Got a quote online , after they called you to clarify the information on the phone, they will charge you much higher fee.

Not a trustworthy company !!

Was very helpful and took the time to help. Unlike other mainstream insurance companies.

You gwt your initial quote after giving all the details. You get accepted for insrance. You pay. You then get an email saying you then need a telephone conversation to validate again. I forgot mh middle name. That cist £35 to amend apparently. The quote also went up.
Finally, when I had done all this...i got an email saying i had to send images of my V5, both sides of my driving licence, my DVLA check code, wuthin two weeks or the insurance would be invalidated. Ludicrous after all the details had already been captured. These guys are brokers. It turns out there was an admin fee if over £200 added as well after securing my insurance with Allianz..
Funny how they take the money first

– Avoid at all costs

I had a very poor experience with U Drive Cover Ltd. I paid a £633 deposit expecting my insurance to start immediately, only to be told after payment that I needed to complete a verification call before any documents would be issued. This was not made clear beforehand.

Because I needed active insurance straight away, I had to arrange cover elsewhere. I then contacted them the next day to cancel, as the policy had not been activated and no documents had been provided.

Despite this, they deducted £100 as a cancellation fee for a policy that was never in force and where no service was actually provided.

I was also told my refund would be processed within 15 days, yet I am still waiting and have had to chase them repeatedly with no proper resolution.

Very disappointing service, poor communication, and unfair charges. I have now had to escalate this further.

Make everything so difficult, take a deposit but then tell you even after paid your not insure jntil they call you, then an hour on the call to repeat eveeything said online in their own quote creator, then following on from the call they want even more info inclusing pics of Driving license when they took the number plus more information wanted. It seems constant and you miss one bit information its an extra amount added to bills etc. Complete rats.

They were really helpful and very prompt to sort out a cover note we requested excellent phone mannors and understood our needs

Leo did a great job organising my insurance renewal. He was able to call at a time to suit me, which was organised by email, so I wasn’t harassed by phone calls throughout the day. He was very efficient with his information and the whole process only took about 10 minutes!

They made it all easy for me to renew my insurance

Agent made me wait hours while keep saying give me 1 minute or just five minutes promising to ring me back when u said I don’t want to wait that long and my car showing not insured, rang me back after 30 minutes phone barely rang, I called again and his colleague answered said he will ring me back in 10 minutes.. he rang me back said everything is okay and assured he will send me the insurance documents .. been an hour now and no emails received… ???

FURTHER UPDATE — Still no refund after 3 weeks.
Since my original review the situation has got significantly worse.
UDrivecover have now admitted in writing that they would have refunded me in full — including the £45 cancellation fee — had I not initiated a chargeback with my bank. They are now refusing to pay and are demanding I cancel my chargeback claim and provide written bank proof before they will process my refund. They are effectively holding my money hostage and using my own consumer protection against me.
They have also invoked anti money laundering regulations to justify withholding my refund. Using AML laws to avoid paying a legitimate customer refund is an inappropriate and misleading use of those regulations and I have reported this to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
It has now been over three weeks since they took my money. I have still received nothing. I have been unable to drive my legally purchased car since 20th March 2026.
I also want to flag that the positive reviews on this profile follow a very suspicious pattern — large numbers of single review accounts praising the same named staff members with generic identical wording, and multiple 5 star reviews posted on the same dates repeatedly. Other reviewers on this page have also stated they believe most reviews here are fake. I have reported this to Trustpilot directly.
FOS investigation now underway with an assigned investigator. RBS chargeback active and being escalated. Do not use this company.

Too many steps to finalise the cover. Otherwise the service was very good.

Poor service and having only just registered with Udrive I’ve had nothing but hassle ,poor customer service and all they clearly care about is what money they can get out of you for doing as little as humanly possible .I already am certain I won’t be using them ever again and I’ve only been with them a few weeks utter nightmare
