First of all account should not become dead if not operated on. No other bank account as far as I know assumes the account dead especially if its a saving account. You open an account to put your savings in and if you are not saving money you should not have compulsion to make any transactions.
To activate your account you have to go to the branch and then you are asked for pay slips and other bank's statements, Why bank wants to know if you are having income as you are not borrowing any money from them. He wants to know about my profession speciality- does it make any sense? The attitude of the staff was cold and unhelpful. It appears that staff cannot explain rationality of bank's procedures. He made me feel as if I owe money to the bank. It seems that there was disappointing for them to know that I am alive. After all this is Pakistani bank, a country having jungle's law and is run by army dictators.

UBL have a bespoke service which is commercially driven and focused on the individual relationship with the borrower. It is a true pleasure dealing with the friendly and professional team who have a fabulous understanding of the property market and are always looking to solve arising issues, quickly and efficiently. Highly recommended!

I have recently opened up an account with UBL in the West End of London. The Manager Mr Shaukat Khan and the rest of the Branch staff were very polite and helpful. The whole process was completed within a couple of days.

Thankfully I got in contact with Mr. Shokat, who changed my otherwise an extremely bad experience with UBL. He resolved my net remittance problem within minutes which was unresolved for over 04 months. UBL needs more professionally sound and responsible individuals like Mr. Shokat. He deserves 5 stars for his customer service but I'm giving 4 as a result for my experience with UBL before him.
