I am soo annoyed by this terrible company! Do not know how they even manage to still have customers! Probably because of the fact that it is so difficult to get rid of them.
I have no internet since 5 months because I moved to a different apartment in the same building I was previously living in. So at the new apartment there was no internet port on the wall. It took 2 months until Unitymedia sent a technician to solve the problem. He came but after he left I still did not have internet. Another technician came and said I do not have internet signal, the cable should have been probably broken somewhere until it reaches my apartment and he told me to change my internet provider, because it would cost thousands of Euros for Unitymedia to install new cable. So the technician called Unitymedia and they confirmed that they will cancel the contract. They didn’t. I had to call again, send letters and Emails, and still nothing. Meanwhile they still charge me for their “service”. They don’t care about customers, but just money. Unitymedia consumes my time, energy and money and not even provide the service I am paying for. I wonder if the CEO of the company reads all the negative reviews...and what his reaction would be if he does read them. Just terrible... I hope you guys do not enter in this terrible limbo, it is a nightmare, honestly! They do not deserve even 1 star!

Extremely depressing and disappointing…
Extremely depressing and disappointing service!!!! They just need money..I had given a notice for terminating the contract after 1 year of its service just because I wanted to move to another city where they don't offer their services. They asked to return their modem and I thought that's the end..After several months they are sending email saying I have to pay a huge amount although I didn't use. I wrote to them regarding the issue and they promised to terminate it based on my initial notice period if I send them my current residence proof. But then even after sending them my proof of new residence, they don't agree to terminate it and extending it. I would never recommend their service to anyone!
Poor technical quality and careless / aggressive customer service
After I signed up for a 2 year contract at the end of 2016, the service worked for 3 weeks and then was just not working at all for... 6 weeks. Customer service called several times was always saying "construction work going on in the network", no excuse, no compensation, I was even once verbally aggressed for (firmly but politely) complaining. 22 months later I want to cancel the contract and call customer service... 10 days too late. I am now signed up for another year with a 10EUR increase on the rate. No flexibility : they respect their contractual obligations (sic !) so shall I. Avoid them at all cost : any other supplier cannot be worse.

Worst company ever! do not know how to settle their bills. Cancelled contract a year ago and made sure all payments were made. Even confirmed with the company that the contract was cancelled and that no open bills remained. Now they are charging a service they did not even provide on the excuse that the contract was cancelled at a later date even though I have proof of cancellation.
Miserable!
Because i have to move abroad i cant have Unitymedia anymore. But to terminate the contract you have to wait till you have a document of the city that you moved away. So you cant terminate the contract a couple of months before you move. So you still have to pay for a couple of Months after you moved away. I think thats really miserable and its ashame!!!!!

Biggest SCUMBAGS in Germany! AVOID AT ANY COST!
We had Unitymedia for three years and are desperately searching for a new provder before July 1st, because we want to get as far away form them as possible. The service they provide is terrible, with constant interruptions, speed (120Mbit/s is the one we have) nowhere near what we are paying for (we are lucky if we have 6-7Mbit/s!).
We have tried several times to contact them and complain about their service, and the recorded menus on the call service is so terrible, it is almost impossible to reach an operator, even after 40-45 minutes waiting every time. When we did reach a person to talk to, and when we asked whether they speak English (our German is still not so good), they rudely replied: NO! and slammed the phone. This happened several times!
This is unheard of, even in third world countries, where we also lived and had much better internet connection and service.
I would advise anyone looking for internet provider to stay away form unitymedia. Now, we heard they have been bought by Vodafone, and perhaps this will improve things, but we do not want to wait any more nor do we want to experiment. We both work over the internet (my husband and myself), and are looking for a serious company who can provide us with what they promised to do, not like Unitymedia who is full of promises up until they sign you up for a two year mandatory contract.

Very frustrating
It has been 11 days since they were supposed to deliver the modem to our apartment. Eventually it did come but it clearly states it should be installed by a professional with particular training. This however isn't the problem since this "training" isn't very intensive, the issue at hand was the fact that there was no connecting cables or adapters at all with it. You would think after it showing up late, without someone to install it, it would at least have the proper devices to make it work. Today the additional cables were to arrive so we could finally have internet, but the deliverer decided not to leave them since our name wasn't present on the doorbell (apparently the name on the mail box was not enough for them). This internet better be fast or else I am switching to a different provider.
Criminal Company - DO NOT USE
If there were no stars then that is what I would give. My first review was in 2016 when we returned from Oman and unfortunatley decided to go with '120mbps' Unity Media. A joke straigh away, and that relic of a router they give you??!!!!.
So, 2 years later (we sent written notice in 2016!).......
We are finally coming to the end of our contact and just now have been told by 1 und 1 (our new provider) that Unity Media have cancelled our contract with 1 und 1!
Just had to renew the contract that we have already signed with 1 und 1 months ago.
I am at a loss how this criminal company can get away with these practices.
My wife (German) has tried talking to them to no avail.
What a complete and utter disaster of a company, I would liek to ring them but as we all know, noone gets anywhere with this faceless criminal company.

I got a contract of 120Mgb/s Download…
I got a contract of 120Mgb/s Download and 5/6 Mgb upload for 30 euros/mth.
The internet drops for about 4h per day to 1-4Mgb which makes it unusable, usually in the evening between 6-11 p.m.
I tried to contact them, where they denied to talk to me in english, however when i made the contract they did speak english...
When i tried to speak german they said the problem was in the router, however that's a b*llsh*t, as the internet drops down every day and nth changes if i restart the router(consider the fact they gave me the router as a rent, for which i pay)
Concluding, if you have any other option to choose another internet provider do not even think about Unitymedia... they lack of respect for non-german costumers.

The worst provider ever. First of all I was shocked when getting the first bill so high as nobody mentioned the technician's fee plus the shipping fee. After waiting for someone to come and install it, I've decided to do it myself as I really can't be without internet. After several problems, I wanted to cancel my contract as the document says: you can do it no questions asked within 14 days. Called the customer service to cancel and imagine my surprise when I was told there's no way to cancel it as it was made in a shop (1 of the guys selling within the mall). So as I was already trapped in it, had to keep it.
Not to forget that I was also promised a 50 Eu voucher after paying the first bill which I never got. Went to the shop, guy asked me to send an email to customer service, after they verify, it'll be send. Never happened. Than I called cs again to report the behaviour of their employee (in the shop) and ask for the voucher and they just said it's not their problem because he's a freelancer . And if he promised me a voucher, I simply have to contact him. And so it goes in the circles. At the end of the day, they lie to you to get you hooked up to the contract with the bad terms, being overpriced, you never get the benefits that were promised and their customer service is acting like bunch of terrorists. That is horrible and unbelievable that they can get away with it. I use to work in customer service myself and we've always did everything for the customer, solving the issues because we cared. Over here, UM only cares about the money and nothing else. What has Germany become and who is allowing this????

The most horrible service in the world. When I spoke to them in English, they warned me saying I am in Germany and I should speak German. I understand that I should speak in German but I am new to Germany and I am trying to learn it. But that's not how they are supposed to speak to me. And they take many weeks to fix the internet.

After waiting forever for installation, i have to call and request do it on my own. After 2 months of using, they sent me a mail saying i requested to change the contract to higher amount. Of course not, i called and explained. They admitted it was their mistake.
After 1 month the bill came with the higher amount and still with the explanation that i requested to change contract?
NOT RECOMMEND! going to cancel and switch to a better one. It is horrible the way customers are treated.
