Sent an international transfer of £2000.00 and they have froze my payment requesting more information. I provided this information over 30 days ago and they still have not released the funds. Customer service is useless, and this is what happens when you underpay your staff. No one from the international team will talk with me, I just have to accept that my hard earned money has been kept and there is nothing I can do about it.

Shocking customer service

Shocking customer service. I'm currently in a situation where Ulster Bank have now disabled my internet banking and suspended they app. All I wanted to do was transfer less than £5k. Hiding behind security but just want to delay any transfers.

Absolutely terrible service

Absolutely terrible service, they allow deposits but then demand you use a card reader to withdraw, which they do not give you when you set up the account and then take weeks to send you when you ask for it. They let you set up an acoount online but then demand you write them a letter which you have to post to northern ireland to be able to close it.

Not a really sh$t service- just a sh&t service

whenever there is a problem you go online. this never seems to work- ulsterbank has a bad record embracing online banking technology. then, slightly miffed, you naturally phone- you are left on hold for over an hour- now with no real progress made- you decide to
then you go into the branch and each time you go into the branch and queue up they are trained to tell you to go online.
this bank is made for shareholders- not designed for customers.
I have a direct debit I set up to a charity that I wish to stop. I cant stop it and I cant contact the bank to alter it.
im trying really hard to not call them a really sh@t bank and I am too polite to call them a sh&t bank.

Don't call unless you've nothing to do for the next hour

Genuinely cannot get over the bullsh*t that is Ulster Bank - after 10 years, all of a sudden my number is blocked? Crazy long wait times, staff that pass the book to the wrong bloody department and useless website. You'd know they're leaving Ireland, they just don't care anymore.

Long delay in fixing delayed code problem

Recent problem with severely delayed receipt of one time codes. Numerous call to bank chiefly resulted in my being advised that the problem likely lay with my phone provider - despite receiving codes from yahoo, Airbnb etc. I did check with provider and got phone itself checked - no problems. Most importantly, the problem remained unsolved with resulting frustration. An attempt to pay an airline ultimately required a call to UB fraud department - as with all calls, lots of waiting!! My final email received no reply but suddenly, the codes have started arriving immediately, as before -no communication from UB. ?? Due to UB phasing out. Infuriating and a real failure to both sort the issue in a timely manner and communicate with me.

Closing for lunch in 2022?? Backwards!!

Closing for lunch? Are you serious?
How about being open during the day time advertised hours? You don't see Tesco closing up for a sandwich and a cuppa whenever they feel like it. Get a grip Ulster Bank. Surely you could stagger staff lunch breaks so there's always a teller on the counter.
May as well go to an online bank like Starling and avoid these clowns altogether.

Great Bank

Waterford branch so easy and hassle free. Always in and out in minutes. Staff nice and friendly and will be missed when the Bank eventually closes. Until that day comes I will keep banking with them.

Terrible service.

Terrible service.

3 years trying to close my bank account after leaving the country.
Every time I call, the agent invents a new procedure. 'maybe you could include a certificate copy of your passport' after the previous agent tells there is no proof or anything required to close the account. I sent 3 letters already, following all their messy indications, and it is going nowhere. Today I ll empty the account and forget about it. They can continue taking the 3 euros a month of bank fees for all I care.

A terrible bank

A terrible bank. A fee is charged for having an overdraft facility and then they charge interest on top (at exorbitant ratess). Customer service told me I wasn't paying any interest - but logged in, the website says different.
