which I still control
Supplied my last used password and account activity
Despite this, Ubisoft closed my case multiple times (Case ID: 23981243) and told me they could not verify ownership — even though all the credentials, purchases, and communications prove otherwise.
I’ve filed formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the European Consumer Centre (ECC Greece). I’m preparing a GDPR complaint against Ubisoft and seeking legal compensation for:
Loss of access to digital goods (hundreds of euros in Assassin’s Creed titles)
Mishandling of personal data
Repeated emotional stress and time lost
Ubisoft’s unwillingness to acknowledge a clear security breach, and their refusal to honor basic consumer and privacy protections, should be brought to public attention. I have all documentation available, including:
Screenshots of Ubisoft’s breach alerts
Proof of purchases with timestamps and email records
Full timeline of support interactions and denials
Thanks for sharing my story as part of a broader issue facing gamers today: the loss of digital ownership rights, even when proof is unquestionable.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Marios Giakalaras
My Ubisoft Account Was Hacked – No Support for Over a Week
I’ve been trying to recover my hacked Ubisoft account for over a week now.
I submitted all required documents, including Steam receipts, linked account proof, and screenshots. Ubisoft acknowledged the issue and told me it was escalated, but I haven’t received any update for 7 days.
This account includes games I paid for (Rainbow Six Siege, For Honor). I’ve been ignored despite polite follow-ups.
I hope Ubisoft sees this and finally acts. I just want access to my account back.
My Ubisoft Account go hacked
My Ubisoft Account go hacked. I provided screenshots of unauthorised attempts to login. I provided the screenshots of linked accounts being linked. I provided the correct username. I provided receipts. Took me ages to aquire them. Guess what they said? Not enough to verify that the account was mine because I didnt have access to the email. What is this service.
AC4: Black Flag and Steam
I bought AC4 on Steam, and Ubisoft Connect asked for the CD code, so I gave them the one Steam gave me. Then I contacted Ubisoft support, and they are saying stuff like "Restart your PC" or "Give me proof that you bought the game and it's in your Ubisoft library." I clearly said it isn't in my Ubisoft library because the CD code doesn't work. Wish I could give negative star reviews.
Support Case Mishandled — Now Avoiding All Ubisoft Products
I opened a support ticket (Case #23500772) on May 3, 2025 regarding a lost exotic weapon in The Division 2. What followed was a 17-day loop of being passed between 9 different agents, most of whom clearly didn’t read the case history. I submitted clear evidence (video and screenshots) and was still asked to repeat what item was lost multiple times.
Roughly 70% of the responses I received were copy-paste templates that offered no new information and ignored direct questions. Even a basic question like "Why do you request proof if you can't restore items?" was dodged until the very end. No agent ever took ownership, and "forwarded to the dev team" was used as a generic shutoff phrase.
I submitted a formal complaint on May 21 and as of July 2, I have heard nothing back. No reply. No acknowledgment. Silence.
I have since stopped using all Ubisoft products: including games I paid for years ago because this experience showed me that Ubisoft's support is structured for delay and deflection, not resolution. I was originally going to buy the Battle for Brooklyn DLC as I was streaming and recording Division 1/2 based content, but this support interaction killed all interest. It wasn't community drama, social media, or influencers ~ it was Ubisoft themselves that made their brand untrustworthy, through firsthand experience.
Ubisoft closed my hacked account case despite providing valid proof of ownership
My Ubisoft account was hacked — the attacker changed both the email and password, locking me out. I contacted Ubisoft Support and provided the following:
The original email linked to the account
A receipt for Rainbow Six Siege purchased via Steam
A receipt for in-game credits purchased directly from the Ubisoft Store (with my full legal name and payment method)
Additional linked games like Far Cry 3 and 5
Despite sending this clear and verifiable information, Ubisoft replied saying they couldn't confirm account ownership and closed the case without offering real help.
It’s disappointing that a major company can ignore such strong evidence and leave a legitimate user without access to their account or games. I received only generic replies and was told to recover the hacked email, which was obviously changed by the attacker.
I hope this review highlights how Ubisoft Support fails to properly protect its users and ignores valid ownership claims. I’m still without access, and I’m asking Ubisoft to take my case seriously and reopen the investigation.
Unplayable on Modern PCs, Support Unable to Help
I recently repurchased Assassin's Creed Odyssey in 2025, hoping to give it another try after my initial experience in 2020. Unfortunately, the game is currently unplayable on my system due to persistent crashes.
After contacting Ubisoft support, they confirmed this is a known compatibility issue with recent Windows updates. However, the support team was unable to provide a timeline for a fix or offer a workaround. To make matters worse, my request for a refund was denied, leaving me with a product I cannot use.
Due to these significant technical issues and an unhelpful support process, I cannot recommend purchasing this game—or other older titles from Ubisoft—for PC.
My Ubisoft account got hacked
My Ubisoft account got hacked, the hacker changed email, phone number and password. Also, I played on that account in 2024 September. So i can’t remember my Ubisoft account username. I contacted Ubisoft help and created cases. But they still unable to verify that I’m the owner even though I provided them proofs of Steam ownership with Steam ID and screenshot. I totally have no idea why Ubisoft supports hackers instead of the real owners…
Customer service is shit
worst experience ever. they should be sued for doing so much fraud and scams
No response from support
No response from support. They false ban players then wonder why everyone hates them as a company. Dont buy directly from them, ever.
My Ubisoft account was hacked
My Ubisoft account was hacked. I’ve contacted Ubisoft Support multiple times and sent full proof of ownership — including account history, game purchase info, linked Steam account, and even a video with my voice explaining everything.
Despite all that, I’ve received no real response — just automated replies. I’ve also tweeted at @UbisoftSupport with my ticket number (#23905572) and video link, but still no answer.
This is extremely frustrating, especially as a loyal Rainbow Six Siege player for years. Ubisoft needs to take account recovery seriously.
I just want to recover my own account. Please take a look at the ticket.
absolutely f’inguseless
absolutely f’inguseless. my account was hacked and information associated with the account was changed. They told me there’s nothing they could do about despite me providing evidence the account is mine. I only want it for my Rainbow Six account and now 8 years of time on that game is gone. Do better Ubisoft.

Literally first review
Literally first review, had to dog on them. Ubisoft mobile support actually is incompetent, I gave them PROOF multiple times, video AND photos I own the account yet they kept saying the original email doesn’t match I even showed them my email YEARS ago that was connected to my account yet they cant seem to fanthom I got hacked but yk good shit
My Ubisoft account was hacked
My Ubisoft account was hacked, and the attacker changed the associated email address. I contacted Ubisoft Support and explained that I could no longer access the verification emails, since they were going to the hacker’s email address. Despite this, Ubisoft insisted on sending recovery emails to the compromised address and closed my support ticket when I couldn’t verify via that link.
This makes no sense — if your account is hacked and your email is changed, you’re completely locked out under their system. I provided proof of ownership, including my original email, username, purchase receipts, and login history. None of it was considered.
Their support process is automated, cold, and completely useless for real cases of account theft. I am a paying Ubisoft+ subscriber and a longtime player, and now I’ve lost everything.
Very disappointed and frustrated. I expected much better from a major game publisher.
No help for account hacked
Could I give 0.5 to this shit platform. Ubisoft connect account got hacked. Even after sending proof that the account is hacked and sending information of evidence the stupid bot keeps closing the ticket saying it's not enough evidence. There's no customer care number. No one to support from their side. Even though the game was bought from steam. Ubisoft has to put there asses in my steam games and if the ubisoft account is hacked I can't play my steam games. What sort of dumb logic is this? Even after sending proof there's no support from their side.
Not letting me geet my account back
My acount got hacked and i wasn't able to log in, so i opend a "account hacked" ticket but they said i wasn't able to prove the lost account was mine even tho i gave them pictures of old receipt and other email's that it was obvious that the account was mine because there was so mutch account information. They kept asking for the email and phone nuber even tho i said the hackers had changed the email and phone number
