It was not the easiest of processes to follow. Too many assumptions of user knowledge levels were in place.
Once I had been through the process and understood what was required, it made sense.
To someone new, the instructions were too vague.

I requested the closure & transfer of…
I requested the closure & transfer of an existing ISA with a competitor and had to send 2 secure messages to ascertain the whereabouts of the funds which were sent by cheque. I was told it could take 3 to 5 working days for the cheque to clear. They said they’d received the cheque on the 23rd April (my old provider said they’d sent the cheque on the 15th!). I received a message on the 2nd May to say they’d cleared my cheque (More than 5 days). In this day & age, I can’t believe it took over 2 weeks from leaving my old account to reaching my new one. This has resulted in me losing 2 weeks of interest.
